Pull up a chair by the hearth!
Let me introduce myself. My gamer name is Kasai, I am from Slovakia and I gained the passion for card games with Magic:The Gathering, but let's talk about the Hearthstone. I play the Hearthstone since the open beta in January 14. I have multiple accounts on both EU and US servers. I reached Standard and Wild Legends several times, but I am not really fan of meta power-grinding as I rather think about cool and fun deck ideas.
Despite the Fact I am not the F2P player, but we, who are spending our money on the Hearthstone, we need you! Without F2P players would game as it is die since you are the wast majority of the Hearthstone community. My priority on the HearthPwn is to bring you guys playable F2P decks. I am making those time to time when I get new idea, sometimes just budgetized meta decks and sometimes the whole new archetype. All of them are well synergized and viable for casual play, quests or even climbing the rank 5 and higher if you are patient enough.
Feel free to follow, comment or add me in game. I have all of my recent F2P decks in my decklist so if you want to ask anything about playstyle, mulligan or general tactics, go for it. I will write all of those if the deck gain some popularity as it is really time consumpting and most of decks die in HearthPwn archive with +1 rating.
Yours Kasai
High-end replacements
Shadow Visions for Fallen Sun Cleric
Shadowform for Fallen Sun Cleric
Faceless Shambler for Gurubashi Berserker
Bittertide Hydra for Gurubashi Berserker
Scaled Nightmare for Gurubashi Berserker
Prophet Velen + 2 Mind Blast for Gurubashi Berserker and 2 Fallen Sun Cleric
Shadowreaper Anduin for Gurubashi Berserker
Genzo, the Shark for Cult Master
Elise the Trailblazer for Cult Master
The Black Knight for Shadow Word: Pain
The Lich King for Gurubashi Berserker
If you want to add more than one replacement and you wonder what to throw away, just let me know.
I have Lich king, visions, Hydra and velen. I want to upgrade this deck. You do not have to use all of these cards. Thank you for your advice.
If you have 2 Hydras I would go both and -1 Cult Master.
Same for Shadow Visions and -1 Fallen Sun Cleric.
Prophet Velen is in replacements only for those who have no other viable big cards at all. He makes this deck very greedy and I wouldn't play him here with your collection.
What about shadowreaper Anuin? I'm out of the pack today.
Same like Prophet Velen. It is fine addition if you have no other cards, but in your situation it is not useful that much. You should maybe start to save dust for Highlander Priest as you pretty much have all core cards except for Raza the Chained.
Thanks for the advice. There are Lyra and Thalnos too, so I have to try to make Highlender priest!
This decklist has been a ton of fun, thanks for sharing it. Do you think you will add more upgrade options?
Also, would you say Faceless Shambler is a better replacement for Gurubashi Berserker than Shadowreaper Anduin?
I actually think that Faceless Shambler is not that much viable as in Silence OTK Priest but if you are facing a lot of aggro decks with small minions, Shadowreaper Anduin is almost useless. Anduin's OP-ness is in his hero power "machinegun" and well, you really won't get it in this deck. Faceless Shambler is way more flexible here though. If you want to run both, I would recommend you to go -1 Gurubashi Berserker and -1 Happy Ghoul (or -2 ghouls if you have 2 shamblers). Happy Ghoul seems to have big value, but in fact it doesn't.
Would Mana Geode be a possible replacement for Ravasaur Runt?
ive played this style deck a ton and mana geode works very well with shadow ascendant and talonpriest.
I also recommend a copy of temple enforcer as its a big body that makes other minions big bodies.
I also like to use non-meta decks. I crafted a "Big Priest" deck and won a bunch, but they all felt like hollow victories because it wasn't my deck idea and a bunch of other people are playing the exact same deck. Big Priest and the current Highlander Priest are just boring as hell to play, either with or against, and the idea that you need a bunch of legendaries to make any viable deck is such an obvious ploy from the creators to try and get us to overspend on the game.
