Greetings people. This is my control pala deck for the new season. I've tested this during the last week and i got very nice results in current meta. The deck is including some nice tech cards that are really very effective atm.
Gluttonous Ooze is here to counter Frostmourne for sure. There are many decks using The Lich King atm and when they succesfully kills 2 or 3 of your good minions with the legendary sword, you'll have a big trouble. So ooze does a good job in current meta and there are many decks using other weapons as well.
Eater of Secrets is like a only way to kill those popular quest mages. If they survive 1 turn with Ice Block while they are done with their quest done, you'll most likely lose. This ugly pal solves your problem against them. There are also some hunters and paladins using secrets too for sure. So atm this card is another useful one for a control deck like this.
Spellbreaker is back in business after a very long time. There are many nice deathrattle cards atm and this is also a perfect counterer against Paladin's Spikeridged Steed plays.
Skulking Geist doesn't really need an explanation. Playing him in time against a Jade Druid or Evolve Shaman = 90% victory.
Alongside these useful tech cards winning plan is also easy. You just should control the board with your spells or minions and perform some nice deathrattle plays. So you can play N'zoth as a finisher during late game. But with some good Skelemancer combos, you may finish your opponent off way earlier. You can check some of my replays and i'll try to share some videos as well.
I'll update this deck constantly this season. Hope you like it, enjoy to play and get some nice results too. Good luck and have fun.
Mulligan & Matchup Guide;
Druid;
Considering we are facing a meta Jade Druid, we just have to keep our Skulking Geist or even remove anything to get him in our starting hand. Also if you start with The Coin keep it as well to play the geist on turn 5. As i mentioned above playing this card on time is like the only way to counter those god damn overpowered jade decks.
There are also some aggro druids around as well. So you may want to keep one of your Consecrations for them but geist is the most important one to keep.

Climbing Proofs;
I'll share a screenshot for each new level i climb playin this deck during this season.
Rank 17 after a victory against a Meta Jade Druid;
First off - @elvishak I really dig this deck, so thank you for posting it. I'll wholeheartedly recommend this deck to anyone looking to play a good Control Paladin, as I have found it to be quite good at climbing ladder, even at some at Rank 10 & higher where I found my previous Control Paladins fell off from. Unfortunately I often game from my phone so I don't have any statistics/replays to share currently but this deck does very well against a majority of the Meta decks on ladder, as it claims to. I thought I'll add my own experience with the deck here to perhaps tempt more people to give the deck a shot, as I believe it is quite strong.
My changes:
Reasoning -
Why this deck wins/is fun to play:
Initially I was wary of decks with cards such as Skelemancer and Cairne Bloodhoof, as the prevalence of Spellbreaker meant that in the past any times I got to play high value Deathrattle cards meant they got brutally punished. More so the case when they were buffed with cards such as Bonemare and Spikeridged Steed. It's important to understand that this will still happen. A lot of decks run a copy of Spellbreaker and games will still happen where you all-in Spikeridged Steed a Skelemancer, they Silence it and you lose. However, there is so much value in the many Deathrattles and Buffs that you can still win even if they Silence a big Deathrattle, and it is worth noting that even if silenced they aren't useless - N'Zoth, the Corruptor will bring them back anyway. (Edit: Can't get the link to embed for the life of me so here's the proof - https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/N'Zoth,_the_Corruptor#Notes )
Paladin has great ways to control the board however suffers when it doesn't have any minions to buff. Deathrattle cards, especially Skelemancer and Cairne Bloodhoof, mean you pretty much always have a target for Bonemare and Spikeridged Steed. These cards mean you have huge, sticky threats on board that your opponent has to deal with instead of going face. This means you can push to late-game where Tirion Fordring, Ragnaros, Lightlord and N'Zoth, the Corruptor will often win you the game with their value.
Skelemancer deserves its own mention for its own versatility that isn't presented on face-value. Yes, it does mean you have a weak turn 5 and alone it can't trade (Deathrattle unfortunately doesn't trigger on your turn). However, buff this guy and suddenly its a big threat. The pay-off is massive, often game-winning, as you can deal huge damage to your opponent's face and even if it gets killed, you get a 8/8. But Tranquil, it's useless without Taunt! It's hidden value lies in how your opponent won't want to use board clears. If you draw poorly/fall behind and can only set up a small board of 1/1s, maybe a Loot Hoarder or two, and Skelemancer, now your opponent has a difficult decision - Do I give him a 8/8 or run the risk of a bunch of 3/3s if he has Sunkeeper Tarim? This value is quite strong against Warlock and Mage, as cards such as Despicable Dreadlord and Blizzard respectively, now have a downside. The 8/8s themselves also often force out big removal cards like Siphon Soul leaving you free to play your other late-game without fear. It can also be a brutal punish to an enemy Doomsayer. :P See here. And here, but this is a much longer game.
Otherwise, the deck plays like your average Control Paladin. The tech cards will win you the specific match-ups, (provided you draw them of course), and overall you often have the sheer value to win most matches.
So yeah, that's my two cents. Honestly, I'd love to see this deck get attention so hopefully this wall of text can inspire a few people to give it a shot. Hope it was a worth-while read and that you enjoyed it!
TL;DR - An effective take on KoFT Control Paladin that seems viable on ladder.
