Currently my favorite deck in the new expansion, Flower Rogue!

Pre-Un'goro, a lot of players expressed disappointment with the flower cards, myself included tbh. But in them I saw a glimmer of potential and made a personal goal to create a playable ranked deck out of them. To my surprise, they actually have been performing very well. This deck also requires a touch of skill to play, since you often play multiple cards and combo's a turn. Just hit Rank 10 with this deck and still climbing steadily.

The idea of this deck is that you want to get Sherazin, Corpse Flower in play and then perpetuate its threatening existence with cheap rogue shenanigans for a TON of value. This deck has been doing exceptionally well versus Control and Midrange decks (Just watch out for Hex ), though it does stumble a little against Aggro. I suppose the question is "Can this deck beat Rogue Quest and Pirate Warrior?" The answer for me so far has been...sometimes. If you can get Sherazin, Corpse FlowerEdwin VanCleef or Arcane Giant on the board fast enough, you can potentially win. Against any other deck, you're ganna have a real good time.

For mulligans, you should try to get some Backstabs,, Discover cards, or Sherazin, Corpse Flower. The sooner you get Sherazin rolling, the better. SI:7 Agents are ok to.

I'll do a rundown on some of the cards and synergies to be aware of;

Journey Below has a pretty good chance of drawing a second Sherazin, Corpse Flower or Xaril, Poisoned Mind. Having multiple Sherazin's is very powerful and pretty much essential versus decks with transformative removal like Hex. Luckily, it appears the Un'goro meta is lacking these kinds of removal, the only class that seems to use them much is Shaman. Almost always get Sherazin, Corpse Flower, if it doesn't appear, get Xaril, Poisoned Mind instead. If you don't discover either of those cards, then Journey Below stills serves as a neat little 1 cost card draw to activate your other synergies.

EDIT: I have cut Journey Below to fit in the Swashburglars alongside a Patches. This helps out immensely with controlling aggro. Since I made this edit, Pirate warriors and Hunters have been much more manageable.

Hallucination is surprisingly good in this meta. Like, against Pirate Warrior, you have a good chance of discovering taunt or against Murloc Shaman, you can discover some really great board clears.  This card generally gives you a good shot at drawing cards that counter your opponent. If nothing else, it's good for your combo's.

Xaril, Poisoned Mind is fantastic for adding more cheap cards to your hand. If you hadn't figured it out by now, this deck LOVES filling your hand with cheap cards, especially spells.

Razorpetal Lasher and Razorpetal Volley are the underdogs in this deck. On the surface, they appear terrible. But they are this decks lifeblood. Here's a list of all the wonderful things these little spells allow you to do;

-Allow you to consistently revive Sherazin. Almost every turn. Just a single Razorpetal Volley plus 1 more card will revive. Absolutely insane with multiple Sherazin's.

-Discount Arcane Giant incredibly quickly. Razorpetal Volley will provide a 3 mana discount all by itself.

-Buff your Van Cleef really well, obviously.

-Volley benefits from spell power twice, play it with Bloodmage Thalnos and say, a Backstab for some very nice removal and Sherazin revives.

-Draw from the Auctioneer like crazy.

To get insane value out of your Razorpetal's, you want to play them in way way that you can activate multiple of these synergies at the same time. Imagine 2 dead Sherazin's on the board while holding just one Volley and a 3 cost Giant. You can revive both 5/3 Sherazin's and summon an 8/8 Giant for only 4 mana! That is actually a consistently achievable play with this deck.

EDIT: So I talked a big game for Razorpetal Volley's a lot here, but I now made an edit which swaps out both Volley's for Mimic Pod's, which is a tremendous shame because they're flowers and the theme gets a little watered down when you'r throwing less flower petals >.> After some testing, I find that Mimic Pod's more or less achieve the same effect, especially when they hit spells like backstabs, but also cycle the deck and are capable of some crazy draws, like getting Sherazin or Arcane Giants mimicked is rather insane. I still think Razorpetal Volley's are ok though, but Mimic Pod's just have way more potential. Use Volley's as a substitution for Mimic Pod.

Ultimately, if you wanna play an interesting, underdog Rogue deck and refuse to be a scumbag Quest Rogue, give this a go. It's super fun and may just surprise you with its Flower Power!
