Mulligan Guide: Maloriak is another frustrating heroic encounter. You are constantly at a disadvantage due to his passive special power The Alchemist. You'll want to have something you can cast early, like Voidwalker, Darkbomb, or Stubborn Gastropod, to help with the inevitable Aberration rush.
The Poisonous minions in this deck are the best way to deal with Sludge Belchers and Drakonid Crushers. If you can manage to steal a Duplicate from him it can definitely save your bacon if you've got a Stubborn Gastropod on the board.
If he casts Release the Aberrations! at the start it can be extremely difficult to catch up. I've had him cast both of those spells back to back, and there's nothing you can do except restart in those instances. Another card that will totally wreck you is Imp-losion, because he can gain such an advantage in minions. It's best to hang on to a Hellfire for this scenario.
Your Mistress of Pain is a great way to start gaining life back, as long as he doesn't immediately kill her. You've also got Blastcrystal Potion just in case he puts out something that you can't deal with. However, make no mistake, this is not an easy fight.
I tried to keep this deck pretty cheap already, but if you have to sub anything out you may want to consider minions with at least 3 toughness so they can be useful once they flip or you could consider adding more Silence minions with either Ironbeak Owl or Spellbreaker.

Swapped MC Tech with Devilsaur Egg, worked great.
1st try win with this deck, no changes needed
Definitely glad I crafted 2 Mistress of Pains. Also got lucky that he didn't draw the Aberrations early on. For anyone else who uses this deck, Bloodreaver Gul'dan is a god-like addition. A lot of his minions will have 3 health that you can kill with your Hero Power while gaining much needed health. The deck also contains quite a few demons so there is really no questioning how amazing he is. Never keep him in your opening hand and hope you draw him to play on turn 10. Also, I don't have Kezan Mystic or a second Cobra, so I substituted in a second Eater of Secrets and MC Tech in addition to the DK.
P.S. Neonangel, your amazing. Thanks for putting to much time and effort into these guides. They've helped me through Nax and now Blackrock. I don't think I could have done them without your help.
It took many tries, probably 10, but eventually the moons were aligned and my draw was correct. Seriously though, good deck, thank you. I didn't have Mistress of Pain and wasn't about to craft it just for this fight, so I swapped it for a Darkshire Councilman and a Devilsaur Egg. I know these don't really replace the necessity of lifesteal, but all I could do was try to fill around the mana slot with something offering utility. I'm sure these subs made it even harder that it normally is, but it worked. Thanks so much again.