I love this deck concept. I've been playing Priest decks ever since I started playing hearthstone, and have always tried to make decks that a typical player wouldn't expect, which in the case for Priest would be an Aggro Priest. Some of my favorite moments in hearthstone are when a player plays Curious Glimmeroot and they take forever to choose because they have no idea what my deck even is by turn 3. I've been a roll lately, I haven't had anyone pull a successful card from their Glimmeroot in a few days now lol.
I'm kinda surprised you don't have Injured Blademaster and Circle of Healing. It's kinda devastating getting a 3 mana 5/8 on the board if Shadow Ascendant is already in play. Plus Circle of Healing can get your Lightwarden up to ridiculous attack values just by trading with a few of your other minions, and also the card draw effect is amazing with Northshire cleric. Even Circle of Healing doing nothing more than healing all your minions with no other combos is pretty good for just keeping your minions alive longer. Blademaster would be way more impactful than a Ravasaur Runt IMO, and he was just made to use Inner Fire on him once he's at full health. A 7/7 ready to attack on turn 4 is what other Aggro decks dream of.
I also love using Circle of Healing to take out the enemy board with Auchenai Soulpriest. Auchenai is also good if you're close to winning, but are running out of steam, you can just use your hero power to their face if need be.
Anyway, another idea I had was adding a Mass Dispel. With Bonemare in so many decks now, along with Prince Kelseth, and Druid and Warrior having an army of taunt minions, it could be the critical difference in tons of ranked match-ups. Not to mention it can take care of lots of other annoying minions you'll face. This spell makes it so your minions can focus on face damage as much as possible. I also noticed that in a lot of decks that use the new Death Knight heroes I will come very close to winning with Aggro Priest until their damn DK Hero comes into play, then the tide of the match turns dramatically. For that reason I added Mind Blast, and that has definitely helped at times. Mind Blast also saved me against Rogues who love to Vanish my beautiful board full of minions right when I'm about to pwn their faces.
I just want to point out to anyone who didn't know this, but Mass Dispel had no effect on Quest Rogue's buffed minions, which really bothered me and made no sense, but I'm just happy that stupid, horrible, deck is no longer in play. I'm glad to say that Mass Dispel DOES work on Prince Kelseth's buffed minions, which gives you a slight edge against the current Tempo Rogue.
Hello JudasPreacher!
Many thanks for your great post!
I really like your idea and honestly I wasn't thinking this way at all. I will definitely consider it when I will brew Aggro Priest v2.
What would you remove to add the Circle/Blademaster/Mass Dispel(s)?
Gurubashi is kind of slow so it can be taken out, and 1 ravasaur runt can be taken out for 2 Injured Blademasters. And since Circle of Healing can contribute to a card draw effect I would maybe take out the Cult Master, although I do like the card in this deck. Also I think Sunborn Val'kyr can go, but I've never really used this card on the ladder so maybe it's more effective than I think.
i have this cards and i want to insert them but how to replace properly: btw thanks for deck!
Shadow Visions for Fallen Sun Cleric
Shadowform for Fallen Sun Cleric
Faceless Shambler for Gurubashi Berserker
Bittertide Hydra for Gurubashi Berserker
Scaled Nightmare for Gurubashi Berserker
The Lich King for Gurubashi Berserker
Try this (If you don't have 2 Shadow Visions, keep Happy Ghoul):
thank you verry much good sir!
I would try this:
I feel like more big cards would mess the tempo and the whole Aggro point of this deck.
Maybe you could also replace Cult Master for Elise the Trailblazer for some RNG fun :)
This deck is awesome! Thank you pal and I'll follow your decks from now on. Keep 'em coming!!
Thanks :)
I am never posting a deck without testing it or if it doesn't have over 50% WR for me. Maybe you could be more specific, what kind of decks are you having problem with. Also you have to play it so your board won't be destroyed. There is only one card that completely destroys the board (2 if you count lich kings spell) and it is specific to Warlock, so all you have to do is to play around AoE and control the board, you have more than enough resources to do that.
PS: I managed to have even more than 5 losses in row with my very best meta deck with over 60% WR after more than 800 games. It just happens now and then.
