Hello everyone, I am back with another sweet deck! As you guys probably know, there will be a change to Rogue Quest which will most likely lead to a collapse of it. Not only Rogue is basically the worst matchup for this deck, but other decks that are great matchups will emerge thanks to this change. So while this deck is definitely good nowadays, it will probably become a real meta defining one after the aforementioned changes.

MULLIGAN GUIDE

Jade Claws always and Barnes are the cards you should keep against every deck. Against most decks Loot Hoarder and Bloodmage Thalnos are also cards you are looking for. Then we need to do the usual split between aggro opponents and control ones.

Against aggro you are looking for every board clear there is. Devolve, Maelstrom Portal, Lightning Storm and Volcano are cards with very high priority, and you should mulligan into them very aggressively.

Against control Jade Lightning is very good, and Aya Blackpaw is also strong enough to keep. Far Sight is fine as well if you are really sure your opponent won’t be attacking your life total too soon.

If you haven’t found a card that you are considering keeping, that means I would advise you to mulligan it. Even cards like Jinyu Waterspeaker which looks amazing against aggressive decks (and it is) should be mulliganed as you want it in your lategame and not really on turn 4.

GENERAL GAMEPLAN

Valuetown is the name of our game. Getting to lategame is your main goal, so during the first few turns you just chill with Jade Claws, Loot Hoarder and Maelstrom Portal + Hero Power, trying not to fall behind too much.

Deck has ton of 5-drops, so keep it in mind with overload, as it usually means you can't just play Jade Claws + another 2 drop on turn 4, as that would mean your turn 5 will be much weaker than you can afford.

At this point you are in the midgame, and you start to prepare a really sick "SWING TURN". That means something like a board clear + big minion, or just a big minion with Ancestral Spirit. If you are lucky, Far Sight could have prepared something really good, making one part of these “combos” cheaper, so you can develop it on turn 6, but if not then continue stalling until you can do something cool on turn 8 or such.

If you managed to get to real lategame with plenty of health, you should be on the best way to win the game. There are very few decks that have better lategame than you. Even though it looks like that the only real heavy hitter that this deck has is N'Zoth, the Corruptor, it’s not that uncommon that you shuffle a whopping FOUR 10/10 taunts to your deck thanks to all different White Eyes shenanigans. For example, with White Eyes in play you Ancestral Spirit on it, creating another one when the original dies. When the copy dies as well you bring them back with N´Zoth, and when they leave the Hearthstone world you will have your deck spammed with undercosted The Storm Guardian, which is a pretty sweet deal.

CARD SELECTION

Far Sight is really good in this deck, especially since we are not playing any Lightning Bolts meaning this card has no real miss. The idea behind this card is hitting one of your expensive minions, allowing you to deploy him much sooner with Ancestral Spirit or board clear backup, creating a very swingy turn.

Speaking of Ancestral Spirit, playing with this card is much harder than it looks like. While playing with it you really need to know if your opponent’s class can have an aswer or not.  Against Paladin or Priest you are good to go (Priest currently has no good silence card to play, and Entomb is no longer available), and you can just play a big minion + Ancestral Spirit on the same turn. However, against deck like Shaman, which can easily have Hex or Devolve to ruin your day, you really need to wait with Ancestral Spirit for a situation where you can play it and attack with your minion, letting him die in the proces. If you would ever dare to put Faceless Manipulator in the mix, you will be getting so much value it actually becomes hard to comprehend.

Ancestral Spirit + Deathrattle minion is also a nice combo, as not only you will be getting that deathrattle trigger twice (from dying original and copy), but it will also make N´Zoth bring both of them back.

Hallazeal the Ascended is a great combo with every board clear there is in this deck. It works very well with Lightning Storm, but also don´t be afraid to play it alongside your Volcano. Even though this usually kills him in the process, gaining 15 life is normally a nail in the coffin for those pesky aggro decks.

POSSIBLE CHANGES

You could definitely play this deck with some extra totems + Thing from Below in a place of Loot Hoarder and Far Sight, but this would mean you also need to cut N´Zoth, so that would actually be a different deck. Definitely worth considering if you are expecting aggro everywhere or don’t have this legendary super lord in your collection.

Same goes with Barnes, which I actually added just recently in a place of Earth Elemental. I really like this change, but you can switch these cards around if you need to without any hesitation.
