frost nova? ice block? tempo mage? are you fcuking kidding?
Great deck, love it.
How important is Aluneth here? Possibly replaceable with Auctioneer?
I think Aluneth is one of the most important cards here. If you don't have it, try playing a lower tempo version of Secret Mage. Maybe one that includes Medivh and some Firelands Portals maybe.
I haven't opened an Aluneth and don't have enough dust to make one yet, so I've been playing the 2nd Arcane Intellect and it's been working pretty well.
Vs. other Secret Mage decks, which I've encountered a lot over the past few days, I think that Arcane Intellect may actually be better, since Aluneth is a negative tempo play on turn 6, and if you're behind on board that could be lights out. Vs. control decks you certainly prefer having Aluneth for the continuous refills, but I've been running into more aggro than control on ladder.
I still plan on crafting Aluneth at some point, but I'm not yet convinced that it's necessary.
Also, FWIW, ApxVoid (one of the most prominent Tempo Mage players) said on Twitter that he doesn't like Aluneth in the deck and would rather have more reach like Firelands Portal.
Required. Deck is built around Aluneth
