Hello everyone,
I quote Jambre's twitter :
Was down about hearthstone and didn't play a single game until 25th. Decided to try hard and finished #1 legend with my own deck the UK PALA
Here is my gameplay with the deck vs mage & pirate warrior : [FRENCH COMMENTS]
Is there any replacement for Sunkeeper Tarim
Disgusting aggro combo of two retarded decks - pirate and murloc, aggro retards in charge.
Good deck, loses to aggro druids without consecration usually
I've gone 11-8 with this deck around ranks 15-12. It's pretty consistent and really catches people by surprise that are expecting the standard murloc package. I'm not particularly fond of The Curator in this deck so I run Tirion Fordring instead.
Another change I am wondering about is replacing the Argent Squire with Bluegill Warrior for extra Finja, the Flying Star synergy? I've utilized the divine shield synergy with the squire but it rarely seems to make a big impact. I'm going to try it out.
Thanks for the deck!
18 to 5 with this. Ran Tirion instead of Curator and Divine Favor instead of a Steed.
Funny to read comments like "This deck sucks!!!" when Jambre got rank 1 legend with it :D
The deck is great, just got rank 5 playing exclusivly this deck. Love the Dread Corsair.
Not saying it sucks. I'm saying I obviously don't know how to play it. Others are certainly having success with it that I'm not having. The only minion I don't have it Patches so I subbed Tyrion for him instead. Is Patches THAT key?
I like Dread and the Rallying Blade isn't bad, but I found Argent Squire and Patches very underwhelming in testing. Drawing Patches in this deck is far worse than in Pirates or Token Druid. I usually just lost the games I opened with him. I dropped A.S. for Grimscale Chum and Patches for Tirion and it worked much better. Those I still believe standard builds are more consistent.
Seriously?
Patches thins your deck (which behaves as a cycle effect), whilst he also has immediate impact on the board state, and it is a great tempo for aggressive strategies. The deck would not run Dread Corsair if it wasn't for patches. You would be better off running more Murlocs, to improve the somewhat minimal Murloc synergies that exist, than putting Dread Corsair without Patches. Sure Dread Corsair has some neat tempo that synergizes well with the Paladin weapons, but there are better choices than him, if patches is not present.
> If you don't have Patches, keep running Tirion, but in the place of Dread Corsair, run Coldlight Seer. If you go by this change, you can also consider cutting Truesilver Champion, which has been done in many Murloc Paladin lists, since Rallying Blade is more efficient as it costs less, and that 1 point of attack is not as important. For the effect, healing your hero for two, is not as important for an aggressive archetype, whereas being able to buff your board (That one amazing Divine Shield adapt from Megasaur), is much more important and powerful.
Jambre finished rank 1 legend with this deck...
Given all the posts about the success people are having with this deck I gave it another try. Five loses in a row. I consider myself a fairly seasoned Hearthstone player and I cannot make this deck work. I fall behind every match and with no AOE removal can never catch back up.
I'll fully admit that maybe I'm doing it wrong but I don't see how people are winning consistantly with this deck. Anyone care to post a mini guide?
If you need a mini guide on Aggro Paladin, probably you are not a fairly seasoned player.
Here's the game plan. Win the board or keep it even until you buff something out of opponent's control.
You fight and your fight for control, you play sick value tricks like sunkeeper tarim to turn your late game garbage into something useful.
If you don't like this deck I would suggest anyfin dude-adin, or anyfin secret pally - those are more miderange/controlly with more sick value plays and maybe more intuitive.
I personally don't like going aggro-palladin
I actually really like this deck, I just play with Tirion instead of patches as I think it's just so much better, won't miss the 1 dmg from patches. xD only thing i'm not sure on right now is not having at least 1 consecration in the deck, but we'll see after I play some more.
I see you don't like the squire/rallying synergy. I totally understand taking out the squires, I'm going to remove the second squire. I've never used a kodo(only seen it used in paladin decks and this is really my first go at paladin). Is it really that valuable of a removal?
I think after the last few games I decided to put patches back in. It does thin the deck out and ironically both the last two games I used corsair on same turn as Tarim so patches would have been a 3/3 charge lol. My final changes as of now are -2 squires +1 Tirion +1 Alex
I know Alex seems weird in the deck, but it adds a nice body and last game actually took me out of burn range against a mage ;) He had to use some of his burn early to clear my board so he kinda ran out of steam and Alex brought me from 6 HP to 15 HP and allowed the grind win. The Alex may eventually become a Ysera or Primordial.
Get to 5 with minimal effort huh? :(
I must really suck lol. But like you said, so many variants here. I'm really enjoying the deck also, which has to count for something ;)
With the other 4 weapons in the deck Tirion doesn't seem to fit. I replaced him with Wickerflame and kept my Alexstrasza. Is there a dragon you think would be better suited in place of Alex? Only other one I can think of is Ysera but he's so slow.
like i said, if played correctly ;) but in my opinion having fun is more important than ranking up alot of the time, just gives you bragging rights of hitting rank 5 or higher and a bit better reward at the end of season is how I see it.
ye that's one problem i also noticed, if you have both rallying blades, both truesilver champions and then a tirion weapon it is pretty likely that some of the weapons could end up overlapping and lose some of their durability, hense why I did take out 1 rallying blade yesterday.
well if your really hooked up on playing some sort of dragon in this deck, if it was me and I had to choose I would pick a primordial drake as those are pretty common in paladin decks, but if you like alexstrasza and it's working for you, just keep that. :)
