Tier prediction: Tier 1! (Or very high Tier 2)
WE DID IT! FRONT PAGE! Thanks for all the support and comments guys! I'll continue to update regularly and get the videos out ASAP.
My first few games in ranked (Up to rank 14, will continue to update. Still haven't had too much time.)
Warrior gaining some excellent control cards this expansion, and even with the lack of 1 and 6 drops I believe this list will hold up with the best. REMEMBER TO TECH FOR YOUR META! SUB/TECH SECTION BELOW!
Other people have made vids as well so check them out below especially if you're looking for more professional players.
As usual more up votes, more detail AND VIDS!
Up votes:
10: Full mulligan guide and my pilot video
25: Tech choices/substitutions vs. current meta (will update over the next couple weeks due to meta development)
50: 'Most' meta match up videos w/ detailed play style explanations (vids coming soon, multiple rolling out during the next couple weeks)
Mulligan Guide:
For now the mulligan will be the same for all classes until we have an established meta, then it will get updated.
Keep: Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe, Tar Creeper, Acolyte of Pain, Frothing Berserker, Ravaging Ghoul. If you have a good 3 drop feel free to mulligan the others unless it's specific synergy like Frothing Berserker and Ravaging Ghoul. Keep Forge of Souls if you don't have a Fiery War Axe.
General Subs/Tech:
Aggro Heavy Meta: -1x Bonemare +1x Tar Creeper
-1x Execute +1x Slam
-1xAlexstrasza +1x Armorsmith
Control Heavy Meta: -1x Acolyte of Pain +1x Elise the Trailblazer
Jade/Priest Heavy Match Ups: -1x Slam +1x Skulking Geist

Comments/questions welcomed and answered below
did you consider the option that you don't know how to play it?
I apologize; you're right. I didn't have Sleep with the Fishes so I traded them both for Rotface and Alexstrasza. I also traded one Slam for Execute and one Acolyte of Pain for Elise the Trailblazer. I'm 4-0 so far :)
Before I tried this deck (and saw the comments) I was pretty skeptical on how it could win. But now that I've played a few matches with the deck I can say for sure that this deck is awesome. I've only played about 6 or 7 matches, but I haven't lost yet. I did make 2 slight changes before I started using it. I swapped out Tar Creeper and a Slam and put in an extra Execute and Bonemare. Some of my matches I win before turn 7-ish just from getting Frothing Berserker buffed up from all the whirlwind effects lol. I even faced someone who has the great idea to use Onyxia when I already had Frothing Berserker in play lol
do you play at rank 22?
Cool deck thansk. :). Helps me alot to win agenst shaman :)
What do you think about including dead man's hand instead of 1 slam?
You need to include 2 copies of dead man's hand, or it will be useless
I disagree that you NEED two copies. The second copy of Dead Man's Hand is really more to guard against fatigue, where you play the first copy with the 2nd copy in hand. One copy could be beneficial to give you second copies of your one-ofs. It's just one of those cards that I don't think has found it's place (if it has one). Most meta decks are designed to win before fatigue, and I'm not sure this deck has the armor gain to take a game into fatigue (unlike the CW that had Justicar Trueheart and Shieldbearer when they were in rotation), and the deck that CAN go into Fatigue (Jade Druid) does it much better than this deck would.
As for Dead Man's Hand over Slam, I think Slam is clearly the better option. It's 2 damage, which activates Execute, Sleep with the Fishes, buffs Frothing Berserker, and can even be used on your own (undamaged) Acolyte of Pain for extra draw.
I think if you were going to play Dead Man's Hand in a deck like this, you'd want to play things like Blood Warriors as well. This deck usually doesn't want to flood the board, so you could get copies of 2-3 minions from a Whirlwind effect and then Dead Man's Hand extra copies into your deck. If one Lich King is good, 3 would be better. I'm just not sure how viable that style of deck would be, or if an interation of that deck has been found yet (though this list could be a good primer for that version of Warrior as well)
Shield Slam is better in true CW decks. Without Armor Up (after you play your Death Knight) and on-demand armor cards like Shield Block, Shield Slam loses its effectiveness. Yes, you still have Armorsmith and Alley Armorsmith to gain armor, but they aren't on demand.
I'm not sure this is a true CW deck. This is more of a Tempo deck with a few more control elements to it.
As for win cons, it's the same as any other Tempo/Control deck: play more threats than your opponent has removal for. Frothing Berserker, The Lich King, and whatever you buff with Bonemare are your big threats, with Grommash Hellscream as your finisher, while your weapons and other minions fight for board control and give you survivability until the late game when you can get those threats down.
Baron Geddon or Ysera were both classic Control Warrior staples. I would say either of those would be viable. That being said, The Lich King should be one of the first cards you craft from this set. He's viable in pretty much any non-aggro deck.
Guys is this a safe deck to craft at the moment? I have just enough essence to craft this deck but then I have to get rid of 4 of my legendaries including DK Jaina and DK Uther.
This deck, in some format, will likely be present in the meta, so I would craft with confidence. There may be some tech choices, or general shifts, but I would say 25/30 of the cards will be played in the "final" version. Just my thoughts. I was considering it too, and feel comfotable with it. I do think DK Jaina is worth holding on to if you can, and just do not craft Grommash right away. You can play Leeroy or some other finisher, but I would keep Jaina if I were you.
If you're going to dust legendaries, the only ones I would recommend dusting are the Wild ones (if you don't play Wild). As far as crafting the deck goes, if you're a "control" Warrior fan, I'd say this is a pretty safe primer. I think the finished product will probably have a few changes (I'm not sure this deck wants, let alone needs, 2x Brawl), and of course, there are always tech choices based on the meta.
I would NOT recommend dusting Uther or Jaina currently. I know a lot of people are toying around with "Exodia" Paladin, and Jaina may or may not find her niche. Hard to tell only 2 days into the new expansion.
Don't dust DK Jaina. She is really good although it doesn't look to flashy at first, but you heal with baron geddon like with reno same with the other strong elementals. DK Uther is fine to have, especially for adventures. Rotface is a really fun card but rng heavy and frustrating at times. Grommash was the first legendary I ever drew then came Ragnaros so I played a lot of control warrior since classic. I think Grom is one of the best finishers in the game and works great against a control meta. DK Garrosh is not too useful though. The weapon is strong and the heropower is fine but it is not mandatory in this deck. This deck can't beat a played DK Jaina or DK Gul'Dan but has more tempo and can beat them before (now I see I play quite a different version though). It is very versatile and you can vs heavy control matchups put together all your whirlwinds on Rotface and cruel taskmaster for Grom a round after to finish the game. Vs aggro you can wihrlwind the enemies constantly and taunt up. Maybe I should post my list too so you can see how this archetype can be altered.
I don't own that many legendaries since I used to be a F2P player this is the first expansion I ever pre-ordered. I dusted all my wild cards btw. But even though I don't have many other cards to combine with DK jaina and Uther I should still keep them? And one of my reasons to craft this deck over a paladin deck is that Paladin decks are really expensive..
Yes paladins are expensive. Elementals could be used for shaman too so they have a doubled value. Dusting is very little value, never dust if you intend to play this game longer.
Thoughts on what to sub out for Rotface? Feel like he could generate a lot of value here.
Currently 10-0 with his deck. There have been some close calls where I run out of cards, so consider subbing something for dead man's hand.
