The main idea of this deck is to control the board and draw until you possess the 2 turn combo enabled by the MVP of the deck, Temporus. The combo is as follows: Prophet Velen followed by Mirage Caller on the first turn, whereas you double Mind Blast on the second turn for a total of 40 damage, 50 if they lack taunts (Credit to Flakegold for the upgraded version of the combo).
The deck can probably be optimized further (such as adding more draw/sustain), but the meta for K&C has to actually EXIST before that happens.
If you have any suggestions let me know and I'll make sure to test them upon release.
Thanks for viewing :).
Major Edit 2: After playing some games with this deck, I notice some problems as to how the game "flows". In light of that, the fol;lowing changes were made:
The deck was made more defensive and a 2nd Primordial Drake was added as I found that it not only functions as a dragon activator and small AoE, but it can potentially be a large wall on board when you play Temporus, as your chances of survival skyrocket with an 8 health taunt on board.

New expansion out! Time for testing :D
If anyone tries this deck and has a replay they'd like to share, dm me and I'll check it out!
Already had these amazing games!

Hi dude! How's this deck doing for you? As said below, I really suggest to run Malygos because of: a) sinergy and b) he es fcking Malygos lol.
Thank you for the deck, seems really interesting.
I replaced Twilight Drake and Primordial Drake with 2 Drakonid Operatives.
I think Twilight Drake doesn't have enough of an impact on the gameplan of the deck since you won't taunt it up. If you're playing against zoo/aggro/midrange, you probably won't have many chances to play it comfortably, and you'd rather mulligan for Duskbreaker, which competes for the 4 slot. And if you are up against control and combo, then it doesn't do much since you finish the game off with Prophet Velen and the opponent won't be too bothered by it as well. Its contribution comes from its stats only (which are conditional).
Primordial Drake seems indeed an unneeded AoE, as you said it. Maybe I'd use it as a tech depending on how the meta goes.
Drakonid Operative also is something to play on turn 5 and can potentially discover something to help with your gameplan or turn the tide on your favor when things don't go so well. So, all in all, I think he's at least something worth experimenting with.
I also swapped out 1 Potion of Madness for 1 Spirit Lash. But then again, both cards might be better or worse than the other depending on what typed of decks people are playing. In my opinion, Spirit Lash provides more synergy to the deck as is (Cleric, Acolyte, Pyro) and helps you to stay alive.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try out the changes you made and see how they work, looks promising :D
glad to see this evolving in such a way. it's actually getting cheaper for me all the time as well. ha ha.
It's funny you mention that lmao, that was the exact combo I had originally before changing it to what it is now. I definitely am up for trying both versions though! The one big reason I had for changing it was due to the potential of getting destroyed by Skulking Geist. I plan to try several versions of the deck and that change is definitely one that's on my list. If I find that version performs better, I'll update the list accordingly. But until then, stay tuned! And thank you for the interest in the deck ^_^
it has 2/4 op op card me like
Nice deck
Don't think we can optimize the deck anymore without playing it now. It has really shaped up! I'm too lazy to make my own deck so I'll just keep commentating on yours after the expansion hits and I can finally try this badass out ;D
I will be painful to craft Temporus, though. Shall I get the golden version? XD Decicions, decicions... Maybe I will.
Thx for the credit btw, really appreciate it! (Only 6 upvotes on this deck? Disgrace in my eyes, deserves 100 atleast)
I'm very excited for tomorrow! I'll most likely be making smaller changes that I may or may not post until I'm happy with it, but nonetheless this and quest priest will be my main decks. And thank you for the all the help! Keep an eye out for tomorrow ^_^
I'm an EU scrub so I'll have to wait longer then you as usual :/ I hope you have a blast atleast while I'll sit here and cry watching pack openings
You may actually deal 50 damage if you count your minions.
With just Temporus with velen and 2 mind blasts you can do 27 damage after your turn 7
I totally agree that Twilight Acolyte deserves a spot in the list, I compare it to a better version of Aldor Peacekeeper which is amazing for staying alive and has the added bonus of creating a potential threat for your opponent. Once the expansion drops, I have a few variants I plan on trying to see what actually works, but any suggestion as what I should swap for them?
Also, thanks for the compliment and interest in the deck ^_^
looks great. I can actually afford to build this as well. dying to try out dragon priest, but have been waiting for new cards before spending dust.
I was thinking of replacing Malygos with Mirage Caller or Faceless Manipulator. You can put out Prophet Velen together with Mirage Caller (if that's the minion you decide to play in the deck) on your first turn which leaves you with 10 mana on the second turn to do ALOT of dmg. Just two Mind Blast will deal 40 dmg. It also leaves mana for tech cards such as Eater of Secrets if Ice Block or the new Rouge secret Evasion are used in the new "Meta" decks.
Also, upon the new release of Twilight Acolyte you might want to add two copies of them and two Cabal Shadow Priest aswell.
That's actually a great idea! I hadn't considered using Mirage Caller simply because I'd forgotten about it until now. Upon further thinking, the combo with those cards now become immune to potential Skulking Geist. I'll make some changes to the deck shortly. Thank you for your feedback ^_^.
Edit: In regards to Twilight Acolyte, I think the card is better suited to Dragon Priest decks focused less on a win condition through combo, and more on decks centered around a more control-ish type list. But that type of deck is also on my to do list.
Hmm Maybe you’re right about the Twilight Acolyte, it just seems like a good removal in my eyes. You can use Shadow Word: Pain on the ”acolyted” minion and such. Gosh, there are so many good priest cards now, I want to play them all!
Depending on how the meta shapes up after the release, Lone Champion might be a serious contender for a spot in this deck since it don’t runs too many minions.
+ Isen’t Psychic Scream a good card in this deck? Even with two copies?
Psychic Scream is definitely a card I'll have to test in this deck. I basically have the problem where there are too many Priest cards to test them all in one go lol, but I could see a minimum of one copy being run in this deck. Thanks for the suggestions ^_^
