UPDATE 3: You guys have been so nice that I picked up streaming again! Will work on a schedule. You can check me out at twitch.tv/boomtjalah
UPDATE 2: I designed a new deck for ranks 10-Legend. It's Paladin and its absolutely crushing. 31-7 so far! Check it out! http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/805759-11-2-so-far-boomtjalahs-control-curator-paladin
UPDATE: This deck has insane winrates from ranks 20 to roughly 8. I went 30-5 and so do a lot of people as you can read in the comments. From rank 8 however this deck seems to stagnate as they seem to be flooded with priest and taunt warrior ATM. I am working on 'another elevator' to give the fast climb from down up a nice follow up. If you are new, have little dust and start climbing from 20 or 25 this deck is the best in the game.
As promised I will work on a detailed mulligan and match up guide. Thanks for the love <3
Hi Guys, I'm Boomtjalah! I'm a multiple times Legend player and infinite Arena player. I decided to start sharing some of the decks I use this expansion, or my adaptions of existing ones.
I'm currently trying this FaceHunter list. I decided to call it Elevator Hunter because it's a fast trip to the top of the ladder, able to win all matches. Having a 90% WR from rank 15-8. I started with another FaceHunter list but I felt like it was still a bit off. I won all rogue and piratewarrior matches so far and a few taunt warriors, so this list is promising.
Though the name implies differently, you actually make a lot of trades early and mid. General rule though is: only trade when you can totally win the board, when you have cards for really superb trading, or obviously when you need to.
Against Zoolock for example it's usually a good idea to maybe only make one trade and then apply SMOrc pressure!
Mulligan: Alleycat,Jeweled Macaw, Crackling Razormaw
Hunter's Mark is one of the true MVP's in this deck. Use it wisely to win unwinable matchups!
You can replace Leeroy with Tundra Rhino.
While I write the rest of the guide, enjoy this showcase video made by kiwiinbacon
hit rank 15 and >50% of games are taunt warrior. so this deck has a 50% loss rate off the bat for me. Seems good but since I've played a 5 games with this and 4 were against taunt warrior I can't really say either way. The only one NOT taunt warrior was a priest and I did in fact win that one, so there's hope once I get away from all these mindless taunts.
Nice deck, can I replace something with King Krush?
Well I can't stop you but it will be years or decades before King Krush ever fits the meta.;)
I just wanna see that deadly intro :D but you're right, 9 mana is just too much.
super fun deck!
This looks like a reasonable deck list. I've been playing quest rogue to rank 7 so far, and face hunter is one of the biggest problem decks for it where a bad start will inevitably result in a loss. However I am playing against a lot of taunt warriors, and it looks like this deck might not pack enough punch in that matchup.
I actually like this deck a lot. the curve is fantastic, you can pump up huge creatures quite efficiently and actually dish damage when facing other aggro decks, while being able to set up comboes against mid-range and control!
I made a video showcasing the deck which I hope you guys enjoy :D
Nice ranked video bro! Im surprised you havent played against murloc priest! So strong at this rank!!!
I am having a bit of luck with this deck, and that is without even having some of the key cards such as Eaglehorn Bow (I have no dust, nor a very expensive collection).
I seem to be playing a lot of Unite the Murlocs opponents at the moment, and can beat them so long as I get reasonable drops. Kill Command almost always ends up being my finisher.
One minion I do have that is not listed here is Timber Wolf, and based on his performance I think I will keep him in the deck even when I find replacements. He combos well with other cards, especially Unleash the Hounds. Given how aggressive the meta is at the moment I am tempted to try and put a Explosive Trap in there as well, maybe at the cost of Stubborn Gastropod who doesn't really seem to have given much value yet.
Dont think about replacing Stubborn Gastropod.
My Opponent just played a turn 1 12/12 Edwin just to see it die to the little snail in the next turn, because he burned all his cards and had no way to deal with it.
Never laughed so hard at an instant concede :D
nope
This deck does amazingly well against Taunt warriors, but struggles against shamans/pirate warrior.
see if you can work some of that in your deck :)
Never thought Vicious Fledgling would be that good + fun
ya super suprised with the card
Tip for less experienced players hitting face with Vicious Fledgling: choose windfury if you can to adapt again
any use for Stampede? Probably not, just looking for a deck that uses it since I don't buy packs and managed to pull this purple from an arena run.
I'm thinking of replacing the Smuggler's Crate with another Alleycat for more concistency, will let you know the results.
So far the deck seems to do better with Smugglers, though I face counters a lot tonight.
If you're going to put '84% win rate' in the title then you need to post proof.
Every so called phote of proof is easily photoshopped in about 30 seconds. Everyone can add me on battlenet and see me progress through the ranks. I had 84% winrate with it, but not everyone will due to skill differences.
Also, the meta is still shifting from day to day so maybe WR is higher or lower today. Will let you guys know
