This is the fastest climb I´ve ever experienced. (R5 on 09-04) The rush made also HELL of fun!

There are mostly the same key cards you try to hold:

If you are facing a lot of pirates running classes, you consider to include Golakka Crawler

Card Explanation

Dirty Rat helps against aggro decks. It also can pull important cards from Priest, Druid or Exodia Mage. Combos with Siphon Soul or Twisting Nether are also great.

Ironbeak Owl works well with Defile and enables Prince Valanar instead of playing Spellbreaker

Unwilling Sacrifice: I recently had success using it since there are many targets like Voidwalker, Mistress of Mixtures, Bloodmage Thalnos,Ironbeak Owl or any low life damaged minion. You can make a value trade first and then activate the card.

Gluttonous Ooze loves to eat up Ashbringer, Arcanite Reaper or Atiesh. Tasty!

Prince Valanar is an essential life gaining source aswell offers flavour

Shadow Bolt is a solid single target removal. It also helps to set up a tirade with Defile.

Elise the Trailblazer high value card whitch gives the edge in control matchups. Since we can gain board control at most times she isn´t too slow

Skulking Geist is good against Druid and Priest. Don´t keep him in your starting hand, because (a) it could be aggro druid and (b) it is enough if you draw him later

Running two Twisting Nether´s keeps us safe and in control. By dropping it against Murloc Paladin, Evolve Shaman or Aggro Druid the game is nearly over immediatly.

The Lich King stops aggro and is a huge threat, if he isn´t answered right away

Medivh, the Guardian gives us lots of value in combination with Siphon Soul and Twisting Nether which outvalues other control decks easily. You sometimes have to Twisting Nether an empty board against Priest or Mage for not losing tempo.

Replacements

Depending on your matchups, you can use following cards as substitutions.

(the deck may become weaker)

Instead of Dirty Rat/ Doomsayer / Gluttonous Ooze:

-Bloodmage Thalnos / Tainted Zealot: Additional spell damage

-Golakka Crawler: Strong tech against pirate classes

-Mind Control Tech: Strong vs aggro; this tiny gnome alone can swing games in your favour

-Mindbreaker: A risky one. He may help against the Priest DK. (never tested him)

Instead of Prince Valanar / Elise the Trailblazer:

-Cairne Bloodhoof / Twilight Drake: Both are sticky minions.

Instead of The Lich King:

-Ysera: I prefer The Lich King, but she is still a good one. A budget choice would be Kabal Trafficker. Her generated demons get summoned by Bloodreaver Gul'dan

-Alexstrasza can be used offensively or defensively for huge swings.

 

-Deathwing: So you have three complete board clears, besides the utility Defile (consider with caution!)

Playstyle/ Summary

We are able to beat aggro decks due to a strong defensive early game, aswell control decks by using high value board swings and outlasting the opponent with Bloodreaver Gul'dan. For the most part this is a proactive deck, where you can just play cards most of the time. Otherwise you simply draw a card with the heropower like the general Warlock playstyle. This allows us to dig deep into the card pool and foremost have the right answer on our hand. When facing Priests we have to drop Bloodreaver Gul'dan asap and suck him out, same for Freeze/ Exodia Mages. During high pressure situations, you can drop a Mistress of Mixtures before using Twisting Nether to gain extra life.

After the release of the upcoming nerfs this deck will be even stronger.
