Hello everyone! I'm Spark, Legend player from EU. After playtesting the Quest with the release of Un'Goro (Quest Hunter), I ended up coming back to my first love as it just feels more consistent. Midrange Hunter is back and it feels great!
The addition of Jeweled Macaw and Crackling Razormaw from Un'Goro is really what makes the archetype viable again. Besides the staple Hunter cards, I'm running the full Scavenging Hyena, Tundra Rhino and Dire Wolf Alpha package for a maximum of burst potential and Beast synergies.
I climbed to Legend with the deck scoring a 68% winrate
Here is some gameplay with the deck against Silence Priest and Taunt Warrior
Replacements
- Swamp King Dred = The Black Knight / King Krush / Call of the Wild / Deadly Shot / Hunter's Mark / Tracking
- Rat Pack = Carrion Grub / Vicious Fledgling / Infested Wolf
- Kindly Grandmother / Golakka Crawler / Hungry Crab = Fiery Bat / Knife Juggler / Ravasaur Runt / Eaglehorn Bow
I hope you'll enjoy the deck as much as I do and maybe it can help you reach Legend this season. Don't forget to show your support by upvoting the deck if you liked and don't hesitate to discuss about it or ask any question in the comment section below ;)

Well it's explained in the guide, this combination of cards gives the deck so much burst potential, valuable trades and great synergies overall.
Leeroy Jenkins isn't good enough to be worth the spot honestly, it's totally outshined by Kill Command. Eaglehorn Bow, I'm not a big fan in the current meta, too slow to fight for board control at this stage of the game.
Ok, thank you for your input :D
You're welcome!
great deck and big thanks for the guide!! Ive only played around 10 games or so, but beating both warriors, quest rogues, mages, even a priest! My only loss was to a murloc paladin, and I conceded that one turn 5 after horrible card draw. Even the taunt warriors can go down if you play your buffs and adapts well. Moving to rank 6 right now. I've been as high as rank 1 before, but never grabbed the legendary prize. maybe this month!
Very nice glad you enjoy! I think it's a pretty good spot to reach legend for you, the meta is not completely stabilized and the deck is pretty solid. So if you are comfortable with it (which seems to be the case) you should get there :D I wish you the best of luck ;)
How you deal with lack of card draw? For example quest warrior, game usually go further than midgame and lack of card draw just is insta loss. Or do I have to just accept that this deck cant handle end game with QW and concede?
You don't need more card draw than Tol'Vir, your games are generally decided by Turn 8. Quest Warrior isn't so hard, with a good curve they just can't handle the pressure. If they manage to stabilize as you run out of cards, just accept the loss and go on ;)
Hey! Nice, as I stated in my recent article about Hunter cards I don't feel like the card will stick in competitive list but I still feel like it's worth the try. I don't have it so I can't tell myself but I may try it later on. How often it feels like a dead card (I mean no impact on the fact you win the game) compare to when it ensure the last bit of steam to close the game?
Yeah I think the card couldn't fit in a somewhat slower meta. At the moment I don't see it very useful besides Taunt Warrior, which I already handle decently especially with The Black Knight
Hey Sparkz!
Good deck, although I would cut out the Tolvir and the Timber Wolves, and least that`s how I am playing right now. The bunch of one drops was a bit too much for me, so I cut those out and instead playing e.g. with Deadly Shot, which is working good against Taunt Warrior.

I see you came to the same conclusion I did about the Golakka Crawlers 2 is way better then 1 in this meta.
Yeah it just fits the deck perfectly. I mean a 2/3 Beast body for 2 mana and you get to destroy those pesky Pirates that are still very popular atm :D
