Hey guys here is a video of kiwiinbacon using this decks and explaining about it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dv-o29zvvU
Thanks kiwiinbacon
Very nice deck, had lots of fun! As people have pointed out, Quest Rogue is pretty much a 50/50 matchup. Out of the five games I played the only one I lost to was Quest Rogue because I couldn't get much power on the board early on. Still, the deck performed really well and I even decided to show some of the the gameplay.
0% winrate from 16 to 19. Wtf am I doing wrong?
Gotta love this community. Someone genuinely asks for help and gets downvoted with no answers.
Do YOU have any feeling as to where you may be making mistakes?
Bad mulligans?
Mis-using key cards at the wrong times?
Nothing to follow up with late game?
Make sure you plan ahead with elementals and get them enabled
Don't always play your 1 cost elementals every turn. Make sure you have some to activate your bigger elementals later in the game.
If I were to replace Jinyu Waterspeaker, what would be the better replacement? Bloodlust or Volcano?
Neither of those really fits, you want to be on board, so Volcano isn't very good for that (may be ok as a 1-of), and Bloodlust is much better with Stone Sentinel.
And two of either card is really bad.
Solid deck. Switched out the 2xJinyu Waterspeaker for +1 Igneous Elemental(for easier elemental chaining) and +1Eater of Secrets(for those pesky secret mages, thanks for the tip sTn). Gotta love getting the mage down to lethal, him thinking he is safe, and then you throw the Eater at his secrets :)
Currently running at 75%WR over 36 games, rank 25 -> 14. Biggest problem for me is Jade druids and quest rogues. Those decks are just too damn fast, can't keep up. However, found that Ozruk can be difficult for the rogue to deal with if you can chain 2-3 elementals into it, so keep it if you happen to discover it in this matchup(ofc it also requires you to reach turn 9:)).
Haven't met any pirate decks, so can't say too much about those.
All in all, a good deck, but you might want to make a couple changes to better your chances against certain matchups.
Floating around 9 and 10 atm. Hit a wall at mid 9, and just dropped down to 10 again.Thinking about doing some changes, maybe get some more jade cards in like 2xJade Lightning and Jade Chieftain for added removal and the obvious benefit of the jades. I do feel that the Ancestral Healing is highly situational, and can be swapped out for other more impactful cards.
Very nice deck. I had to substitute Al'Akir the Windlord for Kalimos, Primal Lord and a Bloodlust for one of the Blazecallers, and after testing the waters also replaced both Jinyu Waterspeakers and one Maelstrom Portal with +1 Volcano, +1 Igneous Elemental and +1 Fire Plume Phoenix. The deck plays solid against pretty much everything (except the broken rogue quest). The further changes made bridging the elemental plays together through turns 3-6 way easier, and Volcano has been saving my ass
Thank you :)
How does this do against rogues?
0% Winrate against quest warrior. Does not work in current meta at all.
I went from Rank7 to Legend with an Elemental Shaman deck. Not exactly this list, but somewhat similar.
19-16 vs warrior with a pretty even split between pirate and taunt. Hard matchup, but certainly not unbeatable .
Rogue was my only truly bad matchup. Farmed zoo and hunter.
Tell us the changes please?
Using jade claws?
If u simply copy + paste this deck, than ye its probably 0% winrate.
With few changes Taunt Warrior is one of the easier matchups. ;)
And I dont even own Kalimos and a 2nd Blazecaller (draw them with Servant).....no problem vs any deck I met so faar, always close defeats....simply think out of the box.
Also you need to know the curve of the enemy, how to bait him & keep different muligans vs different enemys ....def one of the harder decks to play. ;)
Only lose bcs bad decissions (never play drunk HS :P ) or in the rare moments where I have rly bad draw to counter (no AOE vs Aggro) and the enemy perfect draw.
it is really tough vs quest warrior.
I teched black knight bc quest warrior was ~35% of my matches at rank 5. Made it winnable but still really tough.
Who can reach rank 5 with this deck?
I went from 10 to 5 in 2 hours with the deck 15-3 currently.
