Card Explanations:
Backstab - Staple in almost all Rogue decks. Helps with early game and favourable trades later on in the game.
Preparation - Staple in almost all Rogue decks. Preferably used with Crystal Core and Vanish. Use early against faster decks.
Shadowstep - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Fire Fly - Good early game minion. Good Battlecry for bouncing. Flame Elemental from this card and Igneous Elemental allow for easy quest completion and saving the bounce cards for later in the game.
Glacial Shard - Best card against aggro decks like Pirate Warrior. This is your main card against big threats like Edwin VanCleef. Normally used to stall before you complete the quest.
Patches the Pirate - Works well with Southsea Deckhand and Swashburglar. 1 Mana 5/5 Charge after the quest. Can be used as a finisher if bounced many times.
Southsea Deckhand - Works well with Patches the Pirate. 1 Mana 5.5 Charge after the quest. Can be used as a finisher if bounced many times. Can also be used early game against faster decks.
Swashburglar - Works well with Patches the Pirate. Good Battlecry for bouncing. You might want to bounce this card against certain classes, such as Mage, Warrior, Rogue. The reason why is because there are plenty of cards you can get from them that can help.
The Caverns Below - Rogue Quest. The deck is built around this card. This is your win condition.
Eviscerate - Good early game removal. Staple in almost all rogue decks.
Gadgetzan Ferryman - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Novice Engineer - Card draw! Good Battlecry for bouncing. You probably want to bounce this card against slower decks to cycle as much as possible.
Youthful Brewmaster - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Igneous Elemental - Flame Elemental from this card and Fire Fly allow for easy quest completion and saving the bounce cards for later in the game. Good card to play against AoE.
Mimic Pod - Gives you duplicates. At first I wasn't a fan of this card because of how slow it was. But after playing with/without it I have come to believe that this is a staple for this deck. If you land something crazy like a Shadowstep with this card then the game is already over. And of course... card draw!
Vanish - "Why are you playing Vanish without Coldlight Oracle?" In the previous version of this deck, I did in fact have Coldlight Oracle. However I noticed that if I drew Novice Engineer or Mimic Pod early, then the Coldlight Oracle would just be sitting in my hand. I don't like cards that just sit in my hand. Also, fuck Fan of Knives for AoE. Doesn't kill shit and it's probably going to draw you a Backstab anyway.

Boar is only good post quest, its a dead card before quest completion which is the most important time not to have dead cards, eviscerate is more efficient.
You will be sorely wishing you had your eviscerates when your opponent plays Frothing Berserker. The important part of quest rogue decks is what happens before you complete the quest, not after.
I wish I could see the look on every scrub's face when I pull one of their bounce cards with Dirty Rat
Are you serious, this deck has 8 cards with bounce effects, do you think we give a fuck about your dirty rat?
"We," as in you and the rest of the scrubs that play this garbage? And yeah, I am. If you can't get a bounce on turn 3 you're fucked.
Propably he didnt mean not 1 of the cards to bounce, but the 1 we are bouncing over and over. Like if you bounced Swashburglar twice and he rats and kills it, the Quest gets delayed hard.
which is why Flame Elemental, and the cards that create them, are so brilliant. What do I care if you pull out and kill my Fire Fly? It's the Flame Elementals that matter, and by that point I'll have like 3 in hand.
Maybe I'm mistaken but I think tylerzooted created this first.
Coldlight Oracle is a better choice than Mimic Pod imo, gets you through your deck faster and provides another 5/5 body. Also, I've Mimic Pod'd Preps enough times that I've decided it's not consistently good.
for each prep pod, there's a shadowstep pod making it worthwhile. It's a little inconsistent, but it's consistent enough, and sometimes it's just amazing.
When you play this deck you don't care about anything, just finish the quest and try to win FailFish.
P.S. eggnapper is a terrible idea in any case.
i played maybe 200 games with a very similar list to this and i have to say pirate warrior is super easy. this deck only loses to zoo, hunter and pirate warrior... basically aggro. control matchups are super easy because you have time to complete the quest without worrying about the board. I have gotten lucky and beaten zoo a few times but normally its bad. ive played it from rank 18 to rank 7 so far. i struggled in the beginning because im not a rogue player but with some practice ive become very efficient with the deck and have maintained a 62% winrate.
the first 100 games or so i was still learning the deck... im not a rogue player so i needed to learn the class a little more. my after the first 100ish games is much better than it was vs the first 100 games. I know 200 games is bad but my point on the comment i made was thatquest rogue isnt an invincible deck like a lot of people make it seem.
(Deck that counters what I play) is the real problem!
0% winrate vs facehuner, pirate warrior and zoolock
got to tech in fan of knives and then you win every game.
helps a bit vs facehunter, but still losing vs pirate warrior and zoolock most of the games
Good.
any aggro deck Pirate Warrior or Hunt - Auto lose
just tech fan of knives and you don't lose.
