The goal of this deck is to stay alive until turn 7 when The Lich King play his frostmourne.
When he plays Frostmourne, the goal is to play Enter the Coliseum and follow that up by playing Kel'Thuzad together with 2 of the 0 attack taunts Target Dummy and or Shieldbearer.
This combination stops the Lich King from being able to attack, you play you're Shade of Naxxramas and let it grow until you can one shot The Lich King with it.
Use adaption (windfury preferable) and Blessed Champion to buff the Shade of Naxxramas to get it to one shot level.
KEEP IN MIND:
The taunt minions The Lich King had before he plays Frosmourne will come back so make sure you can deal with them 2nd Enter the Coliseum, Equality + Consecration or the 2nd Shade of Naxxramas are often the way to go
I took me 2 tries to do it, hope this deck helps you out :)
Worked for me after multiple tries with other builds. Thanks!
thank you
nice one, got it second try, but swapped Target Dummy with Righteous Protector
Thanks man! This is pure genious for what's considered one of the most difficult challenges... Even though it's an exploit, every card here was very well thought. But you actually need only one taunt (the 0 mana is enough), but having the 4 makes drawing them easier though.
Any video?
lol you know this has been patched?? If you dont get kt and the 6 drop spell by 6 best just to concede
the use of an exploit to clear a challenge feels LIKE A CHEAT
Thank you man, did it at first try with this deck, and paladin was my last hero to defeat lich king with.
Nice man, worked very well!
This was a great deck and got me victory, but Scaled Nightmare is way better than Shade of Naxxramas, because you need far fewer turns (or lucky Adaptations) to win
I think the problem with Scaled Nightmare is that it doesn't have Stealth, so he can just kill it with that spell he has that destroys a minion and deals damage to himself in the amount of its Attack. He can't target Shade with that.
He never plays cards during phase 2. Just make sure you can punch right through to face on the turn you kill the last 2/6 and you're fine.
Ah, you're right. I think there might be some edge cases where you really need to play the Shade/Scaled Nightmare a bit earlier (although he always just plays Frostmourne on turn 7 so maybe it still doesn't matter.) I hadn't fully understood the win condition until I played it myself; I assumed you'd have to give him a turn before you could win,
I just beat this myself with this deck; had a couple REALLY frustrating games where I was just one piece short of the combo. One time I was just missing Enter the Coliseum which left me open to lethal; another time I had everything except I needed to play Kel'Thuzad, Target Dummy, and the Shieldbearer together on Turn 8, but obviously was one mana short, and the most frustrating one was where I had to play my taunts early and desperately dig for Kel'Thuzad, who ended up being the 27th card in the deck and literally was one turn late to keep the taunt up.
On the game I finally beat it, I took WAY too long after assembling the combo because he had two of the Chain Gang taunts and a Sludge Belcher, which freaked me out because even Equality/Consecration wouldn't completely clear the taunt. But I had somehow psyched myself out and had thought that I needed my second Enter the Coliseum because I was thinking for some strange reason that the Consecration would kill my own minions (confused it with Wild Pyromancer/Equality I guess.) So all I had to do was just Hammer of Wrath the last 2/1 dork, Equality/Consecration, kill the back end of the Belcher with Kel'Thuzad, then hit for 60+ with the windfuried Shade.
Very fun deck to play, especially compared to the Murloc version I tried before. Doomsayer is absolutely lovely in this matchup.
