This is the Open The Waygate deck that dog played on stream on 4/6/2017. It aims to cycle through your deck as fast as possible while completing your quest with Book, Tome, and Glyph.
The key combo is 2 Sorcerer Apprentice, 2 Molten Reflection, Archmage Antonidas, and Time Warp. Playing 2 Apprentices, 2 Reflections to copy the Apprentices, and then Time Warp will give you an easy path to unlimited Archmage Antonidas fireballs on the following turn, as long as you have a spell to start to Fireball train.
Tips:
"The goal of the deck is to cycle through your deck as fast as you can."
"If you can get through your entire deck, you win."
"Frost Nova is the most important card in the deck."
"The damage I do to the opponent's face is negligible."
Possible Cuts:
-1 Frostbolt; +1 Book for more help completing the quest/Cone of Cold to stall more/Acolyte of Pain for more draw
This deck is garbage.
Ok, If you stupid enough, I'll repeat - this deck is garbage. One shitty combo with 0 potential.
The only thing worse than a bad deck is a deck that takes the fun out of the game, which this is.
Guys, who knows with what can be replaced one Glyph?
A second Babbling book. You want a cheap spell generator.
Very good idea, but deck is too much squishy.. When is hand limit set to 10 cards, this game is about stress and count cards on hand. And shamans, or quest warriors eat this deck with Dirty Rat as dinner. 3 minions is win depending and if you lost one, its auto-concede. Same if you make mistake (or enemy play Codlight Oracle also - some quest rogues started do it) and you lose one of important Molten Reflection, its also lost.
My opinion is - its very hard deck to play, with 50/50.
It's not auto concede. Nobody generates that much health that you can't burn them out with 2 of the three minions and some Random spells. I just won a game where the warrior ratted my antonidas and brawled it away.
Much bigger problem is ratted fo Sorcerer...
Really solid deck! The only losses that happened to me were the time when your opponent rushes you real fast, e.g. pirate warrior, (lucky) quest rogue. The draw is incredibly fast here and I think it is more important to go for the draw rather than finishing the quest first. If you have all of the combo parts, you can utilize that 1 mana cabalist tome after 4 apprentices and the quest will be done fast, assuming you get lots of 0-mana spells after discounts from the tome. 1-mana left should be for the Time Warp. The next turn with another tome can be used for generating Antonidas' Fireball Fiesta. Great deck!!
How do you mulligan for hunter ? Clearing their minions is soo hard cause you really need the doomsayer + frostbolt and even after they just fill the board again...
i absolutely cant win a single match with this deck, maybe anyone can give me advice?
Theres always the same 3 types of games:
1) Block gets popped on turn 5-7
2) One combo piece missing
3) Too much card draw, no room for randomly generated spells
Pretty much have to cycle through your entire deck to obtain all the pieces unless you're lucky. You gotta keep an eye on how many cards are in your hand and you gotta get those cards out there on the board. Stall, stall, stall. The more you play the deck, the more you'll see how to efficiently keep space in your hand. Though it is particularly hard to win against aggro. Save your doomsayers for massive clears.
Your losses would most probably because of aggro decks. It's really a neck and neck situation facing aggro. The key here is to stall everything to maximum. Get another freeze spells from the glyph or an ice block and utilize doomsayer's 7 health for diversion or just use it with frost nova. You gotta be very careful in deciding any action with this deck. It has to be thought through to be effective.
Hi, I did a version with both Achmage Antonidas and Arcane Giant, check it out!

I love playing this deck. It's not that competitive, but when the combo works it feels even better than in version with giants. It's so awesome to kill cancer decks with this crazy combo!
few of mine reflections on that deck:
-acolite of paint is terrible and i dont advise using him as overdrowing is your main concern - and acolyte can draw u 3 card when u dont want it - believe me its terrible
-2x cabalist tome are sometimes problematic as u dont have free space in hand to cast them, but they realy help complete the quest if u get unlucky witch expensive spells form babling for example
-coldlights are so good in mirror :) U can even say that its your main win condition so be sure u have 2 of those, but dont play them against agro deck until u almost reach bottom of your deck, or u are already in "only ice block keeping me alive" situation
-thalnos is surely better than loot hoarder, but thats nothing new ;)
Muligan is steel tricky, as meta isn't clear yet.... Do u guys keep novice engineer for example?
Can I somehow add Shimmering Tempest to this deck?
