Hey Guys,
Un'Goro finally made Purify Priest viable, thanks to Humongous Razorleaf. This card is busted.
I´ve been running this list all morning (EU), stomping Cavern Rogues, Pirate Warriors (rot in hell, can you try sth new and fun pls?!), and elemental shamans along the way.
Mulligan:
Northshire Cleric,Ancient Watcher,Tar Creeper and Humongous Razorleaf are priorities. Never keep silence in opening hand, you run 5 of them, you´ll find one in due time.
If you find Humongous Razorleaf + 0 Mana Silence in your opening hand there is an argument for keeping it though.
Plant a big thing on turn 2 or 3, then silence it and never let it die. I´ve had 4/16s and 16/16s consistently on turns 4 to 6.
Shamans might run Hex, so try to play around it and dont put everything you got onto 1 minion.
Against taunt warrior play slowly, collect pieces for a big combo turn where they are not taunted up (potion of madness helps, which I dont currently run however).
All other matchups are pretty easy at the moment.
Flex-spot:
If you´re looking for more defense, add aDragonfire Potion for a Faceless Shamblersince you run no AoE at all. You shouldn´t be in a situation where you need AoE most of the time, I did however lose to a murloc shaman after he refilled with Megafin and got the AoE murloc 2x together with 3 Warleaders, which lost me the board over 2 tuns.
For even more survivability, consider removing Kabal Songstealer and add cards like Acidic Swamp Ooze or the Pirate-eating crab. It weakens your matchups against non-pirate warriors however
EDIT:
I put in 2x Shadow Visions for a Songstealer and Potion of Madness, that card is so good as it helps you find your combo pieces moire reliably. Against slow decks consider keeping it in opening hand.
also took out Barnes for a Bittertyde Hydra, more reliable and doesn´t need to be silenced, Barnes felt too gimmicky.
defender of argus might be a good idea
True, I prefer shamblers and sunfurys however. The things you taunt up have pretty good stats already most of the time.
"Plant a big thing on turn 2 or 3"
i get it
;)
Barnes is a horrible card for this deck.
came to the same conclusion, I'll update the list. Can be very fun though.
Thanks for trying it out! :)
Yeah, the deck shines against aggro, mainly Pirates and Hunter. Against Handlock and Taunt Warrior it can get really tricky, you kind of have to go all in on a big buffen minion. Tons of fun though!
Awesome deck, too bad it isn't getting much notice. Climbed from rank 17 to 12 with only two losses (against taunt warrior and questlock). Like you said, it's not uncommon to get huge dudes really early. I frequently OTK'ed people, like this pally...
Also to note....the one loss to handlock was really a loss to card draw.......
Thx for trying it out! I've updated the list a bit, make sure to check the changes, and keep crushing your foes faces with no less than 40 atk minions :D
Working really well, but still gets demolished by taunt warrior unfortunately :(
