Here is my shaman windfury deck I used to do pretty well this month. I am currently rank 4 with a 80% win rate. It's a really fun deck to play with. You want to put a stealth minion on the board (stealth so it survives 1 turn) like the Stranglethorn Tiger, wait 1 turn, then give it the windfury ability and combine the minion with cards like Rockbiter Weapon and Flametongue Totem to deal massive damage to the enemy hero. Do this 2 times and you win. If you don't draw the right cards you need, you can go with the 'YOLO Doomhammer win' (Doomhammer + 2 rockbiters = 28 damage :D
Combo's:
A stealth minion + windfury +Rockbiter Weapon/Flametongue Totem = a lot of damage
Doomhammer+Rockbiter Weapon = 10 damage
Leeroy Jenkins+Windfury+Rockbiter Weapon = 18 damage
ravenholdt assasin+Windfury+Faceless Manipulator = Conceding opponent
Recent changes:
- (1) Unbound Elemental, (1) Windspeaker, (1) Fire Elemental , (1) Feral Spirit
+ (2) Unstable Ghoul, + (2) Acolyte of pain
Card Choises:
Earth Shock
You just need this card in every Shaman deck to silence all the deathrattle minions around.
But most of the time you want to silence a big taunt when you're just about to attack with a stealthed windfury minion.
Lightning Bolt
Very strong removal spell.
Rockbiter Weapon
Use this card on a windfury creature and you will get 6 damage for only 1 mana!
Flametongue Totem
Giving windfury minions 4 extra attack is amazing.
Unstable Ghoul
This card is in the deck to counter Hunters with Buzzard + Unleash the hounds.
Also a nice card to protect your windfury minions.
Windfury
Best card of the deck. 2 mana,
double a minions attack. O:
Feral Spirit
The taunt minions are nice against a ZOO/Hunter.
I also put this card in to protect the windfury minions.
Hex
Best removal card in the game imo.
If you transform a minion no deathrattle effects will trigger.
Acolyte of Pain
For the card draw. It is better than Mana Tide Totem, because you can attack with this and it's a nice combo with the unstable ghoul.
Lightning Storm
Amazing against Hunters and Zoo to get the board clear.
Shade of Naxxramas
Always keep this minion stealthed until it has like 6/7 or more attack,
then you can give it windfury and attack the opponents face for a lot of damage.
Jungle Panther
Also a nice stealth minion. You can trade this minion with minions like Misha or Leokk
Leeroy Jenkins
Most of the time the finisher of the deck.
You can also combine it with windfury cards to push through massive damage.
Doomhammer
Imo this is the best weapon in the game.
16 damage for only 5 mana is amazing.
Combo this with rockbiters to push through extra damage.
Sludge Belcher
A nice taunt minion that protects your windfury creatures.
Stranglethorn Tiger
Stealth minion.
Faceless Manipulator
Copy a stealthed minion that already got the windfury ability to get extra value out of it.
ravenholdt assasin
Amazing 7/5 stealth creature.
Mulligan:
In your opening hand you always want to keep cards like Unstable Ghoul, Acolyte of Pain, Shade of Naxxramas, Feral Spirit and Windfury. If your opponent is a Hunter/Zoo you have to keep Lightning Storm also in your hand.
Hope you enjoy my deck!
Sorry for my bad English!
Looks really gimmicky, which is disappointing; if you focussed entirely on the Shade combo and supporting it then you would be a lot better off.
Besides, Unstable Ghoul doesn't belong in anything but a budget Shaman deck and especially doesn't fit this one, where you hit your own weakness. You're essentially helping you're opponent bypass Stealth with any AoE that otherwise might leave units alive. Including it to trigger Acolyte of Pain is just illogical when Shaman already has a card for that.
Finally a nice stealthy deck. Great job, man!
It's a gimmick deck IMO. Any deck that requires a specific draw or relies on a specific set of combos in order to be competitive (not just win), is a gimmick deck. What makes a deck competitive is the amount of synergy it has. And this just doesn't much synergy at all it seems. There are not enough cards that work well with one another to address situations that players are faced w/ in the current meta.
While it may be fun to play when things go right, I don't see how this can be considered a competitive deck. There is no way that this has an 80% win rate in the current meta. I think significant changes need to be done in order to make it a worthy deck.
It's not to bad.. won 10 lost 10..Deff don't see it as a 80%win rate.. a bad mulligan and you are kinda screwed against a lock, mage, hunter, warrior.. we have very little to remove multi minions and when we go get one of the two cards it hurts them but doesnt kill em.. Don't get me wrong i DO like this deck i just think it may need a little modification to hang with the control decks that EVERYONE is playing..
Which means it's not 80% win rate
I just wanted to say this deck is a lot of fun. If you can draw a [card]Shade of Naxxramas[/card] in the first 4 turns you have a pretty good chance at winning if you can let it buff until it has 7 or 8 attack.
consider al'akir instead of leeroy+windfury, since it can be used for sth else than as a finisher, since it has divine shield and a taunt
I love this deck, it's very fun! More exciting than a Hunter rush deck to the Face! +1 for FUN!
80% winrate is a bold statement for this deck, as others already said you would just sit there waiting for your combo cards to come up because the windfury mechanic unlike divine shields or other buffs is just bad when it comes down to trading with other minions, in other words, when you use windfury to hit the face of your oponent you just used a card and 2 mana without really affecting the state of the board, thats why its only good as a finisher and more so with thrall who i think has the worst card draw mechanic in the game (looking at you mana tide).
So I've been playing with this deck for around 20 games and let me start by saying it is extremely fun and satisfying to play. Being able to do 24-30+ damage in a single turn always put a smile on my face and I'm sure left my opponents a little dumbfounded. That is of course when the HS gods put the correct cards in your hand for the particular situation that you are in. With that said, I found myself more often than not sitting on cards because I could not get value out of them without having my combos set up.
As far as matchups go, I quickly found out that hunters and zoo/agro decks were extremely hard to beat. I didn't manage to beat a single hunter and only beat 1 zoo lock because he was an idiot and loaded up his board for me to storm. The thing this deck is lacking is an early game presence. If you don't draw some of your cheaper minions you are left sitting on a hand of expensive minions or all spells with nothing to cast them on. Even when you do draw shades early, you are left not wanting to trade them early because you want to let them build up health/attack.
Crenk, i honestly agree with you that's why after further elaborating I noticed that it would work much better if the windfury stealth combos happened earlier in the game so you had more time to live so does speak against zoo. my point is, I took out the two stranglethorn tigers and added in two jungle panthers just for the fact that they cost 3 instead of 5. Yes there is a risk though... random removal like cleave or consecration now effect them but honestly I think it helps so much its worth the risk. To people that play this deck and for the builder of this deck i hope you take this into consideration.
I don't get it. I tried this deck out with a few changes. No Leeroy or Ravenholdt but i use 1 arcane golem, and 1 argent commander insstead. I just feel like i am holding all my cards the whole game that only lasts till about 7 or 8 with all the aggro decks people faceroll out there with. Please put up a strategy guide or something.
WOo this deck is amazing. i got from 20 to 10 OP
Mmmmh i think that this is possible with almost every pile of cards actually...
