Come in and Warm your Frozen Boots by the Fire!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gunnolf, and I am originally from the Land Down Under a.k.a. Australia. I am an avid gamer that has acquired a real passion for card games, which originated from my humble beginnings as a Yu-Gi-Oh collector and eventually grew from my dabbling in Cardfight Vanguard and Buddyfight, until we reached the game we know as Hearthstone.
I've played Hearthstone since the days of classic, with multiple accounts on both EU and NA servers. Despite having reached the Rank of Legend and my own personal mentality of equating 'having fun' with 'winning', I am not really a fan of meta power-grinding & net-decking, not that there is anything wrong with that. Therefore, I enjoy thinking about new, cool and fun deck ideas that push boundaries while also allowing you to win and those are what I want to share with you guys every-time I post a decklist.
I have presently become a contributing writer to WILDHS and will be posting articles there on a semi-regular basis, regarding deck-archetypes the status of the meta as well as how to get the most fun out of this game even if you aren't a big spender. If any of this sounds interesting, then I highly recommend that you check out of the website, as the writers and the owner himself are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet with great in-game knowledge (link to be website can be found HERE). You can also follow me on Twitter for latest updates.
If you genuinely like my content and would like to see me produce more of it, then please consider supporting me on Patreon. This is by no means necessary but it will definitely help me out in the long run. Thanks for Reading ^^
Deck Introduction
Hey guys and welcome to my first ever deck created on Hearthpawn. This deck has gone through many, many iterations since it was first conceived as I have adapted it to fill multiple metas and increased its power level exponentially from expansion to expansion, with the inclusion of new cards that allow for the deck to remain consistent again aggro while not losing any value and thus being able to go to toe to toe with the strongest control decks. It truly is a fun deck that I enjoy revisiting with every new release.
Card Substitutions and Tech Choices
There might be periods of time when the meta becomes a lot more aggressive and as a result you'll need to make some substitutions in order to make sure the deck is more consistent in that particular meta. Therefore in an aggro meta, please consider making the following changes:
-2 Dark Cultist / +2 Deathlord Pretty self explanatory. Extra taunts to absorb the aggro chip damage + the deathrattle synergy for increasing the quest.
-1 Entomb / +1 Shadow Word: Horror or +1 Dragonfire Potion or +1 Excavated Evil Repetitive board clears allow you to keep the board nice and empty until your swing turn.
-1 Curious Glimmerroot / +1 Priest of the Feast. Additional healing over card generation.
Multiple Win Conditions
The deck at hand apart from the obvious N'Zoth, the Corruptor has a few other win conditions that might not be so evident. Specifically, chaining value off of Lyra the Sunshard can generate so many extra resources, that your opponent might be hard pressed in dealing with all the additional value generated. Speaking of additional value you always have the option of using Shadow Visions to obtain muliple Un'goro packs produced by Elise the Trailblazer. The deck essentially has close to no issue producing close to infinite resources and more often than not you'll find yourself with more threats than your opponent would ever be able to hand.
Author's Notes
I enjoy deck-building a multitude of interesting decks that are both entertaining and Legend viable (with some odd Free-to-Play lists mixed in). So if you like this deck (or anyone of my other ones) consider leaving a thumbs up, as it really helps in the long run! :)
Thank you guys for all your support and if you have any suggestions, let me know.
Bro Is lyra the sunshard Necessary too ?
I have the enough dust to craft it , But i want to save the dust for the new expansion, So What is the replacement for it ?
Zola the Gorgon
Sneed's Old Shredder
Obsidian Statue
Spiritsinger Umbra
I personally like Lyra the Sunshard but you could easily replace her with Zola the Gorgon. I assuming that the cards you listed are ones you own. :)
Expect sneeds old shredder xD
I do like the card but I feel like Dane would be more like to suggest that :D
Yeah xD
Any replacements for Curious Glimmerroot?
Probably Kabal Courier. Is the closest to a decent body. You could probably do Crystalline Oracle as well.
What is the replacement forElise the Trailblazer
You could play a second Entomb or potentially just another Shadow Word: Death. She's a good value generator just not a mandatory one. :)
Any Kobolds card that could fit?
Good question. I'll definitely be revisiting the deck in a week or so, so I should have a concrete answer for you by then. For now though I think I'll be able to fit in Carnivorous Cube, Plated Beetle and potentially even Zola the Gorgon
:D that was a bump for any new cards lol
lightbombs? i think dragonfire potion might be better any thoughts?
No dragon synergy so I kind of prefer Lightbombs in general in this deck! :)
alrite this one is personal preference ,,,just that some aggro decks a lightbomb cant clear the board but 5 dps to everything can :D
ty for reply as always :)
I'm Glad to hear that! ^^
Yes it is built quite greedy but that's why tech choices exist. I'm glad you made alterations that helped you deal with excessive agro! :)
Would you mind listing your substitutions for the benefit of other readers as well? ^^
I introduced tech choices to deal with agro, if you would like to read the description. You can mix and match as you see fit from those options! ^^
Why Flash Heal and not Binding Heal?
'Flash Heal' is way more versatile than 'Binding Heal'.
Often you will want to use 'flash heal' together with 'Auchenai Soulpriest' as really cheap efficient removal.
If you were using 'Binding heal' instead, you would take 5 damage to the face with Auchenai on board (i.e. anti-synergy). Honestly, if you don't have 'flash heal', I would not substitute it for 'Binding Heal'. You could always substitute it for small death rattle cards/ more cycle.
Hope that helps! :)
