UPDATE! HOLY MOLEY 150 UPVOTES! Wasn't expecting this for my first deck! I wanna say thanks to everyone who understands this is a budget deck and its made so newbie players can have a fun time climbing the ranks, and get to ranks without having to spend money! Thanks hearthpwn for the second deck mention! http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/3286-popular-hearthpwn-standard-and-wild-decks-of-the
This got me rank 20-10 in 1-2 days, the current meta at those ranks can't deal with a good hand or a taunted buffer that can make your deck go out of control, Stonehill Defender can get you all the broken pally legionaries, and he can get you lich king now as well as chain gang.
Possible Changes and modifications I ran for the longest time:
I recently added Crazed Alchemist to counter mage and priests doomsayer (other decks are running it too) and it can make scarab taunts into 5/1 which can be killed with a silverhand,
I used to run two Equality but it hurts your buffed minions and generally there aren't times you want to sacrifice tempo.
Possible Swaps, -1 Rallying Blade or Alchemist +1 Spikeridged Steed or +1 Acolyte of Pain (I stopped running double steed because it harms the deck, you want more buff targets and rallying blade is similar, acolyte can get you some good draws, a 4/6 acolyte makes your opponents pull their hair out)
-2 Hydrologist and +2 Equality or Spike (if up against too much control)
If you feel your board is being wiped alot, replace a hydroligist with a Skelemancer, this thing + buffs or spike or bonemare = cancer for your opponent
+10 upvotes and i'll write mulligan and strategy
UPDATE: 10 Updoots completed. Guide being written.
GUIDE:
Mulligan: Stick to low cost minions (1-3 cost), keep all buffs, get rid of spells or weapons (keep sword if you have divine shield targets or if youre up against warrior, mage, or priest) if you have a buff card in hand as you want the max buff targets!
Gameplay: Buff minions to gain attack and health, play them when you get the most effect, drop a argent protector for tempo if needed. Do not waste chillblade champion unless needed, always wait for a buff! Try to get a taunt down before you drop enforcer, that ensures you get the max amount of buffs, keep enforcer alive as long as possible, he can make your deck go wild!
Late Game: If your opponent has 20 hp, you have nothing in your hand, no tirion from the turtle, or no super buffed minions, just concede and go to the next game, don't waste time, otherwise, try to go for the best trades!
THANKS FOR THE MENTION HEARTHPWN! http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/3271-playing-hearthstone-on-a-budget-heres-our-top
I swapped in a Meanstreet Marshal Sword of Justice and Wickerflame Burnbristle seems to have helped win rate.
I got to thinking for LOLZ sake, It might be possible to make a OTK deck using all the buffs to Chillblade Champion throw in 2 Deathaxe Punisher and a blessed champion
Too situational, your only targets would be wickerflame and chillblade, not worth the add.
This is actually very good deck.
Switched out Rallying Blade for Sword of Justice and it's working out great so far! I don't have any Legendaries for the Pally, but this deck make it not really matter. I've pulled multiple Tirion Fordring and Sunkeeper Tarim using Stonehill Defender!
What about dk? he can play in this deck?
How do you defeat Jade Druid with this deck?
Rush them down, but make sure you dont have too many creatures as the scarab spam is your main counter, if you can buff your minions and manage tempo, you can win (for example dropping things without getting effects just for tempo and big bodies)
I added Cobalt Scalebane and Tirion and its working aMAZING
just tried this deck cus my new paly hero btw :D
i had to cut an aldor peacekeeper and 1 bonemare. so far 44 - 13
I made this deck only too show of my new paladin hero, Arthas! :D
It should work well, he's fine in almost every pal deck in my opinion
I just played against an arthas who i think is quing up just to show off, played 5 turns of him roping and then he conceded
This deck is fun but is tier 2. Nowhere near 70% win rate - Metastats reports 40%.
The deck has a slow start and is particularly helpless against evolve shaman, where only the Crazed Alchemist can help, there's no other way of getting rid of the totems. Mirror games are difficult as well as murloc paladins are faster, and control paladins can clear the board. And pirate warriors as well as all types of druids are tough as well, unsurprisingly. So basically, the deck is just ok VS mage, hunter and rogue.
Just a difficult deck, not sure how to improve it. Adding spells such as equality reduces the efficiency of the handbuff, but without board clear some games just can't be won. Maybe the key is to add low-mana cards to accelerate the deck, but I guess nothing beats murloc paladin if you want an explosive start.
Once again, its probably at 40% past rank 10, but before that, I managed to cruise to 10, and many people I know or see on this deck post seem to counter the pre rank 10 meta!
Really good deck got me to rank 8 in 2 days
