Intro

Hello! My name is Ivona; I go by theoddone23. I am a multiple Legend Hearthstone player. I started playing Hearthstone in September 2015, and I first hit Legend in September 2016. Since then I have been entering Legend rank consistently, finishing in the top 1000 and reaching top 100 or top 200 throughout the month. My highest reached rank so far is #97, and I did it with Mid-Range Shaman. Since then, I have been a regular Legend player.

I am also a Hearthstone streamer; I stream multiple times per week with my colleague Zeronnix. You can find our stream on this link: https://www.twitch.tv/hswithtandz if you want to learn more about us and see what decks we play. Also, I invite you to like our Facebook pagehttps://www.facebook.com/HSwithTandZwhere you can stay in touch with us and know all about when we will stream and what decks we will play.

Now, about this deck! The Highlander Priest is the very deck that represents value - the goal is to outvalue your opponent by having multiple cards and answers, while staying on high life total. I've been playing this deck in Legend and I have around 60% winrate (stats will be updated when we reach further into the season).

The deck is made by me, with a twist of dragons - this expansion has rewarded us with some really cool stuff that definitely still make dragons playable!

General Strategy vs Aggro

General strategy is to basically survive long enough to reach all the deck removals, and then outvalue your opponent and make him trade rather than going face. It does a fine job :)

General Strategy vs Control

You need to spend your resources very carefully - if you don't have to play certain cards, it is best not to. Chances are - you're gonna need them in the future turns! Discover valuable spells and minions, trade carefully and you should be fine!

General Mulligan

What to keep vs Aggro:

Northshire ClericPotion of MadnessPower Word: Shield if you have a minion, Doomsayer

In some cases: Radiant ElementalShadow Word: Pain and Shadow Visions, also Netherspite Historian if a dragon is present; Kazakus can be good for early removal spells. The other spells are usually not a keep unless you know what you are facing!

What to keep vs Control:

Northshire ClericPower Word: Shield if you have a minion

In some cases: Radiant ElementalShadow Visions, also Netherspite Historian if a dragon is present; Kazakus

Consider in a slow matchup! Raza the Chained and Shadowreaper Anduin

Card explanation!

I will explain why I added a few cards in the list and how to use them properly regardless of the matchup!

Dirty Rat - still a very viable card since a lot of combo decks are appearing to counter control. Use it if you have a way of dealing with minions since some cards have effects!

Stonehill Defender - such a great choice for anti-aggro. Pick the taunt according to the situation, sometimes even getting a 4-cost to stay on curve can be good. Aim for dragons, powerful taunts etc. in a slower matchup!

Greater Healing Potion - it is best to use it after going into the DK form since it is one of the only ways of healing, but it is also amazing versus aggro, where sometimes you can die by turn 4-5!

Elise the Trailblazer - anti-fatigue card for control matchups. It is best to play it and try to get the pack from Shadow Visions so you have two, but that is completely optional and depending on situation! :)

Bone Drake - an amazing new dragon that inspired me to make this deck. It gives a lot of value and has great stats for its size! Requires a lot of resources to deal with, I've been very happy with it so far!

Skulking Geist - A great tech card!! Counters Jade Idol, Earthen Scales, Doomerang, Shield Slam, Whirlwind, Play Dead, Tracking, Cold Blood, Mark of the Lotus... Very worth playing!

Shadowreaper Anduin - a core card in this deck. It counters big minions from the opponent so well, especially LK on turn 8! If you played Raza before it, your Hero Power is free so you can also play it after each planned card. Count your future damage well so you don't miss lethal because sometimes you will deal a LOT of damage :) A truly amazing card!!!

The Lich King - one of the deck's MVP cards. It gives amazing value and is so much fun to play. I recommend playing it in this deck because it gives additional tools that really help the deck!

Obsidian Statue - one of the best Priest cards in this deck. Other Priests can't deal with it, so try not to buff it to different attack somehow. It is also great anti-aggro card that heals for almost full health value!

That's it from me - for now at least! Please upvote  if you like the deck, and also make sure you visit our stream and say hi :) https://www.twitch.tv/hswithtandz
