Yeah very sad about the Void Imps. Lakkari sacrifice will need a buff to ever be good. Thanks for the explanation. I'm still trying to find decks that work well with Valanar.
I think Valanar works pretty well in Maylgos Rogue, but it's not a great deck at the moment, or at least, it's not that played. It uses stuff like Razorpetal Lasher, Razorpetal Volley, Sinister Strike, Counterfeit Coin, Burgly Bully, Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Bloodmage Thalnos, Edwin VanCleef, Malygos, Valeera the Hollow, and likely some stuff like Vilespine Slayer and Shadowstep (which combos with Auctioneer, Malygos, Lasher, and Edwin) alongside other removal and burn. I'd also recommend running Leeroy Jenkins and probably a Cold Blood or two, they're potentially great in a deck with Valeera and Shadowsteps.
Interesting. Why Elise Starseeker? The Happy Ghoul combo seems a bit weak. Prince Valanar when you have two 4mana minions? Why no Clutchmother Zavas?
Just some questions. Seems like a fun deck.
Elise is really crucial as a plan B, both to give you some more stuff to slap down onto the board, and stuff to discard should you be desperate to finish the quest. Happy Ghouls have just worked so far because they aren't a huge loss if they're discarded, but can be used to flood pretty easily. Valanar is extremely useful if his ability goes off, but he can still just be played as a 4-mana 4/4, though I'm not too sure about him tbh. And no Clutchmother because I wasn't sure if she'd be great with Cruel Dinomancers, but they aren't currently in this version, so I could see her fitting.
I mostly played a Standard version of this deck. This was really just thrown together to show a proof of concept of how having a card like Mal'Ganis could completely change something like the Void Imps, for instance, which are admittedly pretty weak, and act as another Bloodreaver/Jaraxxus type of card in terms of preserving yourself and making a definitive impact to the game.
