Hey guys! This is my very first deck here on Hearthpwn, so I hope you enjoy what I have to offer.
This is a fun and practical deck that I'm finding to be very effective at rank 8 (currently on a streak). Basically, you're looking to buff Saronite Chain Gang or Doppelgangster and use them to handle your opponent's board until you drop Deathstalker Rexxar and build your army of OP Zombeasts.
Important Note: None of these buffs are beast-exclusive, meaning you'll always have a value play when playing one of these buffs. With that said, your small-mana hunter minions will generally be used by the time you draw/play your Saronite's or Doppelgangster and those buffs WILL hit them if you play towards doing so. You have 5 buffs and +2/+2 hitting either of these cards even once is absolute immense value.
Give it a go! I really believe you'll find success in ranking and have lots of fun creating zombeasts with this deck.
I'm excited to hear your results :)
Edit: Working on the write up now. Enjoy this great showcase from Kiwii, definitely shows how the power of the zombeasts eliminates the need for draw once you get Rexxar.
I think it's mostly for fun, not for results.
This deck has been good in my experience so far. I believe my record with it thus far is 6-1. Lots of comments that it isn't very consistent, but on the contrary, you are very advantaged much any time you can get a fat Dopplegangster, a fat Scavenging Hyena, or a Rexxar. A fat Saronite Chain Gang is also good times. Tracking also increases the consistency a bit. The old Face Hunter deck only had 2 monstrous Scavenging Hyenas, whereas this deck is jam-packed with monsters. Although the deck doesn't have the quickest early game, Saronite Chain Gang and Houndmaster help stop the bleeding against aggro. Rexxar's hero power in the late game is super extraordinary. Mulligan decisions are super weird because of the competing flavors of synergy, and will probably punish mistakes a lot.
upvotes doesn't mean a deck is good. it means people find it fun.
Rule of thumb is to wait at least a week after an expansion before crafting something. And no, this deck isn't that great for climbing, but it CAN be fun.
Got greedy and lost, but worth it!

I really like this deck. I've been trying to make a good control hunter but you went in a direction I never thought of. granted I only have played 3 games with this deck but I did make one change. if you don't get dopple gangster early on, he ends up just being a 5 mana 6/6. I swapped him out for a second grim smuggler for some more consistent 3 drops and more consistent buffs to my small fries and my chain gang.
side note: if you give dispatch kodo stealth, the battlecry will break the stealth effect. so if you combine it with giant wasp, you will kill whatever you hit because of poison but the opponent gets a chance to remove it.
terrible deck no draw for tempo.
10 games result
I lost 7 and won 3
the deck can't keep up with control decks and out classed and damage by aggro decks
I give this deck 2/5 rating
I got similar results. In all the games I felt like I was getting really close to winning, but somehow couldn't close out the games.
Build-A-Beast still super fun, I won't give up on Deathstalker Rexxar.
this deck is no bueÑo
this deck is terrible, no tempo and after playing at least 12-15 i matches i realized that its not consistent at all.
Pretty strong deck to play today a lot of druid on ladder D: !
deck is no good, too slow. Garbage.
I don't understand why bad decks like this get upvoted so much? It might be fun to play, but this just.. bad. There are better Rexxar decks. This deck gets destroyed by any deck that can stall the game, and most decks play many taunts right now.
Just curious, how many games did you play with it? It's not a face deck, taunts should not be much of an issue as you're not in a rush to defeat your opponent and should be able to last well into the game until you draw into rexxar, while keeping solid board position with your beasts and your own taunts.
nope, totally don't work for me.
wtf ending games before 6... I want to play my dk!!
Dont hae karazan
Replacements?
You won the game not using any of the buff synergies built into the deck...
