Here is a low-cost deck I made for finally down-ing Loatheb.
The idea behind is having a deck capable of deploying multiple creatures at once, with two main targets in mind:
- Forcing him to use Sporeburst so that more Spores are on the table, and
- Having as much minions as possible benefiting at once from the buff of killing [card]Spore[/card]s.
With this in mind, there are two main things you need keep in mind for winning with this deck:
- Mulligan for a Naturalize so that you can remove that Fen Creeper inmediately.
- Choosing the right moment for removing enemy's Spores so that your minions benefit from the buff. Not too early, for it would not help much, and not too late, because you could die in the meantime.
How to remove the spores?
Swipe is a great card for removing all spores at once, as well as Starfall. In case it is required, you can remove a taunter with Claw or use your hero's skill to kill a spore, effectively buffing your active minions.
I included in Poison Seeds also with the idea of *killing* all spores at once and having some spore-buffed X/2 minions at my side of the board, removing also any possible taunters. But I could not check if the combo would work, so feel free to try and/or remove it in case it does not.
Great deck ,I killed him in the first try.
Poison seeds does NOT work as a combo to clear spores. Do not use it except in emergency cases where you have board control but for some reason Loatheb has more threats.
Thanks! Duly noted. By your words, I guess you still consider it is a nice add-in for the deck. Nonetheless, did you consider an alternative?
