How to defeat Heroic Loatheb!

Hey there, I'm here with another deck that I found to be very consistent in offering a chance to beat a Heroic Naxxramas Boss, this time, Loathab!

Warning: This Guide, inevitably, contains spoilers about the new Naxxramas Boss Loatheb! If you want to enjoy the full experience yourself first, stop reading here!

Basic Strategy:

So, Loathab in Heroic Mode has 99 Health and a Hero Power that deals 3 points of damage to your hero each turn for 0 Mana! He starts with a Fen Creeper on the field, as well as a Spore.  So, two approaches seemed most logical to me.

1. Try to get him to use a lot of spores and Unleash the Hounds for a "One Turn Kill" before he finishes me

2. Use either Priest or Warrior to survive and set up some minions over and over that will get buffed, hit for some damage, removed, rinse and repeat, continuously healing yourself/amoring up in the process.

Hunter immediately put up problems. How would I get rid of the Fen creeper? I needed a Hunter's Mark and a charge minion early in any case, as well as Unleash the Hounds. Even then, without perfect further draw I couldn't even activate spores as conveniently, since if I used the Hound to activate them only fewer of the Hounds could actually attack and would probably be cleared next turn, in which case I would be done. The combo was used for 2/3 of his HP, now even a perfect hand is empty.

As even the drawing board said no to Hunter I needed somethig more stable. I eventually decided against Warrior and for priest for mainly two cards: Shadow Word: Pain and Lightwell, as explained below.

Mulligan:

Almost inevitably you, at the beginning, want to see aforementioned Shadow Word: Pain. The reason is very simple, your all time favourite turn 2 will be feeling the satisfaction of getting rid of his God damn Fen Creeper after only one turn! If you happen to draw two that sort of sucks, but it can find it's uses in killing other <3 Attack minions, Maybe even an expensive activation for Spores

Also very nice to have is a Lightwell. As much as it will be an awkward curve if you have both  Lightwell and Shadow Word: Pain in your starting hand, but no one drop, this is essentially your Anti-Hero power as long as he does not bring AOE Removal as he will not care to target it. The 5 health also make for a great Body if it's being buffed and he does not have Poison Seeds.

The rest, honestly, is almost all fine, as your deck almost only consists of 1 and 2 drops that could all be tossed out. Shieldbearer is great to have as he blocks the first instance of Fen Creeper damage for you, if Loatheb does not play the 2/3 charge for 1 mana it will even live to, potentially, get his payback another day! You pretty much try to clear the board, heal up as much as possible and put out your small army of minions.Preferably, some of them have more then 1 point of Health, as one of your main source of new spores will be Sporebursts. When you control the field and have some minions on board use Elven Archers, Holy Smites or whatever just happens to serve the purpose to pop spores and wear him down gradually. If there are several spores, Holy Novas are actually OTK worthy! (Example in the upcoming video!)

Lightwarden, if played early and left standing can be used to either trade with a big thread or even deal some damage pre spore activation, as you will essentially be healing every turn! Basically every other card in this deck has a use of drawing a card, activating spores, just standing resolutely (looking at you, Stoneskin Gargoyle), if you however have questions regarding a particular choice feel free to ask!

Holy LightIs pretty much the only card that should surely be tossed out of the starting hand, however it does heal and helps against Spectral Knights a lot, which still makes it a very worthy inclusion in my opinion.

Eventually, just remember this is not a deck that you aim to OTK Loatheb with, you wear him down. Be prepared to lose some of your valuable minions to Poison Seeds, just search for new spores, trade so that you will not die and wear him down.

That's basically it, Draws may give you a harder or an easier time on this, and you should be aware that no deck is a 100% winning chance against a Heroic Naxx boss, but this deck has given me a really good quote for it. Have fun and all the luck necessary!
