Card Breakdown | |
---|---|
Alleycat | I really like this as a one-drop. It is also a great pairing with Starving Buzzard for drawing two cards, synergizes with Infest and also Dinomancy. |
Jeweled Macaw | An amazing new one-drop that replaces itself in your hand, potentially with a very valuable beast. |
Crackling Razormaw | I think this card was really underrated previously. It doesn't look too powerful at first glance, but adapt is actually really powerful on a 1/1 beast on turn two, or any turn really. The stats are also great if you have to just drop it for board presence. |
Dinomancy | This is one of the fundamental cards for this deck. This enables you to turn absolutely any beast token into a huge threat, and really snowballs if you play it early. Amazing synergy with a lot of card including Rat Pack and Vicious Fledgling. |
Grievous Bite | This is a simple and straightforward removal spell that is often very handy. Don't be afraid to use it on a single minion or a bunch of 1/1 tokens depending on the situation. It is a nice way to swing the tempo. |
Animal Companion | Obvious classic hunter spell here. All the beast can be of use and compliment the deck nicely. Nice on turn 3. |
Infest | This deck has many tokens, so this is usually quite easy to get value from. If you are running out of cards you can turn a few tokens into some more cards to keep your board alive. |
Kill Command | Classic burn spell that is quite powerful; good to have. |
Rat Pack | This is often frustrating for your opponent and with a simple buff it can spawn several more beasts to replace it. |
Houndmaster | He let the dogs out. |
Infested Wolf | A great source for more beast tokens that can keep our board populated and ready to attack. |
Starving Buzzard | This card has been shit on for a while, but i think it finally has enough support to be worth playing. There's lots of beasts to be summoned. Buffing it is also fantastic. |
Tundra Rhino | This is the most obvious way to win a game. If this lasts more than one turn you'll quickly destroy your opponent with beasts. Amazing in combination with Bittertide Hydras and Vicious Fledglings. |
Savannah Highmane | Very powerful classic beast. I decided to run only one for now, as i wanted to count more on cheaper deathrattles to spawn beasts. |
Vicious Fledgling | This particular beast is extremely strong. If this is left on the board and gets to attack face even once it can get out of control and end the game almost immediately. You will want to pick windfury if it doesn't already have it to adapt a second time immediately after and then choose something to protect it. |
Nesting Roc | I did not think much of this card at first, but in a deck like this with a lot of tokens it can be a huge obstacle for a very affordable price. |

Very attractive guide! Seriously, one of the best looking I've ever seen.
I haven't tried this deck yet, but I just opened my first Dinomancy and am eager to play around with it.
How deck is working out? And why u replace hydra?
Trying this out now :P
with only some minor adjustments:
+1 Flare, +1 Houndmaster, +2 unleash the hounds
How is Grievous Bite working out for you? I only have 1 copy of Dinomancy, but will be trying this out thanks for sharing...
I find it to be very convenient to help trade and clear off any small or lingering minions. It's a great way to destroy tempo of faster decks early on as well, like pirate warriors and some rogues for example. Quest hunters as well.
I love this deck. I like Dinomancy far more than The Marsh Queen. Sadly, I don't have Rat Pack [/card] so I put in 2x [card]Carrion Grub instead and they've been my MVPs throughout my matches.
I've really been liking the deck, but Ive decided to add in a Golakka and 2 Houndmasters and throw out the buzzards and Dred. Those 3 are just too slow to warrant use, and I wanted an extra 2 drop to utilize. I might end up adding a 2nd one if necessary. Other than that, solid deck.
Lack of 2 and 4 drops meant that the deck easily loses to aggro and Quest Rogue. I'd take out Dred and a Rhino for two Golakka or Kindly Grandmother.
I think 2 Stampedes > Infest and Buzzard, but I can't be sure.
A large majority of the cards in this deck are from 1-4 cost, and i haven't had any easy losses against quest rogues yet. I did remove dred finally after getting some game in with it (hey, i got it from a pack, why not try it ^_^)
I added 1 Scavenging Hyena but i don't think i am going to lose infest and buzzard for stampede. There's not so many low-cost beasts in this deck so i am not sure i trust the consistency of playing that. I think it is better to take advantage of the tokens that will be summoned on the board through deathrattles, especially with plants for adapt. Stampede says "play" and not "summon" as buzzard does as well, so it would not trigger off of things being only summoned. You can easily get 2-3 draws using buzzard if you play it correctly.
Is Swamp King Dred needed?
Not really imo. btw 2x Scavenging Hyena are missing.
Nah i put him in for the lulz because i had it, and it still worked out for me. Scavenging is probably a better bet for sure.
