[Legend #4] - Jade Elemental Shaman Guide
"The Elements will destroy you"

Zananananan here (https://twitter.com/Zananananhttps://www.twitch.tv/zanananan). I just wanted to share this Jade Elemental Shaman with you. StanCifka came up with this list, he cut the bad Elementals and plays good Shaman cards instead.

I offer coachings for 20,00 €/hour. If you are interested, please leave me a message on Skype (flo.marschner@gmail.com) or Hearthpwn. (2nd hour 15 €, 3rd hour 10 €)

1. Intro

Hey Hearthpwn,

I'm Florian 'Zananananan' Marschner, 18 years old and a German Hearthstone player for PENTA Sports. I've been playing Hearthstone for almost 2 years now, I started tryharding competitively in 2017. During my early days I was a huge fan of Zoo. I've been playing tons of Zoo and it's been doing very well for me. I'm the guy who built the first refined Discardlock when Karazhan came out. I played this Elemental Jade Shaman in the EU Spring Playoffs and in the Battle of Taverns tournament. It's is somehow similar to Zoo, you try to build a big board and to take value trades. Placement is also important.

2. General Strategy

Your want to get on board early. In the mid- to late game, you want try and find Bloodlust so that you can kill your opponent.

Double Mana Tide Totem tries to ensure a steady stream of minions. Flametongue Totem is another card that benefits very much from making a big board, since you can usually trade in your minions that are not so useful and get value. Stonehill Defender helps in slower Matchups, Thing from Below and Al'Akir the Windlord is what you want.

3. Placement

Placement is key, it can win or lose you the game. You always want to maximize the efficiency of Flametongue Totem.

  • You usually want big minions, minions with deathrattle or taunt on the side and small minions in the middle.

4. General Mulligan

If you don't have the coin and you don't have a 1 drop throw everything away, it's in most matchups key to have a turn 1 play

It's a good board clear

Allows value trades and forces your opponent to have an answer

You win if they can't deal with it

5. Class Specific Mulligan + Tips

Aggro Druid

favored -  You want your 1 drops, Jade Claws, Maelstrom Portal and Devolve. You can play 2x Devolve if you want to improve this matchup.

Always clear their stuff to play around Mark of the Lotus, Power of the Wild and Mark of Y'Shaarj.

Jade Druid

heavily favored - Mana Tide Totem is insane. Flametongue Totem is good as well.

It's pretty straight forward, a lot has to go wrong for you to lose. Cards to play around are Swipe and Primordial Drake. It's expensive for them to Wrath or Feral RageMana Tide Totem. You both used a card and you drew one.

Silence Priest

heavily favored - Devolve and Hex destroys them.

Those cards are good against buffed minions and Faceless Shamber. They usually don't run  AOE or Shadow Word: PainFlametongue Totem and Mana Tide Totem are good if you have board.

Make sure that they don't OTK you with Divine Spirit and Inner Fire later on. Clear his Ancient Watcher or Humongous Razorleaf even if they didn't silence it or play a Taunt.

Quest Rogue

slightly unfavored - You have to keep Bloodlust, it's the only way you win. Flametongue Totem and Mana Tide Totem are also fine, they don't have a good way to deal with it.

You have to kill them fast and you have to hope that they don't finish the Quest to early.

Miracle Rogue

slightly favored - I like keeping Devolve or Hex if they have The Coin.

Deals with Edwin VanCleef and Questing Adventurer. They don't have a good board clear except Bloodmage Thalnos + Fan of Knives.

Günther Mage

slightly unfavored - Keep Mana Tide Totem

You should keep Volcanic Potion, Flamestrike, Frostbolt and Medivh's Valet in mind. Sometimes you can't even play around it. Save Kalimos, Primal Lord for heal, they'll try to burn you at some point.

Freeze Mage

even - Keep Mana Tide Totem

This matchups is a bit easier, they have less burn and no Volcanic Potion. The Freeze Mage can only go for the burn gameplan, you lose if you never draw Kalimos, Primal Lord.

Secret Mage

slightly favored -  Early game is very important.

They don't have an AOE and Mirror Entity is pretty much useless.

Murloc Paladin

favored - 1 drops and Jade Claws are key. Devolve is also really good. I like keeping Jade Lightning if you have The Coin and a good hand, it deals with Murloc Warleader.

Always try to clear his Murlocs, you don't want them to get a huge swing turn with Murloc Warleader or Gentle Megasaur. Save Hex or Devolve for Spikeridged Steed and Tirion Fordring.

Truesilver Champion, Rallying Blade and Consecration are cards to play around. Against the Midrange version: They have Primordial Drake in hand if they played The Curator. Make sure to not overextend into EqualityConsecration.

Control Paladin

evenMana Tide Totem is a keep.

Play around EqualityConsecration or Wild Pyromancer. Save Hex and Devolve for Tirion Fordring and Cairne Bloodhoof if they are playing the N'Zoth, the Corrupter version.

Pirate Warrior

favored - Bloodsail Corsair is insane. Maelstrom Portal, Jade Claws and Devolve are good. Jade Lightning is good if you have a good hand, it deals with Frothing Berserker and Bloodsail Cultist.

It's pretty straight forward, try to deal with their board and survive. Hot Spring Guardian heals technically for 7.

Taunt Warrior

unfavoredMana Tide Totem is important.

Devolve or Hex on an Acolyte of Pain is very good, you want to deny card draw. Brawl, Ravaging Ghoul + Sleep with the Fishes and Primordial Drake are annoying.

Evolve Shaman

slightly favored - Jade Claws and Bloodsail Corsair are key. Devolve and Maelstrom Portal are also fine.

Always try to clear his minions to play around Evolve and Bloodlust. Your deck has more late game, you should win in the long run. The AOE from Kalimos, Primal Lord is really powerful.

Jade Shaman

heavily unfavored - Mana Tide Totem is good.

You don't want to play this matchup. Volcano destroys you, a few lists are even running Lightning Storm.

Midrange Hunter

favored - Fire Fly, Bloodsail Corsair, Jade Claws, Devolve and Maelstrom Portal.

Try to not give them beast synergy with Crackling Razormaw and Houndmaster. Save 1 Hex for Savannah Highmane.

Warlock doesn't exist.

6. Questions

How does the Coaching work?

First of all I'll ask you a few questions, e.g. What was your highest rank so far? What are your goals? Then we'll start playing some games. I'll talk about the specific matchup and the gameplan. You'll suggest a play and then we'll talk about the reasoning behind it. We'll also talk about reading the opponent's hand and when you have to take risks.

Ask me a question in the comment section and I'll answer it here.
