Hello everyone! I'm Spark, Legend player from EU. After playtesting the Quest with the release of Un'Goro (Quest Hunter), I ended up coming back to my first love as it just feels more consistent. Midrange Hunter is back and it feels great!
The addition of Jeweled Macaw and Crackling Razormaw from Un'Goro is really what makes the archetype viable again. Besides the staple Hunter cards, I'm running the full Scavenging Hyena, Tundra Rhino and Dire Wolf Alpha package for a maximum of burst potential and Beast synergies.
I climbed to Legend with the deck scoring a 68% winrate
Here is some gameplay with the deck against Silence Priest and Taunt Warrior
Replacements
- Swamp King Dred = The Black Knight / King Krush / Call of the Wild / Deadly Shot / Hunter's Mark / Tracking
- Rat Pack = Carrion Grub / Vicious Fledgling / Infested Wolf
- Kindly Grandmother / Golakka Crawler / Hungry Crab = Fiery Bat / Knife Juggler / Ravasaur Runt / Eaglehorn Bow
I hope you'll enjoy the deck as much as I do and maybe it can help you reach Legend this season. Don't forget to show your support by upvoting the deck if you liked and don't hesitate to discuss about it or ask any question in the comment section below ;)

Hey Spark, I was wondering why you removed the 2 Timber Wolves in trade for the 2 Dire Wolves? (I understand the crab substitution) Is it strictly due to the wolves' small statline and the removal of Tol'Vir that made you feel that the Timber Wolves aren't as strong now?
Oh, and the deck is working fantastically! So far down to rank 3 with a 73% from rank 18. Proof: http://imgur.com/a/FVetC Any tips against Mage? Against previous versions of Freeze Mage and such back when shredder was around I found myself destroying them, but with all of these different variations of Mages, I don't know how to mulligan and such. My play style so far has been take the value and important trade but send the rest of the damage face and try to pressure my opponent as much as possible while trying to play around AOE and removal. (which often times leads me to playing into other pieces of removal, e.g. playing around flamestrike the first time, he then played it and I was able to regain the board with confidence, but then he used his second frostnova and his first doomsayer to put me out of steam)
Yeah this is due to the removal of Tol'Vir. The weaker body was pretty fine considering you can fetch for them but without this mechanic, it's safer to have a decent 2/2 body and can be a good turn two play as well.
Dude, can I add you? I can't pass rank 4 lmao, for real Bishop #13119
Second Golakka Crawler or Knife Juggler is perfectly fine ;)
I think I'd just go for the second Crawler as Pirates are always showing up here and there ^^
What do you think?
Fiery Bat feels good here ;)
Just felt like tol'vir was a bit slow in the end so I swapped the wolfs, just added the juggler for the nice synergies with all the tokens
Well Wolf is fine but I just feel like it's too slow, I just prefer Rat Pack and Companion in general. Leeroy just feels meh to me, it will be a dead card very often when you can't quite close the game yet
You're welcome, gratz for Legend!
Crafted this guy The Black Knight and oh boy i did not regret it ) win % increased against paladins, warriors and hunters as well. Its a really hard counter for following cards: Tirion Fordring, Wickerflame Burnbristle,Sunkeeper Tarim,Nesting Roc,Houndmaster,Al'Akir the Windlord and you see these cards a lot in game, especially paladins lately.
Against Q-warriors i keep it till T8 for this guy Primordial Drake it allows to push end damage. I run Deadly Shot to deal with early board control and The Black Knight for late game and board presence.
Sparkaz any hard reason picking Knife Juggler over Eater of Secrets? q-mages and paladins run a lot of secrets.
Yeah the card is so good in the current meta!
Well eater of secrets doesn't help much imo and I don't face many mages
You're welcome buddy, thanks a lot for the support and glad you enjoy :D
Spark, this is still one of my favorite decks. So good.
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoy and thanks for sharing ;)
Hey Spark,
I just registered to say thanks for the deck. Hunter class has always been my favourite ever since I started playing 2 years ago, and I'm really happy to reach legend this month with hunter. I only changed -timber wolf to +deadly shot. did not track winrate% as I mostly played on mobile. And you are absolutely right... choose a really good deck and a class you are comfortable with and with time, patience and some LUCK! you will reach legend! thanks again!
Thanks a lot for the support, you're welcome mate! Gratz for Legend and thanks for the feedback :D
I went from rank 17 to rank 10 without a single lose.
18-0! Impressive.
But i made slight changes, there is my decklist and stats. Now im sitting on rank 7-6.
