Top 10 Legend Proof in October (Season 43|Wild)
I think I could go even higher, but I'm actually done with this season so I stop right here.
Why Spectral Knight? He's the perfect card for Oil Rogue atm since he's pretty much immune to Priest. It's such a good play on an empty board and combos well with Tinker's Sharpsword Oil unlike Cold Blood
Dust needed to make this deck: 5380
Ahoi,
It's me again yet with another Oil Rogue deck. This time it's a more aggressive build featuring Buccaneer and Dread Corsair which gives you the possibility to include Ship's Cannon as well. This deck tries to control the board early on with pirates and cheap spells to do some face damage. At turn 4 - 6 you usally drop your strong midgame minions until you get to a point where you can draw a lot of cards (with miracle shell or Sprint) to finish your opponent off with a lot of burst. Instead drawing a lot of cards to combo your dagger with Tinker's Sharpsword Oil and Blade Flurry to clear the board and get the windfury effect, the Oil Rogue nowadays is a mix of an Aggro Pirate Rogue and a Miracle Rogue that's why I also like to call it Hybrid Oil/Miracle Rogue. Oil Rogue is an aggressive combo deck which aims to do a lot of tempo swings. Althought it looks a lot different than the Tempo Rogue we all know using Prince Keleseth, those 2 decks share the same archetype. Oil Rogue uses cards and combinations like Sap, Backstab + SI:7 Agent, Edwin VanCleef, Vilespine Slayer, Preparation, Tinker's Sharpsword Oil + Dread Corsair to gain a huge tempo swing your opponent can't deal with.
Is this deck better than Miracle Rogue? I've played enough games with both decks and I can guarantee you this deck is better than the usual Miracle Rogue in this meta. Althought this might change when the next expansion hits.
Vs Aggro (+1xDread Corsair, -1xPiloted Shredder)
I started to play this deck few days before Patches the Pirate nerf announcment. How much do you think that Patches the Pirate nerf will influence this and other oil rogue decks you have here?
New Rogue Artifact has been revealed- Kingsbane. Seems like it is going to be amazing with Tinker's Sharpsword Oil and in this deck, what do you think?
just place Kingsbane without description, it's more convenient
with Cavern Shinyfinder I don't think so
Hi there Kohai! GJ with the awesome Rogue decks!
I have a couple of questions:
-Why not run Ship's Cannon in this deck? With all of these pirates is seems like it can be very powerful.
- What deck would you recommend on using ATM at wild ladder, considering the fact that you have 2 updated Oil Rogue decks atm (this one the old list's page that says it was "updated yesterday"?
-What do you expect to see in the Rogue class in the new update: Kobolds and Catacombs? Do you like the "Thief Rogue" recent "archetype", that's getting more and more cards every season, or do you think the "good&old Rogue" is the best?
-What king of Rogue "artifact" would you like to see? Something like an actual weapon or more like the non-attacking weapons Mage, Warlock and Priest got?
i just wonder Sabotage is playable?
-2 Buccaneer +2 Deadly Poison
deadly poison much better than buccaneer. it helps your combo unlike the buccaneer also better against Mana Wyrm and Northshire Cleric
somebody can show me how to play this? i can't reach 15 :<
this deck is different :P
I tried use more brain. Now is better :D rank 16 from 25 ^^
Great deck again, Kohai, love your decks. Cheers
what do you think about burgly bully as a spectral knight replacement? still resistant to almost all priest clears, plus generates coins for auctioneer. it's really only worse against mage?
is dread corsair really better than shredder in this build?
swapped in a Leeroy Jenkins for the Edwin I don't have, feels great with Oil (13 burst damage out of nowhere)
Where is the Ship's Cannon?
"which gives you the possibility to include Ship's Cannon as well"
Its an optional card you can add if you want for extra synergy. I added it in place of Spectral Knight since I don't have that card
I don't have Edwin and Patches and can only craft one of them, what is the most important? And what can I sub stitute the other for?
Patches is better overall. He will give you more choices between decks you can make and isn't just used in 1 class.
Id say no to patches, hes great, but not godly. Edwin will not rotate and is huge in so many different variants
You're giving rotation as a reason not to craft Patches on a wild decklist?
Anyway, Patches is far and away the better craft out of the two. He's useful in a lot more decks.
