with what?
Hey guys, I faced this version of Taunt warrior and beat it fairly consistently using my deck. Just wanted to share it with you guys.
I made my own taunt warrior deck and been developing it while trying it out. I'm actually using King Mosh, but I do have Deathwing. Do you believe it'd be better to replace? And why?
This is the current setup I've got (mind you this is while working with the cards I've got, I am aware there are better ones in place of some but I don't have them yet):
What is the point of Curator in the deck?
This is the first deck I crafted in Un'Goro, always been a big fan of oppressive Warrior decks. And of course being able to use the Rag power without setting your health to 8, and going homo, is pretty cool.
Hard to say how good it is, but it's certainly not bad.
Actually, Deathwing has been saving my ass a few times, notably against Priest. Late game, I don't even see much loss with the discard of the cards as my hand quite empty, a couple of cards at most.
Curiously, I haven't encountered any rogues (I have only played a few hours). You should have enough removals (2 Brawls, 2 Execute and Deathwing). I also added King Mosh. He helped me a few times. Try to mulligan Dirty Rats. Best way for them to auto-concede lol
Exactly, when they complete their quests, keep taunts with 5+ attacks and it should be ok.
I'm not sure about Quest Warrior to make T1. They are some pretty aggressive decks like Shaman Murlocs. Quest Warrior could hardly survive against aggro deck. I was thinking about TTK Mage too. I got wrecked by one. He had one life left. Had a good board presence he would have died next turn. He TTK with Antonidas... Or may be Discolock too. I will wait for the meta to settle more before investing my dust.
I'm in the same boat on this one since I haven't crafted one yet. I guess if you're really struggling to gain board control late game, then this can be your stabilization and coupled with The Curator, you'll be able to pull this from your deck if you haven't drawn into it already. I think it's a nice tech depending on how the meta ends up.
Deathwing carried so many games for me. Most opponents play around the Ragnaros hero power by flooding the board, which is ideal for Deathwing. Maybe that will change in the future, but at the moment he is the MVP in this deck.
any replacement for quest card?
The quest card is kind of irreplaceable. The whole deck is built around completing the quest.
Why is Deathwing necessary and which classes is it good against?
I think the answer is Jade. Druids are going to remain strong, as the deck didn't change much and the game potentially slowing down only makes the deck better. Deathwing (after the quest is completed) means a full reset, insane tempo swing, and pretty much guaranteed victory.
honestly i was playing some jade druid myself and i realize actually losing living roots , azure drake and brann is quite annoying as we do we have slightly less cycling , crucial 2 dmg or 2x 1/1s and also fast jade ramps ...
Jade definitely feels a little slower now , losing mulch at the same time means jade is now even more vulnerable to aggro while at the same time isn't as fast in catching tempo now
Can I replace Deathwing and The Curator?
You can but I would advise against doing so. They are quite difficult to replace.
So you recommend crafting Deathwing?
Deathwing is a classic card, which means it will(likely) never rotate out of standard, which makes it a good card to craft. However it's a limited card which is hard to play in certain decks. I believe Deathwing will see play from time to time, in certain metas. If I were you, I would hold on for about a week, or two and then see if he's still widely used in the decks in the new meta. Crafting any cards this early after the expansion is risky. However I can almost guarantee(99.9%) that Deathwing will see play again even if he doesn't fit in the Jungle of Un'goro!
