Greetings amigos! I decided to experiment more with the Kazakus Raza versions of the priest since I'm not a fan of the so called "machine-gun" version of it and I like a controllish style approach to priest. I do believe the slower version of the highlander Priest is quite strong and that the dragon package is probably the strongest version of it! The dragons are doing great work in all match-ups and especially excel in the highlander mirror(where I lost only one game to N'zoth version of it) and jade druids. I tested the different builds and this final build worked really well for me. We often don't rely on playing the Shadowreaper Anduin since we gain big amount of value and tempo through dragons, which I really like about this deck.

**Mulligans and Game Plans**
**Jade Druid**: Dragons are awesome in bullying them. We also want to play the Geist though it's not always needed. Maintain the board get the pressure going. Get 5 or 1 mana potion of Kazakus most of the time, mostly to buff your board unless you are behind somehow. The games can even end before they can play the ultimate infestation. There's no need to play Shadowreaper Anduin as a pressure tool sometimes, so you can save it to finish his remaining jades after you used the Geist, in case a game goes longer. Keep: Northshire Cleric, sw: pain, Drakonid Operative, Raza, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, Curious Glimeroot, Wild Pyro.
**Aggro Druid**: Have all the answers of this world before you start developing more. We're able to dominate them most of the time before we start developing while they end up with an empty hand. Keep: Northshire Cleric, sw: pain, Potion of Madness, Doomsayer, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, sw: horror, Wild Pyro.
**Hunter**: Deal with their minions as much as possible. Potion of Madness wins you the game very often! Keep: Northshire Cleric, sw: pain, Potion of Madness, Doomsayer, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, sw: horror, Wild Pyro.
**Quest Mage**: Probably the only match-up where the faster raza priest is better but I think that one is struggling against them as well. Try to be fast and pressure their face, maybe discover an ice block. Luckily I haven't met many of them. Keep: Northshire Cleric, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, Wild Pyro, Curious Glimeroot, Raza, Drakonid Operative, Netherspite Historian, Shadowreaper Anduin.
**Control Mage**: Outvalue them and feel free to create pressure. The dragon package is a great bully vs them and finish them with Shadowreaper Anduin. Keep: Northshire Cleric, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, Wild Pyro, Curious Glimeroot, Raza, Drakonid Operative, Netherspite Historian.
**Murloc Paladin**: Dealing with murlocs is a priority. We will often remove their stuff until turn 5 and then start taking over. We are also able to recover with removals in case we fall back. Keep: Northshire Cleric, sw: pain, Potion of Madness, Doomsayer, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, sw: horror(also pint sized potion in case we have both in hand), Wild Pyro.
**Highlander Priest**: We have multiple win conditions. Try to contest them though your deck will outvalue them and start pressuring them earlier, especially because of the dragons. Feel free to use Shadowreaper Anduin earlier. Discover a potion of greater healing from the shadow visions in case the opponent plays his own shadowreaper, it will make our game much safer. Keep: Northshire Cleric, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, Wild Pyro, Curious Glimeroot, Raza, Drakonid Operative, Netherspite Historian, Potion of Madness.
**Rogue**: I haven't met rogues almost at all. Go for tempo and play the shadowreaper early or just save it for their giants. Dragons should work fine in this match-up. Keep: Northshire Cleric, Potion of Madness, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, Wild Pyro, Curious Glimeroot, Raza, Drakonid Operative, sw:death is optional if we want to play around an early big Edwin.
**Evolve Shaman**: You can be patient and play small minions to contest their tokens. use removals on priority targets - Flametongue, Mana tide and Primalfin Totem. Gather Aoe or just take over the board. Keep: Northshire Cleric, sw: pain, Potion of Madness, Doomsayer, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, sw: horror, Wild Pyro.
**Demon Warlock**: Go for tempo and try to finish them before they play the DK Guldan. Use their cards against them and find a balance between going all in and playing some aoe from them. Keep: Northshire Cleric, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, Wild Pyro, Curious Glimeroot, Drakonid Operative, Raza, Shadowreaper is an optional keep.
**Pirate Warrior**: A game where we fight to survive and still remove the board. Keep: Northshire Cleric, sw: pain, Potion of Madness, Doomsayer, pw: shield, Radiant Elemental, sw: horror(also pint sized potion in case we have both in hand), Wild Pyro, Gluttonous Ooze.
