So I, like most everyone else around this time, have been really excited about the tavern brawl. There are a lot of fun interactions to be had, and generally a lot of shenanigans all around. It's what we really like in a tavern brawl: total madness.
Now I'm normally a Rogue player, and I went into this tavern brawl thinking "oh man miracle rogue is going to be so much fun!"
One painful game later, I had learned that the tavern brawl description was, well, wrong. Since card draw effects instead gave a 1-mana Peruse, my plans for miracle fell flat, since all those 1-mana spells not really doing much ended up being highly ineffective
So I tried a different tack. I knew I wanted to try miracle shenanigans, so I had to get around that mana cost for the synergy with Gadgetzan Auctioneer to be effective. And that's when it hit me
Radiant Elemental. Make all those 1-cost cards cost 0, and you have yourself an infinite card draw machine. And that is the basis of this deck
The strategy is simple: stall until turn 5/6 depending on The Coin, whilst getting out Radiant Elementals if you think they'll live, then drop Gadgetzan Auctioneer and begin the infinite draw.
In a lot of situations, you'll likely have two Radiant Elementals alive for turn 5/6, since the earlygame wall of Tar Creeper + Tol'vir Stoneshaper is really hard to break through, even in this crazy brawl, and is much more reliable, since you're more likely to get the right cards. Power Word: Shield is also good for keeping them alive, and gives you a Peruse on top of that, all for free. Then you just bring out the auctioneer, start the infinite draw engine, and try to get six Mind Blasts - it sounds unlikely, but it's really not. Once you've done that, throw them all into your opponent's face for a very satisfying turn 5/6 30 Health kill
There is, however, an obvious weakness of the deck - being an infinite card draw engine, Gadgetzan Auctioneer is going to overdraw you. This is where Silence comes in. Once your hand is full of cards from auctioneer peruse, silence your own auctioneer, and continue perusing. Often, a good card to pick from peruse is Power Word: Shield since, once the auctioneer is silenced, you can use them to keep generating more peruses without overdrawing, giving you more chances to reach the needed number of Mind Blasts for that sweet, sweet lethal.
As for the rest of the deck... Holy Smite, Shadow Word: Pain and Nesting Roc are... there, I guess. These three are mainly just filler. While they all get used occasionally, they don't really do much for the deck. I use them because I am not a priest player, so I don't really know what would work best, and am not willing to use the dust for priest epics, just so that my already good and fun deck (that costs only 360 dust) can become a slightly better deck for over twice as much.
Easy win vs Rogue for me. Thanks!
Replace Nesting Roc with Northshire Cleric. Otherwise the picks are solid.
Personally I'd lose Stoneshaper and swap in cheap spell damage like Thalnos or Kobold Geomancer
I considered northshire cleric, but it turns out 2 mana draw a card is terrible compared to 0 mana draw a card, and I essentially never used it. That said, I agree getting rid of roc is good. I ended up replacing it with arcane giant, which worked really well, but I wanted to keep the decklist on here super cheap.
as for losing stoneshaper, I disagree. The whole point is to create a strong wall to keep your elementals alive till you play the auctioneer. Also it synergises if you end up playing a radiant elemental turn 3. I don't think it's crucial like tar creeper, but it's definitely useful. Also, spell damage, as it turns out, just isn't that useful. I ran thalnos at one point and he ended up being a dead card. Since you go infinite anyways, there's not much difference between 5 mindblasts and 6.
