Hey Guys,
I always wanted to make Krul the Unshackled and Mal'Ganis work in a Deck since they are both such powerful and cool cards, especially if you get them on board together. And finally with KofT and Bloodreaver Gul'dan it seems to be the time for Reno Krullock! I made it from 5 to Legend with this Deck in the last Week. Give the Deck some love and ask as many Questions as you want!
If you like it, leave a like here, it helps very much and I will keep updating the Guide!
I also offer coaching for both Wild and Standard. Just send me a message and we will get those ranks rolling =)

Match-up Guides:
I will update this section as much as I can. If you have requests for specific match-ups, just post it in the comments.
Jade Druid (similar to most control match-ups):
I did not play vs many Jade Druids, but you always want to keep the board as clean as possible while putting out your early threats like Mountain Giant, Twilight Drake, Despicable Dreadlord. By turn 8-10 put out your Krul the Unshackled and Bloodreaver Gul'dan to finish them of. They just can't deal with all your big boards you can create out of nothing! Tap as much as you can, while staying at safe HP with Earthen Ring Farseer, Antique Healbot and Reno Jackson, in order to draw your removal and lategame.
Card Choices:
Most of the cards are pretty self explanatory, since they are just biS. However i will ad some Questions, that were ask in the comments:
Why Lord Jaraxxus AND Bloodreaver Gul'dan?
When I created the Deck I was sad, that Bloodreaver Gul'dan replaces Lord Jaraxxus since they are both lategame Cards that replace your Hero. So I just added him and looked if it was reasonable to play both. Surprisingly it was pretty good here are some reasons:
- getting Lord Jaraxxus out of Voidcaller in the early/midgame is pretty strong, since he trades a lot of other minions without dying
- getting Lord Jaraxxus out with Krul the Unshackled and/or Mal'Ganis is extremly strong! (Who doesn't want a 5/17 on the Board?!)
- If you are matched against a Control Deck Lord Jaraxxus still is pretty powerfull and as soon as you draw Bloodreaver Gul'dan you can go back to survive even longer with your HP, which leads to the next point
- reviving the 6/6 with Bloodreaver Guld'Dan is really powerfull especially with Mal'ganis on board. After an Krul the Unshackled and/or Lord Jaraxxus it's just to much value and pressure for most of the Decks
Why Doomguard?
The idea with Doomguard is not to play it from hand but to get it out with Voidcaller or Krul the Unshackled In a bind, you can play him from hand if you're desparate and need it on board to survive another turn, but in a deck with so many valuable cards, you only want to get him out with Krul the Unshackled or Voidcaller.
Deck Statistics:
I will keep updating my statistics of Season 42:
Here is an Video Showcasing the Deck by Kiwiinbacon:
What do you think about double Voidcaller in the deck ? It is one of the most broken cards in the game with this deck and surely you can draw at least one of it when you need Reno or Kruul.
Edit: Also with so many big demons and Voidcaller, why are you not using Argus?
What about swapping Imp Gang Boss with Brann Bronzebeard ?
insane deck for warlock, probably the better feeling instead of a zoo-keleseth style
Hey Ascaron,
What do you think about swapping out a couple of cards for a Meat Wagon + Summoning Portal combo (Particularly if you don't have all of the cards)? I've found it can really force your opponent into sticky situations, but I wanted you're opinion.
What do you or anyone here think about Gnomeferatu, golakka or Skulking Geist?
I feel they are really good in certain match ups, given the case which would you change for them?
Innervate would be great in this deck xD
Last season I did well with this deck, managed to climb to 6 with it. This time however I'm struggling to get past rank 11. I'm sitting with a 42% win chance atm. The deck is strong but the draws suck and with the aggro decks, I'm dead at turn 5.
secret killer ?
Kazaku, Reno and Krul are the whole reason to play highlander. You're much better off playing another deck if you don't have them.
The deck is good. I piloted it to rank 5 with a 69% (53-24) winrate. The best matchups has actually been Druid and Priest at 14-3 and 11-4 respectively. The strength of this deck versus the other control deck is the massive Krul board you can get online. Druid usually has no way of clearing it, and Lightbomb does very poor as well. I usually tap very aggressively in the 1-4 turns to fill my hand with demons and to find my answers. Not sure what the below commenters are doing wrong but I'm certain to take this deck to Legend this season, especially with the nerfs coming it will only strengthen the deck.
whats the best way to deal with naga decks that are ruining wild rn ? im gonna try -lich +bgh
update- after that change i didnt see any naga decks(go figure) but I did play two big priest decks and bgh worked out great. it's just we have a lot of removal already and i dont want to be to heavy on removal ? any thoughts?
Just played one of these, easy turn six win for secret mage.
Wow, I looked at this deck for a while and since I only needed Malganis, I crafted him. It sounded like fun being able to play these cool cards. I've been playing since just after launch and haven't had much problem getting up to my current 9 rank playing casually. So far, this deck has went 1-5. I guess the meta has shifted since this was originally played. Aggro is a pretty easy loss for this deck.
Imp Gang Boss is a card that helps your weaker matchups like tempo mage and pirate warrior. It punishes flamewaker + arcane missiles against mages and frothing berserker sacs against warrior. The only real punish is if they use something like defile or volcano against him because that will really ruin your gul'dan.
I keep getting wrecked by jade druid any tips?
Be really aggressive because they will out value you in the late game no question.
I am currently playing demon + n'zoth version, more fuel
how does that deck even work? what cards do you remove to obtain that many deathrattles and demons for both 10 drops to be playable?
This looks like a really fun deck, and I have most everything but Krul, Emperor Thaurissian, and Mountain Giant. What would be a good order to craft them in? I know that Thaurissian is probably the stronger of the two legendaries as his effect is more powerful and he can be used in more decks, but I'm not sure how central he is to this specific deck. I only have enough dust to craft one of them at the moment.
