I have a good feeling about this deck, going to try and pilot it to legend!
Preforming very well, with a 75% winrate (6/2)
a
I just finished this deck yesterday and had a little over 24+ hours to climb from rank 19 to as high as i could go. I made some changes to fit my needs as I am more or less a new player without a full collection from all the expansions in standard currently. In this time though I played for about 14 hours gametime and went from rank 19 to rank 8 but then fell back down to 10 after losing to 6 quest rogues in a row :/. However the changes I made were
-2 Shield Slam for +2 Sleep with the Fishes
-2 Shield Block for +2 Ravaging Ghoul
-1 Curator for +1 Primordial Drake
-1 Deathwing for +1 Twin Emperor Vek'lor
Again these changes were made since I lacked to cards and dust to fully fulfill this list. I crafted sleep with the fishes recently instead of shield slam and in order to provide some more early game synergy I replaced the shield blocks with ravaging ghouls since they had a whirlwind mechanic and provided a 3/3 body. Main struggles with this deck is draw. With removing the Curator and Shield Blocks, draw options are now limited to only 1 Acolyte of Pain. I think I could maybe add in a set of Slams however nothing in the list is expendable since it either represents a C'thun buffer or a taunt to progress the quest. Depending what rank you currently are at if you face more fast decks such as pirate warrior or midrange hunter I think the list I use is alright, however if you are facing more combo/control decks like quest rogue or control pally I think it is okay to replace the Ravaging Ghouls with Slams since your win condition besides C'thun in control matchups is usually the Hero Power provided by Sulfuras. Also against quest rogue a great comeback play to do when your opponent is low on cards and most of his 5/5's are already on the board could be Primordial Drake + Sleep with the Fishes which provides a 10 Mana 5 damage AoE and a 4/8 body with taunt. That's all I have for this deck, but if anyone else maybe could make some adjustments, I am open for suggestions!
This idea came to me in my sleep, and I wanted to know if anybody else thought of the same thing! :D
But one KEY change is -1 Deathwing for +1 Twin Emperor Vek'lor. Veklor is a key card to ANY C'Thun deck, and it forwards your quest too.
I think that's a really good change and a really necessary one too.
I am trying to make a deck like this myself. How did yours go? what rank did it make?
