Heroic Noth the Plaguebringer's Priest

Hi this is MrPLJ here and welcome all to my first Plague Wing Heroic guide for Noth the Plague Bringer. I tried to improve my previous heroic Arachnid Wing decks by only including common and rare cards to make them more obtainable for casual players.

To defeat Noth, we need to play around his hero power and his Plague card. His hero power summons a 5/5 Skeleton every time one of your minion dies, plus Plague destroy all the minions on the field apart from Skeletons. So this will be a difficult match up, but nowhere near impossible using the Priest's healing powers and high health minions.

The Strategy

  1. For mulligan, you should go for Shadow Word: Death and other low drop minions (1-4 drop is fine). You want to play control style, slowly but surely whilst making sure that the few minions you play stay alive. Be sure not to play a Lightwell without an Inner Fire, Noth has one Crazed Alchemist who just loves to come in on a 0/# minions.
  2. The first 6 turns should be played relatively slowly and carefully, trying to control the board but leaving 1 or 2 low attack enemy minions on his side of the field to prevent him from playing Plague. This is why you should also limit the amount of minions you have on your field, 2-3 maximum otherwise if he decided to use Plague, you will be overrun by 5/5 Skeletons.
  3. Once he uses Plague, just use your Shadow Word: Deaths and Holy Fires to get rid of the Skeletons and start regaining the board.
  4. I like to use the Injured Blademaster as a finisher. Using a Northshire Cleric to draw, you can quite comfortably rack up a big hand, then use Divine Spirit and Inner Fire to make a 14 damage dent to Noth's life total.

WARNING: This match is quite hard, and may require a couple of play throughs as you get more and more accustomed Noth's deck. The most important is trying to play around Plague, and it should be an easy win.

Good Luck!
