[Legend #11] - Miracle Rogue Guide
"The pleasure is mine!"
Zananananan here (https://twitter.com/Zanananan, https://www.twitch.tv/zanananan). I just wanted to share this Jade Elemental Shaman with you. The Caverns Below nerf brought Miracle Rogue back to life.
I'm Florian 'Zananananan' Marschner, 18 years old and a German Hearthstone player for PENTA Sports. I've been playing Hearthstone for almost 2 years now, I started tryharding competitively in 2017.
I offer coachings for 20,00 €/hour. If you are interested, please leave me a message on Skype (flo.marschner@gmail.com) or Hearthpwn. (2nd hour 15 €, 3rd hour 10 €)

2. General Strategy
The combo deck using Gadgetzan Auctioneer to draw through the whole of your deck to your win condition. The amount of threats this deck offers is deadly indeed, Questing Adventurer, Edwin VanCleef and Arcane Giant. Tempo is key.
Sometimes it's even correct to drop a 2 2 Questing Adventurer on turn 3. You just win if they don't have an answer. Same goes for Gadgetzan Auctioneer, make them have it.
3. General Mulligan
Always keep Swashburglar, summoning Patches the Pirate on turn 1 is just insane. Keep Edwin VanCleef or Questing Adventurer if you have The Coin and/or Preparation. Razorpetal Lasher is also almost always a keep. You can consider keeping Eviscerate in tempo based matchups if you have Preparation.
Aggro:
- Backstab and SI:7 Agent are really important in this matchup. Preparation is also important.
- Keep Fan of Knives against Aggro if you have a good hand. You can consider keeping Bloodmage Thalnos with Preparation and Fan of Knives.
- I don't like keeping Hallunication, you want Swashburglar.
- I like keeping Counterfeit Coin, tempo is key
Control:
- You can consider keeping Gadgetzan Auctioneer if you have The Coin.
- Keep Sherazin, Corpse Flower and Mimic Pod.
- Don't keep Preparation alone
- Keeping Counterfeit Coin and Preparation is fine if you have Gadgetzan Auctioneer
4. Class Specific Mulligan + Tips
Jade Druid
heavily favored - You can keep greedy cards like Mimic Pod, Sherazin, Corpse Flower or Gadgetzan Auctioneer, you have a lot of time.
This matchup is pretty straight forward, they can't deal with Questing Adventurer, Edwin VanCleef and Arcane Giant. Keep Wrath, Swipe and Feral Rage in mind.
Aggro Druid
slightly unfavored - Backstab and SI:7 Agent is really good. I like keeping Counterfeit Coin and Preparation, it's about tempo
You can cut Mimic Pod and Arcane Giant for Shaku, the Collector, SI:7 Agent, Fire Fly or Razorpetal Lasher if you want to improve this matchup. You might even be slightly favored then.
Always try to clear the board to play around Mark of the Lotus and Power of the Wild. The only problematic card is Living Mana, try to find Bloodmage Thalnos + Fan of Knives.
coming soon
6. Questions
How does your Coaching work?
First of all I'll ask you a few questions, e.g. What was your highest rank so far? What are your goals? Then we'll start playing some games. I'll talk about the specific matchup and the gameplan. You'll suggest a play and then we'll talk about the reasoning behind it. We'll also talk about reading the opponent's hand and when you have to take risks.
Ask me a question in the comment section and I'll answer it here.
7. Possible Replacements
-2 Mimic Pod -2 Arcane Giant +1 Shaku, the Collector +1 SI:7 Agent +1 Fire Fly +1 Razorpetal Lasher
Against Aggro
Don't replace Bloodmage Thalnos with Kobold Geomancer. Shaku, the Collector, SI:7 Agent, Fire Fly or Razorpetal Lasher are fine
Kobold Geomancer is just bad
How can i replace Patches the Pirate and [card]Sherazin, Corpse Flower[/card]? nice deck!! :D
Someone still running this deck in the current meta?
ive got the biggest curse of them all! im a f2p'er. but i swear, after i craft what i need from KotFT i will finally craft that Edvin, patches and thalnos. And then, this will be the first deck ill try, +1.
I'll never get rogue decks. 2-8 at rank 18. Like every other deck out there is 100x easier to win with. Unless I have the perfect blend of cards, I get crushed by both aggro and control.
Miracle Rogue is one of the toughest decks to play but it is also one of most rewarding decks.
If you give it enough time your winrate will increase considerably.
But it is true that Rogue is in a weird state since Mage is dominant.
Can i replace something with Xaril, Poisoned Mind ???
1 Mimic Pod
Such a great deck! Works amazing against every class, both agro and control types. Lacking only Sherazin, Corpse Flower, but subbed it with Elise the Trailblazer (saved me a couple of times against quest warrior and n'zoth paladin). The best and the most fun deck for me atm. Thank you Zananananan!
how u win this deck? wasted 4k dust for crafting and 5 lose straight
you set up huge tempo turns where your opponent simply just cannot deal with your board. then work from that advantage and keep smaking face.
Miracle Rogue is the hardest deck to pilot, u just gotta learn it. I got legend with a similar list yesterday, so trust me it's a great deck
I just started playing this deck and catch myself making huge mistakes a turn or two too late. I think it's going to take practice.
I notice a lot of synergies for dropping a large Edwin VanCleef and Questing Adventurer in the early game or free Arcane Giants in the late game. All while keeping the board fairly clear using spells and Vilespine Slayer.
When my board gets cleared, I start work on building it up again while removing as many of the enemy minions as a can with the damage spells.
Also, try to keep Preparation and Mimic Pod for use with Gadgetzan Auctioneer, this can lead into some really crazy card draw and a cheap (or free) Arcane Giant early on.
Yup, I have been seeing the same. I have been winning around 50% in lower ranked matches but I KNOW it's because I need to just learn the deck.
Good thing is I catch myself saying "I should have done that" so it's a huge learning process. When it clicks -- it feels amazing though and exactly what you said is when it clicks. When you get out an 8/8 or 10/10 Edwin 2nd or 3rd round and it's lul or late game when the player thinks they got you and you drop 2 Arcane Giants and get your Cropse Flower back up after they spent all their clearning spells on getting rid of your Quest Adventurer and Edwin.
However, the mistakes can be plentiful. Such as huge temp turns where you drop an Edwin just to have him taken out because you did it too late and/or get terrible draws afterwards. Or when you drop an early tempo minion just to face when you should have cleared opposing minions that get buffed quickly and leave you with nothing.
If lets say you queue against garrosh. How can you tell that they're ctrl or aggro. It's wizardpoker but yknowhatimean. I always mulligan for aggro.
Is patches really that important in this deck? (im thinking of crafting him if it is)
Awesome Deck, was running the Eloise's Miracle but meh, i think yours is just in meta RN.
I don't own 2x Swashburglars, 2x Arcane Giants (Missing Adventures) so i replaced them with 2x Southsea Deckhand, 1x Shaku and 1x Xaril. Let's see how it goes.
So, I replaced Sherazin, Corpse Flower on Yogg-Saron, Hope's End Just means more fun.
I don't play much rogue, but when I play Sherazin, I find it very hard to keep it alive and I spend a lot of time thinking about reviving it.
Sherazin is the gift that keeps on giving. I have never lost a game where I was able to get 2 of them on the board. This happens more often that you might think.
