Quest Warlock's Last Chance
What is this?
Well, I was one of the idiots to believe in the warlock quest when it came out. I was even dumb enough to craft it! well boy have I learned. Anyway, I'm gonna give it another try!(I REGRET NOTHING)
so... mid range warlock?
Yea I think it might just work. Overvaluing the enemy in the mid game with the quest reward as well as cards like Cobalt Scalebane and Bonemare plus the demons you have for Bloodreaver Guldan and Skull Of Man'ari. The optimal game is: you play Malkazar's Imp + Cataclysm on turn 5 (or with the coin on 4) and refill your whole hand as well as finishing the quest. This works with Deathwing so why not Cataclysm? If not you can refill your hand with the hero power. Tell me if you think I should add card draw.
Some cool synergies
1. Nether Portal makes sure you have a target for Bonemare .
2. As mentioned before, Cataclysm + Malkazar's imp is insane.
3. Bloodreaver Guldan, Skull Of Man'ari and all the imps that the quest makes make sure you fill the board.
4. Doomgaurd helps you make quest progress if you have to, requiring a smaller hand size for Cataclysm.
5. Cobalt Scalebane and the quest reward
Some possible switches
I'm new to deck building so this may not be perfect if you have any ideas please tell me. Maybe I'll add Acolyte of Pain for card draw. Maybe even a Crystalweaver for more strong board control. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK
Updates
I edited, I'll say what This Afternoon.
I feel like the new spellstone is great in control lock, but kinda weak everywhere else. The problem with discard lock especially in this case is that you can discard the spellstone. Think of the spellstone as a mini quest that you have to have in your hand to complete, doesn't always appear in the mulligan, and can be discarded. You also probably don't need the Kobold Librarian, because you already have a turn one play. I guess it could be used as a way to cycle, but it's a card that can be cut. The Skull of the Man'ari doesn't have any super strong demons to pull.
TLDR: You seem to have too many spells based on board clears and not enough minions to play on the important turns (no/few/poor 2, 3, 4 drop). I'll go ahead and make a deck showing you what I'm talking about soonish.
It's ok I'm gonna edit it. I get what you're saying. as for the spellstone, this deck only discards with cataclysm. I'm taking out the doomgaurds. also the skull after further thinking is just bad. And I need the librarian for card draw, I need to have a big hand and draw cataclysm. Nothing personal but don't make your own version, help me fix mine. If you didn't notice I'm going for a mid range paladin feel. I do agree that I need better demons though. Tell me if you think I should get rid of Malkazar's imp.
