Heroic Loatheb's Priest

Welcome everyone, MrPLJ here today with a little Heroic Loatheb guide. I tried to improve my previous heroic Arachnid Wing decks by only including common and rare cards to make them more obtainable for casual players.

The strategy here is straight forward but hard to implement as Loatheb will do his best to rush you down and you will take at least 3 damage per turn. Plus, he starts off with a Fen Creeper and a Spore so be prepared to take 6 damage to the face on turn 1!

The Strategy

  1. The first thing you want to do is get rid of that Fen Creeper as quickly as possible, and to do this you need to mulligan hard for a resilient 1 drop (Argent Squire being the best) and an Elven Archer. Turn 1, drop the Argent Squire and turn 2, play the Elven Archer targeting the Spore. This will boost the attack of your minions who will now be able to take care of the Fen Creeper.
  2. Now, your job is to survive whilst healing your minions and yourself. Board control is paramount as to not take more than 3 damage per turn, and that is where Mogu'shan Warden comes in.
  3. By turn 3-4, you should have sufficient board control to start racking up cards. This is important as you will get Poison Seeded and you will have to retake that advantage.
  4. Hopefully by turn 6, you will have racket up enough boosts to finish Loatheb in a turn or two.

WARNING: This match can be extremely difficult, and may require more than one game. I actually concede turn 1 if I didn't get a decent starting hand.

Good Luck!
