Zoo? That's tempo!
Many rogue from 5 to L so I change Concilman to Deathspeaker.
Got to rank 5 with a variation of this deck the last 2 months without Malchazar's Imp / soulfire (don't have Karazhan). Added two Fledgelings, works like a charm.
Also Acherus Veterans work great for some quick burst
Doesn't work for me. Really weak against everything :(
Anything useful I could change out for the Malech Imps and Crystalweavers?
Silverware Golem could enter in this deck?
Is there any replacement for Keleseth?
I must be doing something wrong, or I was just unlucky.
I went 0-5 with this deck vs 2x priest, 1x rogue and 2x hunter. (rank 18)
Before turn 4-5 all of my minions on board where killed because the enemy minions always had bigger bodies, killing mine while theirs remained alive. Maybe the win condition is having Kale in your starting hand or bust?
I have played like 15 games with this deck untill now... I didn't lose 1 game against a deck that is not a Rogue. But I lost almost all the games against rogues... what am I doing wrong? Like, I won 1 game against a Rogue... and it was a lucky game...
you think of adding leeroy Jenkins for even more burst? the card has won me games, I keep taking him out and adding again.
thinking about taking out my pirate section to try this deck tbh, but I do love my pirates so I'm just not sure right now.
EDIT: is the mortal coil really worth it? I always tend to just run one if I do as I don't use them all that much. I guess it's extra draw and can probably save you if something has 1 extra health. be cool if you can give me a run down on the benefits of coil (ha ha) I'm still a nub.
going to take out 1 coil for Leeroy for now. he seems more useful to me, especially with the deathspeaker synergy.
2nd EDIT: getting my arse handed to me. it's probably the card draw, but I'm really missing the burst from pacthes so switching back for now at least. It's a really nice looking deck though will try it again, just can't do with all these losses as I'm dropping ranks.
Wow! This deck is a monster. Though Prince obviously optimizes it, i've been winning consistently even when he isn't drawn optimally.
Good for rank 20-15, but I don't see it against the meta, especially 5-L.
Then u play it poorly. I play it with a 65%+ winrate in Rank 3
The deck does look great though, think I was just unlucky.
it´s true this version requires much more luck on the mulligan since u have more late game cards but it also feels much more consistent since u don´t have to worry about getting ur pirates eatin by a crab.
Sadly i can´t really give u tips that will increase ur winrate extremly high so u can climb with this deck. It requires luck and good decision making so u don´t lose the game against a turn 6 Dragonfire Potion or something like that.
Try to mulligan for a good early curve and keep going face against Combo decks and most control decks (trade if needed) and always keep the board clear against aggro decks... probably nothing new for u. U can swap 2x Crystalweaver for 2x Sea Giant and 2x Mortal Coil for 2x Glacial Shard (it´s great for pushing face damage if the opponent has only 1 minion and also really great against rogue so he can´t attach with his dagger) for example, they will win u many games if u can get them very cheap (mostly against tempo rogue, shaman, jade druid, murloc paladin). Crystalweaver are imo too inconsistent.
thanks man.
EDIT: I ended up making my own deck using this advice. the 2 x sea giant and 2 x Glacial shard are doing a lot for me.
you think there might be a use for bloodfire potion? I was also running another deck with devilsaur eggs and ptredax as well which was pretty cool. Not sure if this is just totally outdated or not now though. I do like those cards though when they work.
I seen a deck that uses them both which is pretty sick looking, but not sure if it's really all that good in meta. what do you think of this, please?
Sorry didn´t saw this post anymore. U can play Zoolock in many different ways more controlish with Cobalts,Lichking, demon package with Bloodfire Potion and Crystal Weaver, with Sea Giants for a extremly aggressive Zoolock or the Regular Zoolock. It depense on the current meta and to be honest Zoolock doesn´t feel that great currently since Tempo Rogue and Murloc Paladin are way stronger in early/late game. But it´s still a very strong and fast Tier 1 deck and u can get to Legend pretty easily with Zoolock.
The Deck u posted doesn´t seem good imo. It has a weird mix of control and aggro cards and probably will lose to any meta deck. N´Zoth is way too slow and warlock doesn´t have the option to stay alive until Turn 10 without any tempo cards. If u want to climb and play Warlock u can choose between any of the Zoolock´s... i prefer the Sea Giant version btw.
I play a sea giant version myself. I love the glacial shards as well. I had actually ran a version like this prior to your advice, but now I have a far more refined deck. I will post you it for your critique when I get home later if you like.
Sure i´m excited to see the list.
What is the better mulligan?
I've been playing this with comparable win rate (on mobile, so I can't post tracking). Here's my stab at a guide:
General Plan:
This is tempo, so you want to maximize the use of your mana each turn, trade efficiently, and stack up a board. You have a lot of minions and half of your spells cycle, so your main threat is AoE board clears. In this meta, that's mainly the likes of Dragonfire Potion, Doomsayer, Kazakus potions, and Primordial Drake, plus various mirror-match options like Defile, Hellfire, Abyssal Enforcer, or Twisting Nether.
Prince Keleseth is the core card of the deck, but you're not totally dependent on him. Your 1-mana minions are all good trading bodies, and cards like Deathspeaker further improve your efficiency. You've also got a lot of taunts, which you'll want to use to bait out removal and to force suboptimal trades for your opponent.
Mulligan:
The plan is always Prince Keleseth. If you draw him, keep him. If not, mulligan aggressively for him. If you've got him, look for Voidwalker and Tar Creeper, though I'll usually keep any 1-mana minion alongside Kel. I don't generally keep Soulfire unless I've got a Malchezaar's Imp because I can usually get that value elsewhere.
Notes:
Bloodreaver Gul'dan will usually seal the deal for you. If you know that Gul'dan is still in your deck, you can be relatively aggressive in getting Doomguard on the table. Keep in mind that you'll get an immediate attack with Doomguard when Gul'dan resurrects him. If Doomguard is on the table the turn you're playing Gul'dan, sacrifice him into the biggest body you can, then enjoy an extra attack when he's brought back. If both Doomguards are dead, that's an extra 10 damage for your 10-mana Death Knight.
Don't wait around just to proc Crystalweaver's battlecry. If you can use it to make a favorable trade on the board, even for a single minion, it's often worth it, especially if you've already buffed him through Keleseth.
Cobalt Scalebane is immune to Dragonfire Potion.
The key to playing this deck well is calculating the risk of your discards and managing your board. If you overplay into AoE, you're probably losing the game (the sole exception is when you're baiting out AoE with Gul'dan in hand). Likewise, you don't want to discard your win conditions. Overall, I would say this is an improvement over the Pirate Zoolock, but it's still a thoroughly Tier 2 deck.
cool deck
got me to rank 6 from 10 in a winstreak
