> After the nerfs, I changed 1 innervate for Malfurion the pestilent. The other one for the time being I transitioned into a second Naturalize, but I need to search for potential better cards. Let me know in the comments if you have suggestions! <
Hi everyone, I'm Justice - A frequent deckbuilder that likes to explore underused cards or archetypes. For the past few days I have been finetuning Hadronox Druid, and with the current build I am doing great on ladder!
I would gladly create a full guide, but such takes time. If this deck goes unnoticed that's a waste of time, so please let me know preferably by commenting your thoughts, a +1 or a personal message in my inbox.
For now, I will quickly say something about the deck and its card choices to not leave you empty handed and wondering.
Intro
What I liked about Hadronox and what made me create this deck in the first place was its beast tag in Druid. Browsing my collection, I stumbled upon Menagerie Warden, and a sense of greed filled my body as I imagined duplicating a Hadronox on board.
When put in practise, this yet happened only once. However, this deck has a couple of good beasts that you can duplicate. More about this in card choices
Card choices
Innervate: Abuse it while we still can!
Naturalize: As a single copy, it's included to aid you in matches against Mages (Polymorph), Shamans (Devolve & Hex) or other situations in which you think your opponent can deal with Hadronox by transforming it. You cast it on your own Hadronox as soon as you play it, to instantly fill your board with strong taunts, and put it in the deathpool for N'zoth.
Shellshifter & Druid of the Claw: These taunts also return with Hadronox, and both combo with Menagerie Warden. If you get Fandral Staghelm on your Druid of the Claw, you get a 4/6 taunt with charge that also returns on your hadronox, allowing you to instantly impact the board or push for damage
Infested Tauren combo's both with N'zoth, the Corrupter and Hadronox, making it a very valuable asset to this deck.
Is there any replacement for NZOTH?
I've got a golden Wisp and a normal Snowflipper Penguin. The Wisp has the same statline but is no beast. I'm afraid of giving up to much synergy. Help me please. Is the Snowflipper Penguin worth it if he is not golden?
no. golden is the only acceptable one. Its actually the most valuable card in any collection. The fact you don't have one already should make you take some serious self examination.
I dusted N'zoth and Malfurion and now have 2 golden penguins. Thanks...
WOW! THANKS FOR THE TIP....
I play similar deck and i think you should run here 2 naturalize its always good to mill opponent or kill your hadronox, coz ppl can silence it happend to me a lot, safe play naturalize into hadronox kill.
The Naturalize is there almost exclusively to kill Hadronox on turn ten. Including two copies of it isn't good, because the card itself is.... terrible.
Now that the nerfs are live I do need to think about replacements for innervate though..
Does Hadronox actually resummon any of the choice Taunt minions, I wouldn't think it would?
It doesn't resummon Ancient of War, but it does resummon Shellshifter and Druid of the Claw in taunt form (or the Charge and Taunt form combined if you had it with Fandral).
Nice one!
This deck is pretty good i put malfurion in for an spreading plaque, it turns out pretty well
Hey, can you explain, why Ancient of War dont return on the board?
Ancient of War is a card I haven't tested in this deck, because it doesn't fit too well. It does return to the board though I guess, but as a 5/5.
If you play Ancient of War in Taunt form, it gains taunt and then a buff of +5 health. Hadronox brings back taunts with their base stats, not including buffs (even if those buffs are provided by the card itself)
Makes sense, thanks for clarifying. I know it brings back Druid of the Claw and Shellshifter, but that's probably because they transform into minions with Taunt as a natural feature.
Because it doesn't naturally have Taunt. "Choose One" effects are similar to Battlecries. If someone Dirty Rat's your Ancient of War, it doesn't come out with Taunt on it. Therefore, it isn't a "taunt" minion, since it doesnt inherently have Taunt.
Replacement for Fandral? Its the only card I'm missing at the moment, Ill craft him when I can but anything I can replace him with for now?
It's a pretty solid card for this deck, but perhaps try Stoneshell Scavenger or a second Nourish
(Or if you have the Druid DK... The druid DK)
Bug the matrix
I like it, but i'm not going 15-0 with it. I like hadronox in a c'thun druid deck.
The 15-0 probably was a bit lucky I guess, taken some losses later on. Hadronox in a C'thun deck sounds interesting!
Does it summon C'thun if you have Twilight Geomancer?
