DECK DESCRIPTION

Djinni of Zephyrs week concludes with a Priest deck using both the Djinni and Lyra the Sunshard to enable explosive combos.

DECK GOALS

Much of the deck resembles a combo Priest deck as it includes Divine Spirit & Inner Fire and therefore many games will end quick as you find the pieces. The basic Elemental sequence of Tar Creeper into Lightspawn puts your opponent under great pressure as Lightspawn has the Inner Fire effect built in and can quickly become a 10/10 or 20/20. One long-term goal the deck has will be building a huge Shade of Naxxramas just make sure to protect him vs classes that can AoE for 2.

THE MULLIGAN

The Coin plus Radiant Elemental into turn-2 Velen's Chosen gives you a 4/7 attacking on turn-2 and is one of the most broken openers in Wild. Most of the deck is low cost so it's not a bad idea to keep Lightspawn so you have a play on turn-4.

TECH CHOICES

Two copies of Shadow Word: Death are the removals of choice. While I like Entomb it has negative synergy with Djinni of Zephyrs and actually puts him back into your deck when cast. Holy Nova appears to be the best AoE fit in this deck because one of your goals is creating a huge Shade of Naxxramas.

THINGS TO NOTE

Remember to play your big Lyra the Sunshard turns as fast as possible. The rope comes quick even with perfect play. Djinni of Zephyrs combos with both Power Word: Shield and Potion of Madness in interesting ways. Shield nets two card draws and Potion actually gives him charge.
