Stats speak for themselves. This deck took me from Rank 5 to rank 1 on the first day of the expansion. In total I have played 100 games with the deck, with only 1 card substitution along the way. It does very well against Druid and Priest and only has a losing record against warrior and rogue. I had an 11 game winning streak from Rank 2 - Mid Legend ranks. Mulligans updated below. I will do a more in depth strategy guide at 200 likes.
Mulligans
In all matchups, keep Prince Keleseth, Bloodsail Corsair, and Flame Imp if drawn. This deck wins 72% of the time when Keleseth is in the opening hand. The 2nd best card to keep is Bloodsail Corsair, 3rd is tie between Flame imp and Mortal Coil. Darkshire councilman can be kept in non-agro matchups.
Warrior - Always assume its pirate. Mulligan hard for Flame Imp, Blooodsail Corsair. Go for three 1-drops to match the warrior's agro and Tar Creeper.
Warlock - Keep Flame imp and Bloodsail, otherwise mulligan for Keleseth. Darkshire Councilman can be kept as well.
Shaman - Assume it is token/evolve. Mulligan for flame imp and mortal coil.
Rogue - Assume miracle. Mulligan for 1-drops.
Priest - Mulligan for Keleseth hard. Be careful not to play into Potion of Madness. After turn 5, favor tapping over playing 1-drops. Get Scalebane and Dreadlord onto the board when drawn.
Paladin - Assume it is murloc. Keep multiple 1-drops, control the board.
Mage - Keep 1-drops. Watch out for doomsayer combo turn 5+.
Hunter - Keep 1-drops and mortal coil. You need to win the board early.
Druid - If you suspect agro, keep 1-drops and tar creeper. If you suspect ramp, keep Councilman and 1-drops.
Substitutions
Possessed Villager can be subbed out for a 2nd Sea Giant, Bonemare, or Mortal Coil. The 2nd weakest card is Fire Fly which can be replaced with any of the above 3 cards. I have not tried The Black Knight, but he would improve odds in some matchups. Doomguard has not worked well for me, but may be a good addition if you can live with seemingly always discarding Gul'dan.

Is it possible to play this without patches? I have all the other cards.
Any agro or zoo deck will be significantly better with patches. Deck would be playable, but the tempo loss would be pretty huge.
From rank 10 to rank 3 in 1 day with 76% winrate (2 giants). Hope i can reach legend but still its already the best deck for ladering i have ever played.
Thanks, had a Warlock-Quest for 3 days now and for some reason my usual Bloodreaver deck just wouldn't win anything..
Now I got my missing 4 wins with 5 games, only lost against Jade Druid with him at 5 life...
saronite chain gang is waaaaay better than tar creeper. For 4 mana you get (via keleseth) 2 3/4 taunt minions.
this deck isnt 100% for keleseth, u wouldnt go to hard mullingan/draw keleseth in all match ups, tar creeper is just too good early for cut it, against pirate warrior and token/aggro decks the tar creeper is your win card
I feel this deck more solid against druid after the nerf. Dont' work against priest.
Just as a note, Bloodreaver is a fairly strange choice for a zoo lock; it makes this deck more of a midrange deck than a pure zoo lock, so is Despicable Dreadlord. You could substitute 2 Ravenous Pterrodaxxesand another possessed villager for the pirate package, as that would give this deck a bit more mid game punch, as it seems that this deck seems more leaning towards the mid game.
Is Gul'dan replaceable? If yes, what do you recommend?
Yes, but the best answer is to just play another deck.
I've made him, but aint it better to remove 1 cobalt and add 2nd bone or add a Doomguard? or Bane of doom? I played similar deck to this before 2 days, standard 2x sea, 2x bone, 2x cobalt, keleseth.. Ive got rank 3, thr the priests, druids, rogues. Atm these classes are cancer for warlock. ANd i managed to hit a rank 3. With similar deck to this, from rank 3 to rank 5, rogue raped me in turn 4. 9 hp left. Its not possible to play this deck imo, atleast not atm. too weak vs aggro decks, am i right?
P.S. sorry for my bad english.
played this deck today, 16-2 from rank 9 to 5, just played the gul'dan one time for 1 voidwalker and 1 dreadlord, i replaced him with 2nd bonemare
Nice, from 5 its harder to play lock, esp. vs Rogues.. No way to win. Maybe if u r NA player, there are many classes. But here.. on EUNE, only 3,4 max.
Replacement for Patches?
Stonetusk boar.
HAHA NO XD
You've gotta take out the bloodsail raiders too to replace patches. So put in couple other effiecient 1 drops or sarinite chain gang.
Love this deck.. My favorite archetype tho, been having fun with zoo since beta and im so glad its back even tho its a little bigger than usual it got that sweet tempo
I don't see how this beats Priest. Even when I get Keleseth in my hand and ultimately play Guldan, I can't withstand him taking 8-14 dmg/turn just from his hero power and then his DK card killing all my high dmg minions. I'm genuinely lost when it comes to dealing with Priest.
Don't work against priest, just surrender.
Pretty much the case.
Face is the place, unless it's that fatboy priest of the feast.
