This deck took me to legend this month and I think it is really good in this meta. It is able to do well against quest warrior and miracle rogue, which are the two main decks on high rank ladder at the moment.
In the early game you want to curve out and get the elemental battlecry synergies, then in the late game you want to finish your opponent off with face damage mixed with burn damage from the elementals and Jade Lightning
I chose the Fire Plume Phoenix instead of the Tol'vir Stoneshaper because curving from the phoenix into Servant of Kalimos is really good and phoenix is a good card in itself.
I think the jade package is a great fit for elemental shaman. The Jade Claws are an integral part of the early game. It helps keep the opponents board clear so you can have time to fill your own. Jade Lightning is very good for removal and burn. Aya Blackpaw is a huge value machine.
MULLIGAN
Always Keep: Fire Fly and Jade Claws
Vs Aggro: Maelstrom Portal, Tar Creeper, Lightning Storm
Vs Control: Flametongue Totem if you have Fire Fly or Jade Claws, if you already have a good curve I have kept Mana Tide Totem and Servant of Kalimos in my opening hand before.
The most important thing when you choose your mulligan against mid range and control decks is to have a good curve.
If you have any questions about the deck ask them in the comments and I will answer them.
I've played a few matches and found that often you have a large amount of low attack minions on the board.
Why did you choose not to include Bloodlust in this deck? And what would you take out if you found yourself in my situation?
Thanks in advance, I'm new to playing shaman so not sure what to change quite yet.
Is there any viable replacement for Bloodmage Thalnos?
Also what would you suggest to mulligan vs various decks?
Thalnos is very important to the deck because of his cycling and spell power. If you don't have him then I would suggest Hot Spring Guardian if you're facing a lot of aggro or Devolveif you're facing more control type decks. I don't suggest taking Thalnos out because he is a very versatile card that compliments the deck well.
Thanks for the advice, Ill play around with your suggestions.