Thanks for reading, feel free to post your thoughts, questions and opinions. I'm really happy that dragons are viable in this form and wrote this with enthusiasm! -Titan
I love this deck! No, really :D Playing it for a week or so.
Awesome that you're having a good time with it, Nodense!
Deck's fun and halfway decent. Good enough for me.
Glad you're enjoying it, Actually_Sad!
Dragons are dead -_-
I'm sorry to say that, but the machine gun version with all the draws works just way better than this one, due to consistency. Which is sad because I like dragons and I really wanted this to work. :/
Im sorry to say to you, that not everyone enjoys playing Broken decks and some people prefer fair match ups, having fun with what they LIKE playing and dont care about deck's power level :)
I already knew that, being this kind of player myself as well, but thanks for the info. I just wanted to point out that this version is definitely not the strongest version of Razakus Pirest out there, as the OP claims it is.
Okay sorry, didnt read what op wrote.
No probs mate. Sometimes it can be beneficial to, tho :P
Change I've made :
- Wild Pyromancer : I prefer Thalnos, but this car is so great against Murloc ! Was a pain removing this one.
- Cabal Shadow Priest: Too situational, cost too much, too late, most of the time, must be comboted with the pint-size...
- Pint-Size Potion: Here almos only for combo, too situational.
- Shadow Word: Horror : In most case, doesn't work against murloc, because they fastly get 3+ health... have to be comboted with pint-size
- Curious Glimmerroot : I hate this card. 3/3 for 3 is not so great, AND you have too guess a card, ther is no adaptability, either you win a card, or you just put a 3/3 on the field... I assume 3/3 + you win a card is great, but IMO, 2/2 + you choose a card would even better. Kabal Courier
+ Bloodmage Thalnos : Great with spiritlash, dragonfire and Holy Nova. Drawing is great, I often feel a lack of draw.
+ Mass Dispel : This card is so great ! Kill Kodos, murlocs, taunt, ect ect... AND draw ! What else ?
+ Elise the Trailblazer : 5/5 for 5, not particulary awesome, but in the late game, you're happy with your un'goro pack (and word with Shadow Vision)
+ Tar Creeper : Great early IMO, this deck need more early.
+ Crystalline Oracle : weak early, but steal a card from your opponent. why not. And 1 cost card, great with DarthAnduin. But I think there is better replacement.
The dragon part is perfect I think.
N0pe, that would make me concede to 80% of the meta after being SMOrced down.
As much as I want to keep playing this deck, people are catching on to it at the higher ranks. I reached as high as rank 7 until people started playing around the deck. I dropped down all the way to Rank 9 now. This will work for the lower ranks, but beware that people will catch on to it. Sadly, I have to retire the deck after a 30-38 record.
Hi Titan! Fun deck, and watched some of your recorded streams which I enjoyed!
Having a bit of trouble with mulligan phase, often ending up with nothing to play for the first few turns, and then unable to catch up. Games where I come out of mulligan well, I do well. Thinking of adding in some cards to help with early board presence and a little help with card draw:
Faerie Dragon (to fit the theme)
Mistress of Mixtures (a good turn 1 play, or a little healing later on if needed)
Loot Hoarder or Acolyte of Pain (for a little extra card draw)
If I can fit these in that would be great, but I am at a loss as to which cards I can do without - they all look important! My first thought is Priest of the Feast is expendable, and maybe Greater Healing Potion. Any thoughts on my proposed inclusions and/or cards that can be replaced?
First of all, I think the deck is in optimal form and I don't want to change anything unless I decide to change one card on my stream, which sometimes happen. If you feel the need to change something, go for it, Zaphod42. I definitely don't think faerie dragon is good, other ones sound fine though!
What? No faerie dragon but she’s so cute!
I havn't Skulking Geist and Primordial Drake. What cards could replace it?
Against druid, it's a must because we can generate enough pressure but we're mostly here for the control plan. Skulking geist is a must against them and jades are everywhere. Primordial is great for the dragon kazakus deck, WhiteGhosts.
Feel free to experiment, neutrin!
great deck! 10-2 so far. Its really fun
