Played this deck on November 7 2017 and went from rank 23 to rank 10 on a win streak with only one loss. Still a good deck to climb the shitty stages of ladder with.
Add me on NA servers "#1385"
Dear tryhard babyragers,
Went from rank 20 to rank 3 with this deck. Not bad for a free to play (f2p) deck. I got to study for exams so I won't be playing for the next 2 weeks. If you can't win with this deck its not because the deck sucks (clearly if I hit rank 3). This deck is meant for f2p players trying to rank up. If you are trying to hit legend be creative and edit the deck with cards that most f2p players won't have. If you can't hit legend without copy and pasting someone's deck then you really don't understand the mechanics of hearthstone. Don't babyrage in my comments that you're not creative enough to upgrade the deck with better cards that you payed for.
My deck got featured on Reynad's youtube channel! Check out Reynad's channel and subscribe for awesome content! This is why we play stegadon! LOL
UPDATE:
-1 Jeweled Macaw because it wasn't a strong enough 1 drop
-1 Raptor Hatchling it thickened the deck with another 1 drop
-1 Smuggler's Crate having 2 was just too much and a shit top deck late game
-2 Ravasaur Runt after many games I realized this card was just garbage
-2 Tar Creeper it was not a beast and was useless on your turn
-1 Stegodon having 2 was too slow but its nice to have 1 against pirate warrior
-1 Volcanosaur its too slow for this deck
-1 Knife Juggler its not a beast so I kept one
+2 Alleycat high chance of one surving to adapt on turn 2, if both alive insane synergy with dire wolf
+2 Fiery Bat contests all 2 drops and deathrattle effect nice to use against exodia mage
+2 Dire Wolf Alpha just an insane card for this deck, works nicely with alleycat
+1 Golakka Crawler because fuck pirate warriors and swashburglars in quest rogue
+1 Vicious Fledgling this card is nice when it hits face but doesn't happen too often so run 1
+1 Cult Master the card draw off this has helped me win alot of games
+1 Reckless Rocketeer aka the poor man's Leeroy, if you have Leeroy use him instead
MULLIGAN/MATCHUPS:
Get rid of anything that is 3 mana or higher. If you see a priest/control warrior Stubborn Gastropod is your best friend. This deck beats every deck easily except for taunt warrior, elemental shamans, and priests. Sometimes I blow out these tough matchups, sometimes I win through a tough battle, most of the time you get rekt. Rogues get rekt. Hunters get rekt. Pirate warrior is 50/50. Discolock gets rekt. Controllock gets rekt if they can't find hellfire. Paladins I have not seen at all. Mages get rekt.
GAMEPLAY:
"DO ME TRADE? NO! ME GO FACE? YUP!" Unfortunately, you can't go face and expect to win, early board control is key, and you must make tactical trades and choose the best adaptation for your current situation. IE, get poisonous for taunt warrior, +3 health against mage to avoid AOE clear, stealth when you have lethal next turn, taunt when facing pirate warrior, and can't be targeted by spells when facing mages, priests, or warlocks.
I think that this deck should have a favorable match-up with Quest Warrior. Or at least that's how I feel. I mainly play Quest Warrior now and constantly get rekt by Hunter so.. idk. Or maybe I'm just a bad QW player
Great budget deck that allows both competitive play and fast farming of daily quests/gold.
cruised from rank 25 to 16 without a single loss after getting back into HS with this deck, still trudging through to rank 12 with current build, but now I actually loose sometimes (combo rogue and priest are my two biggest enemies so far, quest rogue requires some sweat but is easily accomplished once you know what to do). Was able to do this with some revisions: -1 Knife Juggler -2 Kindly Grandmother. Reasoning: wasn't getting any value from juggler in my matches, and I do not have the grandma wing of the adventure.
Replaced with Hunter's Mark x1 which makes taunt warrior a hell of a lot easier, x1 Jeweled Macaw which has helped in some mid and late game situations, and x1 Trogg Beastrager per recommendations in this thread, but I have barely gotten any use out of it.
Vicious Fledgling x1 and Golakka Crawler x1 are crazy strong in this deck, won a number of matches basically on their backs.
I'm looking to replace trogg, and one of the Dire Wolf Alpha, because their benefits are just not being very consistent. What would be good replacements? How well do Dirty Rat, Stampede and Rat Pack fit into this deck? I like the look of all of them, in order listed. Also whats the verdict on -1 Stegodon and +1 Nesting Roc ?
Thanks, made me log into Hearthpwn for the first time in a year to say "nice dek!"
Edit: any other, general, card upgrade suggestions apart from Leeroy?
I suggest keeping both dire wolf alphas. Turn 1 ally cat into dire wolf alpha is such a strong opener, I've that opener fairly consistant as well. I think having both of them is the way to go.
Sitting at rank 14/15, struggling to get much higher. Finding that if I don't get decent 1/2 mana cards at the start the deck is useless :(
I must have brain damage or something. Feeling really frustrated.
I've been going up and down 2-3x rank 17-20. Someone please tell what I'm not understanding.
Have you tried defender of argus? i replaced stegodon for him and its been doing a good job, especially with that many 1/2 drops you might wanna get out of board clears or get favorable trades soetimes.
Great Deck, I've hit 12 with it and still climbing. I took out the unleash the hounds and added a second Vicious Fledgling though, I think it's too strong of a card to carry just one. If you can hit a windfury on first attack or "can't be targeted", it can win you the game almost by itself
Could this deck run dinomancy?
Dinomancy is slower and more value oriented, I don't think that this specific deck really wants to run it as it's trying to close out games really quickly
This deck is legitimate. I just reached Rank 10, and showing no signs of slowing down. Very high win rate if piloted correctly. This is by far the furthest I have ever climbed the ladder.
I'm telling you man I hit rank 3 with this deck and I'm still winning games at that rank! Happy to see you're successful with this deck also =)
I completely agree dude. I won 11 games in a row before i lost, it is such an insane deck.
Thanks for cheap hunt, got some replacements, ATM 75% win rate after 24 matches.
-1[card]Eaglehorn Bow[/card] +Dinomancy
-[card]Reckless Rocketeer[/card] +[card]Leeroy Jenkins[/card]
-[card]Golakka Crawler [/card] +Stampede
try -1 steg for +1 nesting roc might be a legit change
Dispatch Kodo maybe?
Well yeah:
10 games,. 5W/5L, so 50% at rank 16/17. Therefore wouldnt use it to climb ladder. Easely countered by common used decks.
There's a reason you're rank 16/17... You're playing the deck wrong. Literally went from rank 20 to 10 within 1-2 hours on straight win streak.
many of these haters ain't even hit rank 3... And I accomplished that with my deck aha
I'm one of those guys. Could never hit 17 or better with my basic decks, now I'm 1 win from 13. Some weeks ago I gave up the hope about reaching higher ranks in f2p, but CrispNClean restored my hopes. Crafting this deck was super cheap and super effective! This guy really deserves a cookie!
