STRATEGY
You are going to discard Chromaggus's affliction cards as fast as possible using warlock's discard-minions while striking its face using growing power from Darkshire Councilman, Questing Adventurer, and Daring Reporter.
MULLIGAN
Keep these cards:
- Malchezaar's Imp
- Cards with "discard" such as: Soulfire, Darkshire Librarian, Lakkari Felhound
- Violet Illusionist
TIP
- Violet Illusionist is your real mvp. She will keep you immune against -3 health afflictions and your own hero power.
REPLACEMENTS
- Tiny Knight of Evil is a very good card. He can replace Daring Reporter.
REPLAYS
So you only win if you discard his affliction cards every time lol. Wtf.
GREAT DECK TY!!
Used quest and portal to help slowly wither down chromaggus and leathal. 3rd try. Start with portal then dark shire or succubus and just control board. Rng yes but still good.

Hope this helps as it did for me.
This feels impossible to me. I'm allergic to discarding the afflictions or something. If you don't play or discard the one that cheapens his spells, he will always win, and so you either yolo a Felhound or just take the 3 mana tempo loss, which also loses the game.
EDIT: Got it. For me the secret sauce was 0 mana minions. 2x Wisp, 2x Penguin, 2x Target Dummy, 2x Tinyfin. Since you can play them for free, you can empty your hand immediately and Doomguard/Lakkari will always discard two Afflictions.
I have never tried 0-mana minions before but it sounds genius. You will lose overall deck value but will gain massive tempo plus being more active in discarding.
Thanks for the idea! Here's the version that finally worked for me:

Im currently on attempt 25, not even close
It took me a while and i had to modify the deck a little, but it worked. I used tiny knight over reporter like you suggested and took out demonfire because the 2/3's that spells buff make it too hard to play. I replaced them with howlfiend for even more discard. I also replaced villager with flame imp since a 3/2 can immediately remove the minions he plays on turn 1.
Thanks a lot for the deck! I found daring reporter was a dead card for me and I replaced it with Dragonslayer and I won! (link) Thanks again!
Dragonslayer is a great choice!
Perfect substitute, thank you so much!
Definitely needs some love from RNGesus for it to go the right way.. but more effective than the several decks I tried myself, and got from the site. Glad this bugger's finally dead for me.
not sure about this deck. you are basically revolving around RNG to win a fight that is heavily rng. i will try wiht the warlock quest.
took me about 10 attempts. What i found worked was to totallly ignore the brood affliction cards until after turn 3. the cards always show up in the same order (at first at least) green, red, blue , bronze though later on they appear to be random. so you totally ignore them and focus on getting a board presence. the boss basically just heals himself and deals 3 damage to you regardless of what you do until about turn 5. you can't play the brood cards because this buffs his dragon minion. do not focus on trying to discard these cards until after you get your minions on the fiedl. you will take a lot of damage and probably be down to 14 health but once you have a board presence this is manageable. i did experiment with adding dark pact into the mix to trigger mistress of mixtures. However this really proved unnecessary as i was able to beat the boss wiht this deck the way it is (except exchanging daring reporter with 2 howlfiends, though admittedly i never even played thehowl fiends on teh attempt i got a victory) THank you so much :) great job :)
Thanks for the idea - discardlock works so well with this encounter. I made the change of -2 Demonfire and put in 2 Howlfiend to have more control over my discards and it worked like a charm!
The hardest boss out there for Blackrock mountain. The concept of this deck is very clear but the nature of the encounter and the RNG makes everything frustrating. If you keep failing, try again. I was lucky with the discards and that he didn't have flamestrike by turn 7. I managed to buff my questing adventurer to 19/12 and win the game. Definetely more reliable than the mage / druid / priest decks out there and also updated compared to some of them
Everyone defeats Chromaggus using this deck in their first few goes but I've been on this or hours. Would anyone be willing to help m out with this on Heroic?
Questing Adventurer MVP
Could not get this to work whatsoever, he always swiped my cards, or i got too unlucky with the RNG discard.
