Opened Blood-Queen Lana'thel and were disappointed? Love to play Warlock but think the discard mechanic is a bit crap? Fear not - this slight variation of the perennial Zoolock build makes both the Queen and Clutchmother Zavas work tremendously well, without the need for the Warlock quest.
I was determined to make the Queen work in a deck as I didn't want to dust her and end up re-opening her later. Initially I thought this was possibly the worst legendary I had ever opened, however in this deck it has taken me on a long win streak and been essential to keeping the board alive and healing the damage from hero power draws.
Make no mistakes, this is a full-on aggro deck. As such, it is extremely powerful against Jade Druids and Quest Mages, and can stand its ground against aggro and midrange very well. Your ideal scenario is a turn 5/6 with a Doomguard, Clutchmother Zavas/Silverware Golem in hand, and you can play Blood-Queen Lana'thel as early as you like, as she can receive buffs while on the board, both from discards and cards like Defender of Argus.
Throw everything on the board that you don't want to have discarded as soon as you can, don't worry about card draw too much (Malchezaar's Imp can be very helpful if played turn 1, and smash the opponent. You should be looking at a win by turns 5/6.
Warlock is the class I play the least and am least comfortable with, but this deck is making it a breeze. Hope you all enjoy, please leave some feedback and questions if you use this deck!
Made an account just to ask: Why not the quest?
It simply loses too much tempo for me. I need presence on the board and aim to kill the game early. Playing it with the quest meant I lost the board and it never once saw play in a win. It's a very fast deck.
