This deck is so strong at almost every meta deck. It wins fast and it's consistent against a lot of decks. I would recommend trying it out.
Edit 1: Mulligans actualized.
Mulligans
Warrior - Mulligan against Pirate every time. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly and Soulfire.
Warlock - Mulligan against other Zoolocks, they're increasing in the game. Stay with 1-cost cards for winning the board in the early game. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Soulfire,Voidwalker, Malchezaar's Imp and Darkshire Councilman.
Shaman -Mulligan against Evolve. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Darkshire Councilman.
Rogue - Mulligan against Tempo. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Soulfire, Voidwalker.
Priest - Mulligan against Highlander. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Darkshire Councilman, Vicious Fledgling (and pray against Shadow Word Pain).
Paladin - Mulligan against Murloc. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Soulfire.
Mage - Mulligan against Tempo/Secret. Stay with 1-cost cards for winning the board in the early game. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Soulfire, Voidwalker, Malchezaar's Imp and Darkshire Councilman. If the oponnent is an Exodia Mage, speed up your game and try to finish him fast.
Hunter - Mulligan against Midrange. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Soulfire, Voidwalker and Darkshire Councilman.
Druid - Mulligan against Jade and try to kill him as fast as possible. Mulligan for Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, Flame Imp, Fire Fly, Soulfire, Voidwalker, Malchezaar's Imp and Darkshire Councilman.
why would you mulligan for Bloodsail Corsair if its not in the deck?
yes, else you would want to replace the whole demon package including the discards meaning almost the whole deck
Can I play tbis deck without blood reaver gul'dan and prince keleseth
this is a version for keleseth without 2 drops, if you play without him you want to go back to traditional discard zoo after karazhan with many two drops and not play this specialzed version. if you do that though, aoe will be very problematic for you, the you will need at least 2 sea giants and 2 defender of argus in your deck and it will probably still not be enough. traditional zoo is in the current meta not that good where a lot fo aoe is present (or spreading plague). you don't need guldan, he is another win condition and can win games, so your win percentage is higher with him, but often he doesnt decide the game.
so either get keleseth or play a different zoo version, and yes with guldan the deck feels a bit cluncky but is better with a bit higher win rate.
.
I think so as well I played this season more than 300 zoo games with many different version, in all good versions you had taunt because of aggro. some versions include now even more taunt and work well.
Got it to rank 5 with ease. I dont usually focus on ladder but this deck is so fun, this is the highest I've been in rank play.
Got to rank 11, but no further. Depends heavily on Prince Keleseth in early game. Also...seems like you draw Bloodreaver Gul'dan in early game A LOT, and then you pull Doomguard or Soulfire. Nothing worse that discarding your deathknight and it happens A LOT. I've had 6 cards in my hand and used one Soulfire and sure enough it tags the biggest card in my hand.
So it gets to the point where you're frozen with 3-4 cards in your hand because you can't play them for fear of losing Gul'dan. He is your win condition in most of your matchups.
guldan is a win condition, but not the only one, you can or even must win many games without him (against tempo rogue often I can not even play him). if you draw dreadlord first you can play him, and play doom guard after guldan, which will with revived malchezars imp give you new cards. soul fire isn't that big of a problem, since the probability to actually discard guldan with it isn't as high as for doom guard. it is one of the major problems with this deck though, drawing guldan first. but it is still better than not having him in the deck at all and against slower match ups you maybe want to think to even keep dreadlord if you go second (I haven't really tried that much yet against priest, but I am constantly thinking about it).
I got easily legend last season and rank 4 this season (haven't played much because I dislike the current meta). I still play the version without crystal weaver though. I dislike having no taunts in the deck at all, since you are not always the agressor. I use still chain gang but tar creeper is good as well.
If you are stuck at rank 11 it is either bad luck, or maybe you need to spend more time on the deck and your decision making.
Sorry but I don't understand, your mulligans are basically the same for all classes!?
With the majority of the hearthstone population playing this deck, it might not be a bad idea to play as a handlock.
Thanks for mulligen
Replace for Dk?
Jaraxxus or leeroy?
you can play a scalebane a tar creeper a chain gang pretty much anything else, which doesn't stay in your hand and will be discarded. so don't play jaraxxus, which will deny you card draw and therefore taunt as well.
leeroy you want to usually play as a finisher, so it is a possibilty but can be discarded by doom guard as well. in many keleseth decks people play argent commander instead, which is compared to doom guard still to expensive and will be discarded in here.
also if you remove guldan from the deck you may want to think about removing a few demons maybe from your deck, scalebane (or maybe even hydra?) can be possible candidates
there is no real replacement for guldan in this deck, since it will increase your win rate by quite a bit and is one of the reasons why you focus on demons in this list.
I really am thinking of trying this but adding Prince Valanar and thus replacing the two Saronite Chain Gang with two Silverware Golem or a Leeroy Jenkins and Lord Jaraxxus. Thoughts or ideas?
*edit* warlock DK in possible replacement to Jaraxxus
let me know how that plays out, dude. I have that card as well.
this version is performing well, but it would be cool to have 2 versions to confuse people on the ladder.
you'd also loose your spell breaker though, and this card has proven very useful against priests.. I was thinking of dropping something for a second maybe.
I have made the deck with 2 silverware, valanar and a leeroy jenkins. I have no idea how it will perform.
I removed the other prince, the 2 chain gang and the spell breaker to do this.. I have a feeling it will not be as viable unless actually tweaked properly. I'm not experienced enough to build a fresh deck around lifesteal/discard though.
Ironbeak Owl could work...
a single iron beak instead of leeroy?
I played valanar instead of chain gang, but in current meta where tempo rogue and other aggro is strongly present your rather want more taunt. 2xtar creeper 1x chain gang 1x defender of argus (maybe even one more).
silverware golem does not get the buff when discarded, but some people play them also at high legend, most list though don't run them, see my answer further above for lord jaraxxus (basically the worst you can do), leeroy is possible but not a good idea either, argent commander would be better in the keleseth deck but will be discarded by doom guard. basically you don't build up your board with leeroy only if he got keleseth buff he got a chance to survive and can't go through taunt, as a finisher that stays in your hand he will be discarded.
