This is the crazy deck I used to beat the Lich King with Mage.  I wasn't planning on a budget deck as I have many high-value cards; I was just trying to beat this guy!

This is a turn-the-tables on the Lich King, bringing his health to 1 at the start of the match, and then going face as much as possible to win. It has a lot of freeze in it to slow down his minions, or you can use Ice Lance in combination with another freeze spell or freeze minion to do an additional 4 damage to his face.

I made this deck after hours of trying other decks. I thought the mulligan would take time, and it does, but not as much time as the hours I spent trying to beat the Lich King! See my note below for how to make your mulligan as efficient as possible. Don't just restart with only three cards in your hand!

Mulligan:

Mulligan only for Kabal Lackey and Mana Bind. If you don't get them, restart. NOTE: On mulligan, if you get either Kabal Lackey or Mana Bind in your opening hand, wait until you draw your fourth card to see if it is the other card you need for your mulligan before restarting. Wait until you have four cards in your hand before you determine whether you need to restart. If you don't have both Kabal Lackey and Mana Bind, restart.

Strategy:

Play Kabal Lackey and Mana Bind on turn 1. When Lich King takes you to 1 health, he will give you a spell to do the same to him. However, it will not get rid of his 30 armor and you will need to run him down before turn 7 to do that.

On turn 2, play the spell that takes the LIch King to 1 health. Now you just need to get rid of his 30 armor before turn 7.

Freeze his minions or put out your taunts to prevent them from reaching your face. Attack his face as much as possible; you need to kill him before turn 7.  Your Molten Giants will help you even if he uses Obliterate on them, as he will take their face damage value.

On turn 6, don't bother killing or freezing any of his minions unless you need to get around a taunt.  When he equips Frostmourne on turn 7, all of his minions get wiped away to be replaced with Trapped Souls. If by the end of turn 6 you haven't killed him, you won't with this deck, which is designed for early damage. Go face whenever you can on turns 1-6 with spells and minions. Save your freezes for slowing down his minions since you are at one health; use your taunts and freezes to slow them and stop them from reaching your face before you kill him.

I might experiment more later with adding one Duplicate to add more Molten Giants to my hand, but I am so happy to finally have this boss done.

Hope this helps someone. :)
