Hello! And thanks for checking out my hunter deck! While I have made plenty of my own variants from a wide variety of different decks, this is the first one I've come around to post, and man am I surprised to see how popular it's gotten! I want to thank my friend ArielAtom for suggesting that I post it here, I'm happy to see others trying it out and giving me feedback/suggestions. I never thought it would get this popular and I would like to thank you all, I will try my best to reply to each comment as soon as I can and update the deck as frequently as necessary, thanks!

If you feel N'Zoth, the Corruptor is a bit too weak try swapping Dr. Boom with Chillmaw, It has synergy with The Curator and removes the boom bots, making his battlecry consist of less smaller minions. Sneed's Old Shredder also works well as a Dr. Boom replacement, the deck has Dr. Boom mainly because he's good at facing against aggressive decks but as I stated above, the main downside to using him is weaker synergy with N'Zoth, the Corruptor
While I have considered cards like Feign Death and Terrorscale Stalker as they can offer tons of value and tempo gain, I have found each to be too situational/slow in most match ups so I like to avoid the inconsistency they bring. However, if you really insist on running one or both of them, I recommend trying out SALTYBARBOSA's variant that he is working on. His deck will be similar and will include both cards. As of now it currently is not posted but will be soon, and I will add his link as soon as possible.
Ever since Mistress of Mixtures was released, I've been using that instead of Zombie Chow. Is there any reason to prefer Zombie Chow? (other than in shadow priest)
Because Zombie Chow has 1 more hp, it can in theory trade into more minions, I originally had mistress, but I find chow to be a much better early game card. That said, I still think Mistress of Mixtures is an awesome card and if you feel she works better for you then don't hesitate to use her instead
Thanks for your reply. Although I like crafting decks, I don't spend enough time playing them to know whether the things I theorized hold up in practice when the differences are small. Maybe I should give Zombie Chow another chance some time.
You play mistress because it heals your own character which chow doenst. You want that 4 extra hp against the aggro decks.
MrMuffinMan,
Thanks for the great deck! It's been a lot of fun to play and inspired me to create a slightly different version focused on Feign Death. Here is the list I came up with after using yours as a base. The changes are detailed in the guide. I hope you don't mind that I post it here, credit to you! I am curious to hear your thoughts.

I'll for sure have to try it out, I find the Jeweled Scarab to be a very interesting pick. and think the deathrattle synergy cards will work well with your version. I'm kinda skeptical on Unleash the Hounds as I think Explosive Trap would overall be better, but other then that I like the Changes you made.
Interesting. In what scenerios do you like Explosive Trap over UTH? I haven't had a great UTH yet. I ended up replacing Jeweled Mccaw with a Hungry Crab to help against mid ranged Paladin. Tol'vir can pull it to so it's a pretty high frequency draw.
The use of UTH is to fill your board up with 1-1s to deal with a bunch of tokens, I just feel that explosive trap does a much better job at dealing with small minions and isn't as situational as UTH, but the downside is that it can only be triggered on their turn when they attack your face, so they can play around it by trading into some of your minions or just not hitting face.
Small sample size incoming,
played 10 games this morning. L3-W4-L2-W1
Deck is a lot of fun. 2 of my losses we're basically if I draw Reno I win this game. I miss the mass AOE board clear of other control decks, thought about teching in a unleash the hounds, think it would help against aggro matchups some. Not sure what I'd cut.
Also learned that its very Triggering to have 4 1 drops in a deck and NEVER start the game with them xD out of 10 games I played a minion T1 maybe twice. Gotta love Reno decks. Thanks for the deck, I had a lot of fun messing around with it.
Hey! And thanks for the feedback! I agree... I know it's a pain not being able to draw any one drops in your opening hand. If you do try out unleash the hounds feel free to tell me how it works and which card you removed to add it. Regarding the AOE, I'm very excited for the new Hunter Hero card and think it will work very well in this type of deck. While it doesn't really fit the regular hunter play style, I believe it will be a cool addition as it will promote more late game oriented style decks as having a hero power that constantly generates value and promotes situational decision making is awesome and could turn the tides on match ups where you need to out value your opponent, which is currently a problem I'm facing with this deck as the N'Zoth isn't exactly set up for facing against Heavy Control decks, So having a hero power similar to Jaraxuses in the sense that it can generate powerful dudes every turn just seems awesome to me and I cant wait to see how it will turn out in the wild meta.
It depends on what I'm against, for example if I'm against a class that relies on small minions like token druid I like to shoot for fire blast as it can efficiently deal with low HP minions without sacrificing my health, or if I'm in a match up that clearly is going to be going into fatigue I like to take the armor to surpass 30 and try to out last my opponent, or if I'm against something like a freeze mage I like druids hero power because to counter ice block you have flare, but usually your board is going to be frozen. And against freeze mage I like to muster out as much HP as possible while still being able to consistently deal damage, so druids hero power can do both, giving you an extra HP while still being able to deal damage to their face after having your board frozen and having ice block removed from flare, while the hunter hero power is arguably just as good against freeze mage though I think the extra HP PLUS the damage works better for me, I could go on more about the best ones to use against different decks, but with experience you will learn which is best for the situation, which is why I generally like having sir finely in the deck as he offers lots of potential as a reward for selecting the best hero power in situational games, as sometimes the hunter "face" power isn't going to work well while playing a control archetype as your main goal Isn't to deal damage to the opponent, but to maintain control or last long enough until you can play the cards you need.
I'm curious for the reason kazakus isn't anywhere in the list
coz this is Hunter
I've tried Reno Hunter for a while before and after Ungoro was released but I never made it past rank 9, so I'll try your version. I really liked infest, Umbra, Stalker and Feign Death though, some crazy synergies that I might Ryan to work before the secrets and Mad Scientists.Update me on how it goes, and feel free to expirement by adding/removing some cards. If you do find a decent replacement or addition be sure to give somefeed back on how it works out :D
I am trying a similar deck, however the one I am trying uses Feign Death, Terrorscale Stalker, and Sneed's Old Shredder to try to capitalize on the deathrattle synergy a bit more. Is working out great for me so far.
I am personally not a fan of the number of secrets with only one Mad Scientist in the deck, I kept feeling like my hand was getting clogged with situational secrets.
Other than that I love this archetype, hope it is competitively viable someday :)
Same here! The archetype is very unique but strangely works, and I agree with the secerets. While they do work well with mad scientist it would be much better to have two! But other then that while it did take me a while to find the secerets that would compliment this deck the most, I'm still considering replacing some as they are situational and sometimes just sit in your hand. If you have any recommendations for replacements on the secrets feel free to provide me with some feed back :)
Also, I've been considering shredder, it's so much better then boom in slower matchups and compliments nzoth very nicely, if I start seeing less aggro and end up facing more control decks I'll probably replace boom with him
The version I went with has just 2 secrets, Bear Trap and Explosive Trap, it also runs both Piloted Shredder and Dr. Boom. I like Dr. Boom in my version because I also run Feign Death which is pretty insane with Boom Bots, and Terrorscale Stalker usually finds pretty good targets for me as well. I will be uploading my version tomorrow along with a video highlighting it, I'll be sure to credit you with some of my inspirations!
What did you pull out to fit those three? Mad Scientist, Cat Trick and ?
