So... why is this deck being recommended 5 years after? I doubt it still holds it's power much time after. 

is this deck good also for ranked?

what's the better replacement for [card]Sneed's Old Shredder[/card]? Cairne Bloodhoof or Sylvanas Windrunner?

I guess Cairne Bloodhoof should be a better replacement since it has a similar effect: getting value by playing a relatively big minion that spawns another (usually, in the case of Sneed's) big minion and use Ancestral Spirit on it, bringing him back later on with N'Zoth.

This deck is not as simple as pirate warrior. If you are not skilled enough or haven't played it a bit before entering the arena you shouldn't be complaining like that. The fact a good player with some luck reaches 12-0 doesn't mean you'll do well even if you use the same deck.

Started to testing this deck yesterday on ladder, got 14-1, then downstreaked to 19-9 by getting some really bad draws, like playing against Egg Druid and didn't see any of my board sweepers (2 Maelstrom Portal, 2 Lightning Storm, 2 Volcano) in 13 cards. Also, no Devolve have been found.

Today I've played three Tavern Brawls. First one was 3-0 at the beginning, but then I got 4 Freeze Mage in row, finishing with 4-3. One win against Freeze Mage was only because his bad draws, no combo pieces.

Second run was 6-3, again lost all matches to Freeze Mages - first match against it and two last.

Third run was 4-3, lost one match to Hunter, got board control too late, because of long dig up for board sweepers, never saw Healing Wave in 18 cards.

Still think this deck is great, maybe need a few changes, I really don't like Ancestral Knowledge too much, but you need to draw somehow. And maybe need to put in Sylvanas Windrunner and/or Cairne Bloodhoof.

Really tried to improve my gameplay yesterday, so I would done much less mistakes in Tavern Brawl, also trying to understand different matchups, but in the end it was all about pairings - got Freeze Mage and you're dead by 30+ damage in one turn, because you're too slow. Also some loses, becauses you draw just not right part of the deck in different matchups - no/low amount of board sweepers and Healing Waves against aggro matchups and little amount of creatures agains control matchups, getting all the spells.

question one, why do you even bother playing this tavern brawl? Its not worth it, unless you are 100% sure you get at least 10 wins. You can better buy arena 5 times then this brawl one time. You get on average more when you play 5 arenas then play one heroic tavern brawl

This Deck is very very very good on the ladder! But with soo much control on the wild ladder (Especially Quest Priest). If flawless played, you can win every time in the fatigue war.

Well that's the point why it isn't that optimal for climbing the ladder. It takes you ages to get to rank 5 with it. And if you loose a 20+ Game after a missplay, you feel very very mad!

why not hallazeal to this deck?   the only common deck that beats this a lot is freeze mage.

I dont know man.  The thing is they have to save everything to otk you.  If you save both healing waves for after Alex is played and hex/devolve the doomsayers you cant lose.  They cant afford to save all their burn because the deck puts too much pressure on them.  Im going on my second 12 win series with this deck, Ill probably keep playing this deck until the brawl is over.  Too good to not take advantage of all the juicy rewards.

what is your game plan against freeze mage? How do you beat this deck?

For freeze mage I mulligan for devolve/hex for doomsayers and if I draw a healing wave I keep that too.  You just have to bait their burn with your big minions and save your healing waves for after Alex.  That's my strat.  I didnt get 12 wins the second time only 10.  Bad draws make it hard.  As long as you draw both healing waves you should be able to win though.  I went 12-2 and lost to one freeze mage.  10-3 I lost to 2 out of 7.  Not really bad.  No healing wave = no win.

Man I hate this brawl so much - Was really unlucky and went 1/3 with this deck - feels bad. 

I cant thank you enough for this. I was almost going to spend all my dust on this deck to try the brawl.
